Randy Orton
has been the cornerstone of the WWE since 2002. And for over 23 years, 'The Viper' has consistently proved his mettle inside and outside of the ring. This involves remaining in character to fit in the storylines and to move the show forward.
However, there have been moments when the 14-time World Champion has done the contrary. Not in a sinister way but rather in a light-hearted manner. Here are 5 moments from Orton's career where 'The Apex Predator' seemed like a guy loving his work way too much.
Orton Performs a Special 'Gymnastics' RKO on Mark Henry
Back in 2011, Randy Orton was feuding with Mark Henry over the World Heavyweight title. During a match on SmackDown with also involved Christian, Orton performed his signature picture-perfect RKO on the World's Strongest Man.
However, the celebration after the move was rather uncharacteristic.
Randy Orton's toe-touch split RKO celebration: SmackDown, May 20, 2011
The usually stoic Orton jumped in the air in delight after the move and did a perfect split-legged toe tap in the ring to everyone's surprise. It was quite impressive considering Orton's 6'4'' and 250-pound frame to perform that move. Recently, a compilation featuring this moment was shared on X, which saw Mark Henry reacting and writing, 'This is why I love Randy!'
The New Day Forces Orton to Dance to Their Theme Song
Back in 2015, Orton and
Roman Reigns

Orton Breaks Character to Check if Raw Was off the Air
Wrestlers have a busy schedule. There is no denying that, and for almost every event, they are expected to stay in character while the show is running.
On an episode of Raw, Orton did something funny. While lying down on his back ringside, Orton pointed towards a fan and the time keeper to ask if the show was off the air.
wwe Randy Orton ask official if show is over and then walks away faking an injury lol funny
Once confirmed, 'The Viper' simply got up and started to leave as if nothing had happened. Although he did try to sell an injury to his arm, it was too late, as the clip quickly went viral and showcased the scripted nature of WWE.
A Hilarious Reaction to a Move Performed at Backlash 2017
Back in 2017 at Backlash, Randy Orton defended his newly won WWE title against
Jinder Mahal
.
'The Modern Day Maharaja' was naturally accompanied by his sidekicks, 'The Singh Brothers', ringside, and during the match, Sunil Singh tried to interfere on Mahal's behalf. However, Orton quickly took care of business and performed a vicious back body drop on the announcer's desk, which saw Singh bounce off the table and fall on the other side.
Randy Orton dropped Sunil Singh on the announce table during match.
The hilarious bit came in the form of Orton's bamboozled reaction to the move as 'The Viper' must have realized that the landing of the spot was a bit harsh.
Orton went on to lose the title to Mahal in that match, so it is safe to say that Singh's sacrifice didn't go in vain.
Orton Gets Stuck at the Announcer's Table During a Spot
Back in 2012, Randy Orton took on Kane on SmackDown. During a spot at ringside, 'The Big Red Machine' stalked Orton for the chokeslam on the commentator's table. However, Orton countered the move as he landed on the table on his feet and immediately kicked Kane to gain leverage.

However, his leg got stuck in the monitor fitting space, which saw Orton fall from the table. Fortunately, Orton did not suffer any injury and was rather elated at the spot, which was visible on his face with a grin, and he pointed to convey that he got lucky.

Narayani Shastri gets candid about switching gears between her dual roles in ‘Noyontara'; says 'It's not your usual good-versus-evil'

Known for enlivening positive characters on screen, seasoned television star Narayani Shastri is surprising viewers and inciting chills with her gripping double role in new supernatural thriller, 'Noyontara'. In this unpredictable tale of a ghost-whisperer, Noyontara trying to protect her husband, she essays the roles of two clashing mother-in-law figures, Lata and Lalita, locking horns in a twisted psychological game. Their conflicting presence leaves Noyontara (played by Shruti Bhist), caught in a chilling puzzle of who is protecting her and who's leading her into a trap. Set within the ancestral mansion Pari Mahal, the show's story spirals into a world of secrets, spirits, and deception. Relishing the challenge of embodying two contrasting characters, Narayani describes the show as a 'constant dance of doubt, where you're never sure who's the saviour… and who's the villain.' It's this very sense of uncertainty — a mother-in-law who could be either friend or foe — that is keeping the audience's guessing and glued to their screens. Speaking on the double role, Narayani shares, 'What instantly drew me to Noyontara was the duality—playing two women who are both powerful, but in completely different ways. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 5 Books Warren Buffett Wants You to Read In 2025 Blinkist: Warren Buffett's Reading List Undo Lata is calculated, cold, and always ten steps ahead, while Lalita is instinctive, raw, and fiercely protective. But what makes this so thrilling is that the audience doesn't know which one can be trusted. It's not your usual good-versus-evil. It's a dance of doubt, where you're never sure who's the saviour…and who's the villain. This is a reflection of how human beings wear masks, and the show plays with that constantly.' Talking about the current storyline, she added, 'Now, with Lata quietly laying the groundwork to remove every trace of Lalita and fully cement her control over Pari Mahal by welcoming Noyontara as her daughter-in-law, the danger has become more psychological than ever. She'll do whatever it takes to get what she wants, even if it means rewriting the past. As an actor, it's such a joy to dive into a script that doesn't hand the answers to the viewer on a platter but lets the mystery unfold slowly, keeping both the character and the audience in a space of emotional tension. After years in television, I was craving something unpredictable, and this felt like stepping into uncharted waters. That's what makes Noyontara special for me.' In the current track of the show, Noyontara returns to Pari Mahal, only to find herself caught between two familiar faces and one unsettling question: Surjo's mother may be dead. But if that's true… who's the woman living in Pari Mahal? Narayani Shastri is happy to work in the television industry
