High-end hair salon targeted by offenders with axe in repeated attacks

Police are investigating alleged arson and break-in attempts at a luxury salon that has been the centre of multiple late-night attacks. The salon, on Burwood Road, Burwood in Sydney's inner west, was the target of alleged attacks on July 2 and July 5. On the first night, a man wearing black pants and a black hooded jumper was seen on CCTV pouring an accelerant throughout the salon, police said. A report was made to investigators when several men were seen attempting to gain access to the salon, police said. The accelerant was not lit, and there was no damage to the salon.
