Chop Robinson injury update: Miami Dolphins LB says he's good after carted off during practice
As Robinson was down on the field at the Meijer Performance Center in Allen Park, Michigan, Miami defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver and fellow linebacker Jaelan Phillips rushed to his side before a cart was brought out.
About an hour after the teams finished their joint practice, Robinson posted the following on Instagram:
"I'm good yall nothing serious."
That collective sigh of relief came from the Dolphins camp. Robinson is expected to join Bradley Chubb and Phillips to give the Dolphins a solid pass rush and help a depleted secondary. He was having a very good training camp, earning praise from coaches and his peers.
Phillips recently gave Robinson his highest compliment, predicting that the second-year man will grow into being one of the best players in the NFL. Chubb seconded it.
'One hundred percent,' Chubb said. 'He's lights-out, man. His motor, the way he bends the edge, the way he could play the run – I know a lot of people in here say he couldn't play the run, (but he's) nothing short of phenomenal, man, and I'm excited to see him keep growing.'

Robinson was taken 21st overall by the Dolphins in the 2024 draft and improved as the season progressed, finishing with six sacks to be named a finalist for defensive rookie of the year honors.
While the news was good on Robinson, the rest of the day's joint practice was a horror show for that unit vs. the Lions offense. Detroit quarterback Jared Goff had his way with the secondary with three red-zone touchdowns on four passes.
During the two-minute drill portion of practice, the Lions drove 60 yards to the Miami 10-yard line with Goff completing four of five passes.
The Dolphins' defense appeared frustrated with a couple of scuffles breaking out, including one that saw everyone on the bench run onto the field.

Brian Robinson has been a key part of the Washington Commanders' rushing attack since the team selected him in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft. That could change ahead of the 2025 NFL season. Fox Sports' Jordan Schultz reports the Commanders are "shopping" Robinson to teams around the league. Robinson (6-1, 228 pounds) is coming off a season that saw him post career-highs in rushing yards (799), rushing touchdowns (8) and yards per carry (4.3). The big-bodied bruiser served as the leader of Washington's backfield-by-committee approach, which also featured Austin Ekeler, Jeremy McNichols and Chris Rodriguez Jr. The Commanders retained all four of those backs for 2025 and also added seventh-round rookie Jacory Croskey-Merritt to the mix. Robinson is entering the final year of his rookie contract, worth a base value of just over $3.4 million, so Washington might be attempting to trade him to thin a crowded running back room and retain value for the free agent-to-be. Will the Commanders be able to find a taker for Robinson? Here's a look at a few teams that could hold interest in the 26-year-old running back. San Francisco 49ers The 49ers have a great lead back in Christian McCaffrey, but they could use depth behind the 29-year-old star. Projected backup Isaac Guerendo and fifth-round rookie Jordan James are both dealing with injuries that could impact their early season availability. Robinson's mix of size and power would complement McCaffrey – a more elusive runner – well. Commanders general manager Adam Peters also used to work in the 49ers' front office, so perhaps that could help get a deal done. Dallas Cowboys The Cowboys are projected to rely on a committee of Javonte Williams and Miles Sanders at running back early in the season. The two combined for 718 yards and six touchdowns on 194 carries last season; by comparison, Robinson totaled 799 yards and eight touchdowns himself on 187 carries. As such, Robinson would represent a big upgrade for the Cowboys. But would Washington be willing to trade one of its leading rushers to a divisional rival? The Commanders would probably like to send Robinson somewhere else if they trade him, but if Dallas has the best offer, they could consider it. TRADE DESTINATIONS: Texans, Eagles among best fits for Trey Hendrickson Houston Texans Joe Mixon's status for Week 1 is uncertain as he deals with a foot injury. Houston signed Nick Chubb in free agency, but it isn't clear whether he will be able to handle a full workload as he continues to come back from a catastrophic knee injury that limited him to a career-worst 3.3 yards per carry last season. The Texans could rely on Dameon Pierce and rookie fourth-round pick Woody Marks to help support Chubb, but acquiring a proven runner to support C.J. Stroud might be the better move. Kansas City Chiefs The Chiefs made it to the Super Bowl last season despite Isiah Pacheco and Kareem Hunt averaging 3.7 and 3.6 yards per carry, respectively, during the season. Pacheco might bounce back as he gets further removed from a broken leg, but adding Robinson as insurance wouldn't be a bad move for the Chiefs. Robinson's hard-nosed running style would fit the mold the Chiefs have sought in running backs in recent seasons. He's also bigger than both Pacheco and Hunt and could help keep the more explosive Pacheco fresh as part of a rotation. Los Angeles Chargers Is Najee Harris healthy after he suffered an eye injury in a fireworks accident? Are Jim Harbaugh and Greg Roman willing to trust Kimani Vidal and Hassan Haskins to play in tandem with first-round rookie Omarion Hampton until Harris can return? If the answer to either of those questions is no, the Chargers might look to add a veteran running back to provide extra depth in their run-heavy offense. Robinson would be a great, like-for-like replacement for his former Alabama teammate Harris and could allow Los Angeles to slow-play the 2021 first-round pick's return.

Latrell Mitchell cops massive new blow at hands of South Sydney teammate
Latrell Mitchell has an almighty fight on his hands to reclaim the fullback jersey for South Sydney, after a staggering performance from Jye Gray on Saturday night. Gray was best on-field as the Rabbitohs beat the Eels 20-16, taking them out of wooden spoon calculations. Gray had 27 runs for a whopping 221 metres, making six tackle-breaks, a line-break and a try assist. But it was his work on the defensive side of the ball that was most noteworthy. The Rabbitohs posted footage on Sunday of Gray's incredible field coverage on three-consecutive plays to deny Parramatta a try. Early in the second half, the diminutive fullback cut down the speedy Isaiah Iongi with a try-saving tackle when his opposite number looked destined to score. But not content with the brilliant tackle, Gray then raced across field and held Dylan Walker up close to the line on the very next play. Mitchell Moses then put in a grubber from 5m out on the next play, and once again it was Gray who was there to clean it up. "He is everywhere. I can't believe it," Steve Roach said in commentary for Fox League. "There must be two of him out there." But Gray wasn't finished. With two minutes remaining and the Eels trying to score the match-winning try, Iongi once again burst through the line and looked certain to score. Wayne Bennett usually prefers Mitchell in the No.1 jersey, but Gray was received plenty of playing time in 2025 due to injuries for Latrell. Mitchell made his return from a quad injury in the centres last week, before a pinched nerve in his back ruled him out of the Eels game. Bennett will be hard-pressed taking the fullback role off Gray even when Mitchell is back to full fitness. Wouldn't be too many more admired players for 100% effort in the NRL." Voss pointed out that Gray will be a prime target for the new Perth Bears side once they enter the competition in 2027. If the Rabbitohs want to hold onto him, they might need to ask Mitchell to make a permanent switch to centre - where he's shined for NSW and Australia. Tellingly, a poll of over 50,000 Yahoo readers show the overwhelming majority believe Mitchell should be playing centre for Souths. The Rabbitohs have now won six out of 13 games this year when Gray starts at fullback, compared to two out of seven with Mitchell in the No.1 jumper. 'I just think Jye Gray, in that particular side, is the energiser bunny. I think he is a first-grader and his only position is fullback," Voss said on SEN radio. Social media is awash with calls from Rabbitohs fans for Mitchell to be shifted to centre permanently.
