He, however, warned that the govt will continue to crackdown against the establishments if they are found resorting to malpractices under this scheme.
Speaking at a conclave organised by Association of Healthcare Providers of India (AHPI) at a city hotel to address issues related to pending payments of government dues under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY), he said that govt will soon release legitimate pending payments.
The state chapter of AHPI had recently threatened to stop treating the beneficiaries of the scheme citing scores of pending dues from the govt since February this year.
Ansari said that the govt is sensitive towards every section of the society and their concerns, including the poor. "Approximately, Rs 192 crore in payments have been pending since February 11 this year, which will be resolved soon. Over the past seven years, a total of Rs 2,284 crore has been paid out.
Payments of Rs 485 crore for 7.3 lakh govt hospital patients and over Rs 2,000 crore for 14 lakh private hospital patients have been made till date," the minister said.
Ansari said the delays were due to ongoing probe against 212 hospitals identified by the National Anti-Fraud Unit. Technical glitches in the new portal system have also caused delays in payments to another 350 hospitals, Ansari said, adding that it is being resolved.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) announced the results of the e-auction for the third batch of Private FM Radio Phase III channels, with bids running into several crores in key markets. The lowest bid in the auction was of Rs 29 lakh for the 91.1 MHz frequency in Silchar in Assam. According to the official notification issued on Wednesday, prominent media groups including DB Corp Ltd, Sapphire Media Ltd, Malar Publications Ltd, The Mathrubhumi Printing & Publishing Co. Ltd. and The Malayala Manorama Co. Pvt. Ltd. emerged as major winners, bagging prime frequencies across multiple cities. HT Media Ltd secured the 93.7 MHz frequency in Moradabad for Rs 2.8 crore. Malar Publications Ltd. and Kal Radio Ltd. won the 91.1 MHz and 91.9 MHz frequencies respectively for Rs 1.93 crore each in Nagercoil and Kanyakumari. DB Corp Ltd. bagged multiple frequencies, including Rs 1.49 crore each for Bhuj and Gandhidham, and Rs 1.28 crore for Daman. Similarly, Malar Publications placed winning bids in Coonoor, Dindigul, Karur, Neyveli, Rajapalayam, Thanjavur, Tiruvannamalai and Vaniyambadi, with prices ranging from Rs 1.31 crore to Rs 1.68 crore. The Mathrubhumi Group and Malayala Manorama secured the 94.7 MHz and 93.1 frequencies in Palakkad for Rs 1.69 crore each. Ahalia Healthcare bagged the 93.9 MHz frequency in Palakkad for Rs 1.69 crore. The Digital Nomad Visa The F-1-D visa is issued for 1 year initially and can be extended once for another year, allowing a maximum stay of 2 years. Check eligibility - income, age, work type, and experience 2. Gather and translate documents into English or Korean; apostille Indian documents 3. Unions to protest demanding sand, laterite stone policy on Aug 18
Mangaluru: A massive rally of workers in the construction sector and other labour organisations affiliated with CITU and AITUC will be held from Ambedkar Circle in the city and proceed to stage a protest in front of the Mini Vidhana Soudha on Aug 18. Vasanth Achari, general secretary, Construction Workers Federation, Dakshina Kannada, said the rally and protest will be held to demand the govt to ensure the supply of sand and laterite stones in Dakshina Kannada. He told reporters on Thursday, that for the past three months, construction activities in Dakshina Kannada nearly came to a halt. The authorities' actions to curb illegal laterite stone and sand extraction resulted in a shortage of raw materials for this sector. The Karnataka state govt failed to organise legal sand mining and laterite stone quarrying. Due to the current issue, the construction sector is at a standstill as red stone and sand are unavailable in the district, he said. "Various types of workers in this field are left without jobs and are struggling to make ends meet. "A coastal sand policy should be formulated to ensure smooth and straightforward sand supply in the coastal districts. Opportunities should be provided for environmentally friendly sand mining and regulated laterite stone quarrying. Construction workers who are facing difficulties without jobs should be provided financial relief of Rs 10,000 per month," he added.
