Rock band Heart gets one of their stolen instruments back, Atlantic City police say
A purple Telecaster electric guitar specially made for Nancy Wilson is now back in the possession of Hard Rock Atlantic City, which will return it to the band. Meanwhile, investigators continue looking for a missing mandolin.
Atlantic City police said the theft occurred after Heart set up gear ahead of a May 30 show at the Etess Arena at Hard Rock. Police used surveillance video to track a suspect, later identified as 57-year-old Garfield Bennett, of Pleasantville.
Detectives learned Bennett allegedly sold the guitar to a woman. The footage showed Bennett handing her the guitar before she placed it in a vehicle on the 1300 block of Pacific Avenue. Automatic license plate readers were then used to identify the woman's vehicle, and data from the readers showed the vehicle was still in Atlantic City.
A guitar and mandolin were stolen from the Heart concert at the Hard Rock Atlantic City on May 30 and police are searching for them.

An officer located the woman and spoke to her, and she then voluntarily surrendered the instrument.
The still-missing instrument is a 1966 Gibson EM-50 mandolin, which performer Paul Moak has played for over 25 years.
Police previously stated that the instruments should be returned or any potential purchaser could be charged with receiving stolen property.
"The continued use of advancing technology and the hard work and determination from our detectives and patrol officers led to the quick recovery of one of the missing instruments," Chief James A. Sarkos said in a news release. "The Atlantic City Police Department embraces technology that allows our officers to investigate and combat crime."
On her Instagram page, Wilson previously thanked "fans, fellow musicians, media outlets, and kind-hearted people from around the world" for their support after the theft was announced.
"It means the world to us. Your support has been amazing!" she wrote. Wilson has not yet posted about the recovered guitar.

For her part, Coates took particular issue with Trump's insistence that the museums his administration is reviewing focus only on suffering and oppression. 'Yes, it goes into the unvarnished truth of slavery in America, the brutal reality that millions endured and the impact that's still felt today,' Coates acknowledge about the National Museum of African American History and Culture. 'But the museum, if you actually go to it rather than just talk about it and see it on paper from a Truth Social post, it doesn't only focus on suffering. It is about resilience and achievement and celebration. Umbrella? History.' The CNN anchor noted that the museum highlights the achievements of Black icons like Muhammad Ali, Louis Armstrong, Jim Brown, Gabby Douglas and Carl Lewis. 'If that's woke, then maybe woke just means telling the whole story because every exhibition that I've just mentioned showcases exactly what Trump says that he wants: success, brightness, a look toward the future,' Coates argued. US sanctions more ICC judges, prosecutors for probes into alleged American, Israeli war crimes
WASHINGTON (AP) — The Trump administration is ramping up pressure on the International Criminal Court for pursuing investigations into U.S. and Israeli officials for alleged war crimes. The State Department on Wednesday announced new sanctions on four ICC officials, including two judges and two prosecutors, who it said had been instrumental in efforts to prosecute Americans and Israelis. As a result of the sanctions, any assets the targets hold in U.S. jurisdictions are frozen. The sanctions are just the latest in a series of steps the administration has taken against The Hague-based court, the world's first international war crimes tribunal. The U.S. has already imposed penalties on the ICC's former chief prosecutor, Karim Khan, who stepped aside in May pending an investigation into alleged sexual misconduct, and four other tribunal judges. In a statement, Secretary of State Marco Rubio said he had taken action against ICC judges Kimberly Proust of Canada and Nicolas Guillou of France and prosecutors Nazhat Shameem Khan of Fiji and Mame Mandiaye Niang of Senegal. 'These individuals are foreign persons who directly engaged in efforts by the International Criminal Court to investigate, arrest, detain, or prosecute nationals of the United States or Israel, without the consent of either nation,' Rubio said. He added that the administration would continue 'to take whatever actions we deem necessary to protect our troops, our sovereignty, and our allies from the ICC's illegitimate and baseless actions.' In a separate statement, the State Department said Prost was hit for ruling to authorize an ICC investigation into U.S. personnel in Afghanistan, which was later dropped. Guillou was sanctioned for ruling to authorize the ICC's issuance of arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Minister of Defense Yoav Gallant related to Israel's war against Hamas in Gaza. Khan and Niang were penalized for continuing Karim Khan's investigation into Israel's actions in Gaza, including upholding the ICC's arrest warrants for Netanyahu and Gallant, according to the statement. Wednesday's move carries on a history of Trump administration actions against the ICC, of which the U.S. is not a member, dating back to his first term in office. During Trump's first term, the U.S. hit the ICC with sanctions, but those were rescinded by President Joe Biden's administration in early 2021.

PGA tour spectator was 'violently' hit by golf cart at Oak Hill, lawsuit says
A spectator at the 2023 PGA Championship says she was seriously injured after she was hit by a rogue golf cart driver and "violently thrown" onto the turf of the Oak Hill County Club in Rochester during the tournament. The East Aurora woman, Lauren Lilley, is suing the country club, the golf tour and the media broadcast company, CBS Sports, for unspecified damages related to her alleged injuries. Lilley was standing along a rope fence designated for spectators when she was struck from behind by a golf cart operated by a member of the media crew for the tournament, her attorneys said in a court filing. Lilley was launched over the rope by the impact and says she suffered a concussion with loss of consciousness, a herniated disc and other injuries to her neck, shoulder and arm. Following the crash, Lilley required surgery and ongoing medical care for pain and permanent injuries that have and will prevent her "from pursuing her usual and ordinary activities, as well as her social and recreational pursuits," according to the lawsuit. The lawsuit accuses CBS Sports and CBS Broadcasting, along with a subcontractor, Robovision Inc., of negligence related to the use of the golf cart. The remaining defendants, including Oak Hill, PGA and PGA Tour, are accused of creating an unsafe environment while hosting a tournament that drew hundreds of thousands of spectators.
