BTS Reveals Plans for 2025 Festa Celebration in South Korea
Yara Sameh BTS has revealed new details about their upcoming 2025 FESTA, marking the K-pop group's 12th anniversary. FESTA is a yearly event that brings together BTS and their fans, ARMY, to celebrate their debut anniversary. This year's offline celebration is set for June 13–14 at KINTEX Exhibition Center 2 in Goyang, South Korea. The event will be open to the public and feature interactive activities, including a FESTA-themed game zone, DIY photo card stations, and a coloring wall inspired by BTS' album artwork. Attendees can also enjoy hourly light shows, explore a voice zone featuring messages from the BTS members, and visit an archive exhibit showcasing album covers, trophies and the members' personalized lockers. In conjunction with the in-person festivities, a lineup of online content — such as the annual 'BTS LIVE' and the family portrait — will be released. Exclusive merchandise will also be available. It remains unclear whether any BTS members — Jin, RM, SUGA, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook — will appear or perform at this year's FESTA. At the 2024 FESTA, Jin made his first public appearance after completing his mandatory military service, personally greeting 1,000 fans with hugs. He also performed solo tracks 'The Astronaut' and 'Super Tuna,' along with BTS' 'Moon.' While none of the other BTS members were able to attend last year's FESTA, each wrote heartfelt letters to ARMY that were shared during the event. BTS, also known as the Bangtan Boys, began forming in 2010 after Big Hit Entertainment founder Bang Si-hyuk recruited RM followed by Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. However, the band officially debuted in 2013. Chess stars turn cowboys for a day at Norway Chess games 2025 - Middle East Business News and Information
In a dramatic twist from the chessboard to the Wild West, the world's top chess players swapped pawns for pistols, sieves, and lassos in this year's edition of Norway Chess Games. Held on a tournament rest day, the tradition of light-hearted competition continued in unforgettable fashion with the 'Chess Cowboy Challenge', a high-spirited showdown in Westernbyen, a Western-themed village in Ålgård, just outside Stavanger. This year's participants was -the star-studded lineup from Norway Chess and Norway Chess Women. Sarasadat Khademalsharieh was unfortunately not able to join, and stepping in was Ella Carlsen, wife of Magnus, proving to be quite the sharpshooter in more ways than one. Adopting their new Western personas, the players embraced the theme wholeheartedly: Magnus 'The Lone GOAT' Carlsen Caruana 'The Sicilian Sniper' Hikaru 'The Blitz Bandit' Nakamura Arjun 'No Slip' Erigaisi Wei 'The Quiet Storm' Yi Gukesh 'The Chennai Sharpshooter' D Vaishali 'The Rising Rider' Rameshbabu Anna 'Ice Veins' Muzychuk Humpy 'The Hammer' Koneru Lei 'The Lockdown' Tingjie Ju 'No-Loss' Wenjun Ella Carlsen (stepping in as an honorary cowgirl) With nicknames as fierce as their over-the-board styles, the competitors were more than ready to tackle the cowboy gauntlet ahead. The Chess Cowboy Challenge took them through a series of wild tasks. They faced the Sheriff's memory test in a jail escape, sought enlightenment by solving the priest's riddle in the chapel, mined for gold, and tried their hand at axe throwing beside the church. Air rifles, lasso tosses, cowboy quizzes at the pleasure house, and classic horseshoe throws added to the flavor of the day, with real horses roaming the scene for that authentic atmosphere. Each team, made up of one male and one female player, competed across all stations as they worked their way through the village. Rainforest Camping Returns to The Green Planet Dubai This Summer
Rainforest sleepovers are back at The Green Planet Dubai from May 30th to November 1st, with guided tours, animal encounters, and overnight tents inside the tropical biodome. May 30, 2025 A tropical getaway in the UAE? Where else? The Green Planet, Dubai's lush indoor biodome, is bringing back its popular 'Camping in the Rainforest' experience this summer. From May 30th to November 1st, guests can spend the night surrounded by waterfalls, thick tropical greenery, and over 3,000 species of plants and animals — all inside the City Walk attraction. Running every Friday and Saturday night, the camp kicks off at 7:00 PM and wraps up by 8:00 AM the next morning. Guests can explore the rainforest by torchlight, with expert guides pointing out the nocturnal rhythms of the ecosystem — think fluttering bats, rustling leaves, and animals settling into their nighttime routines. The experience includes animal encounters, hands-on nature activities, and a torch-lit tour of the biodome. There's a buffet dinner, marshmallow roasting, and a nature documentary screening before campers head to their tents nestled among the trees. The morning wraps up with breakfast at The Green Planet Café and optional feeding sessions with some of the animals. The overnight camp is limited to 25 people per night, priced at AED 900 for two or AED 1,700 for four. Bookings are available through The Green Planet's official website. The camping experience is part of The Green Planet's broader educational programmes, designed to build awareness around biodiversity and environmental conservation by giving families a chance to connect with nature — without leaving the city. Regular daytime visits to The Green Planet will continue as usual throughout the summer.
