Cenntro Announces First Quarter 2025 Financial Results
Cenntro Inc. ( NASDAQ: CENN ) ('Cenntro' or 'the Company'), a pioneering innovator in electric commercial vehicles, with advanced, market-validated, and purpose-built vehicle and smart technology products, has reported its financial and operational results for the three months ended March 31, 2025.
First Quarter 2025 Financial and Operational Highlights:
Peter Wang, Chief Executive Officer, commented: 'The first quarter of 2025 was underscored by continued international vehicle sales momentum across our product line. During the quarter we sold a total of 129 Electric Commercial Vehicles, compared to 96 vehicles in the prior year period, a 34% improvement. In the first quarter of 2025, our facility in Ontario, CA, assembled and delivered 14 vehicles to customers on the North American west coast.
'For the iChassis, we sold 27 units in the first quarter of 2025, although these units are not inclusive of the number of vehicles sold because iChassis is not considered a complete vehicle. The iChassis 100 is a smart chassis platform designed and manufactured by Cenntro, serving as a foundational component for autonomous commercial vehicles. At present, we exclusively manufacture autonomous commercial vehicles for third-party contractors in China, and in the 2024 calendar year we delivered more than 900 autonomous driving delivery vehicles incorporating the iChassis 100 in China. With strong demand for the iChassis platform and autonomous vehicle manufacturing capabilities, we are expanding our footprint in China and abroad.
'Several significant orders delivered in the first quarter continued to demonstrate global demand for our purpose-built electric vehicles. In Spain, we received an order for 200 special edition Logistar® 450P electric passenger vans from vehicle provider QEV Technologies, with 34 delivered in the first calendar quarter of 2025, 13 confirmed to deliver in the second calendar quarter of 2025. The LS450P model is a special edition jointly developed by QEV and Cenntro and holding European Union M2 Type Approval. In Japan, we secured an order for 500 customized Metro MR vehicles exclusively for the Japanese market. We believe we are well positioned to capitalize on additional opportunities in this key market, as the Metro MR is uniquely tailored to the requirements of the Japanese market.
'Looking ahead, we are leveraging our innovative capabilities to drive long-term shareholder value through portfolio diversification and the development of new vehicle models that align with market demands. We are focused on expanding our geographic footprint for production, distribution, and service infrastructure, especially in the US market. We expect a significant increase in revenue in the US market as we ramp-up our Ontario facility and introduce additional new models. Globally, we are increasing vehicle delivery efficiency and penetrating new markets where our vehicles are uniquely suited, laying the foundation for new orders and additional market share. As we continue our mission to revolutionize urban mobility through innovative, sustainable electric vehicles, we look forward to providing additional updates and milestones in the months ahead,' concluded Mr. Wang.

Why Micron Stock Popped Again Today
Key Points Micron changed its guidance today, raising forecasts for revenue and profit. The company earned only $0.70 last year per share, but could earn more than $8 this year. Micron's free cash flow continues to lag reported net income. 10 stocks we like better than Micron Technology › Micron (NASDAQ: MU) updated investors this morning with new guidance for its fiscal Q4 2025, which is currently underway. Shares of the semiconductor stock jumped 2.5% through 12:15 p.m. ET in response. What's Micron earning in Q4? Previously, Micron had told investors it would collect $10.7 billion in Q4 revenue, plus or minus $300 million -- so $11 billion max. Now, the company says it will beat that number, aiming for $11.2 billion, and potentially as much as $11.3 billion, and certainly more than $11 billion. Gross profit margins earned are also inching higher, with 43.5% the target instead of a previous guess of 41%. As a result, Micron is boosting its bottom-line forecast. Instead of $2.14 to $2.44, management says the company could earn from $2.57 to $2.71 per share. That's an extra $0.35 per share in profit. Management -- understandably -- tooted its own horn a bit, crediting "improved pricing, particularly in DRAM" for the extra earnings it expects to make, but also "strong execution." Is Micron stock a buy now? Once analysts get around to adding the extra $0.35 to their forecasts, it should raise consensus estimates to $8.17 for this year's Micron earnings per share. On a $122 share price, that works out to a P/E ratio of about 15 -- not a very high multiple for a stock that's now expecting to grow full-year earnings 600% year over year! All this said, Micron hasn't yet stated what its free cash flow for the year might be, and right now, it's FCF that's Micron's Achilles' heel (it's running about one-third of reported net income). Speaking personally, I'm going to wait and see that number before deciding to change my mind and declare Micron stock a buy. Do the experts think Micron Technology is a buy right now? Ford's cheaper, simpler $30K electric vehicles are how 'we can make money on EVs,' CEO says
Ford (F) revealed its plans on Tuesday to make cheaper and cost-efficient EVs, starting with a midsize four-door electric pickup. Ford has teased for some time now that its "skunkworks" team in California was working on a clean-sheet EV platform, one with software at its core — otherwise known as a "software-defined vehicle," or SDV. Switch Auto Insurance and Save Today! Great Rates and Award-Winning Service The Insurance Savings You Expect Affordable Auto Insurance, Customized for You The first product coming from that platform — dubbed the Ford Universal Platform — will be a $30,000 four-door electric pickup that Ford said will have more passenger space than a Toyota RAV4 crossover SUV, not including the frunk or truck bed. Ford said the vehicle will arrive in 2027, with more details to come at a future date. The platform will allow the company to make all kinds of form factors, such as sedans, SUVs, and vans, built at scale and with simplicity. Ford said the number of parts will be far fewer and the vehicles will be lighter. Ford CEO Jim Farley called it a "Model T" moment for the automaker, boldly claiming that this platform, as well as its production process, will revolutionize how the company makes its future EVs. "We want to start with the most universal car; this is what we think Henry Ford would have loved," Farley said to Yahoo Finance about the pickup body style, adding that "this midsize truck will really not be a truck anymore. It's more like the ultimate next generation crossover." Last year, Ford's Model e EV unit lost $5.1 billion, and the company expects losses to stay the same in 2025. The company sold 105,000 EVs, meaning the company lost around $48.5K per EV sold. Those numbers need to change, and Farley and Ford believe both the new platform and production strategy will flip the EV business into the green starting in 2027. Ford said its Universal Assembly Process will make efficiency key to building these new EVs. The process transforms the traditional single-row assembly line into an "assembly tree," where three subassemblies run in parallel before merging at a later point. Ford said the use of larger cast parts, allowing the front and rear to be assembled separately and then brought together, and the use of the structural battery in the middle of the car will make assembly faster and cheaper. "This [process] radically reduces our cost, including a 30% cheaper battery chemistry, and the battery usage is much lower than a BYD, like 20% more efficient, and we think this is the way we can make money on EVs. We've learned a lot. We've been number two to Tesla for a couple of years; we've been doing our homework for this next investment cycle, and this is the way for us to be competitive," Farley said. Ford will institute this process at its Louisville Assembly Plant. The company predicts the new truck will be built 40% faster than the vehicles currently assembled there. To that end, Ford will invest nearly $2 billion at the Louisville plant and create 2,200 jobs. Ford had previously committed $3 billion for its BlueOval Battery Park in Michigan, where the company will build cheaper prismatic LFP batteries using licensed technology from China's CATL. Ford's bet on cheaper EVs comes as the industry faces a make-or-break moment with fully electric vehicles. Thus far, Tesla (TSLA) has been the only company able to build EVs at scale and with decent profit margins. Now, the industry faces more competition and the loss of the federal EV tax credit in Q3 of this year. "It's a huge change for us. We're going to change the way we build vehicles, maybe the way the industry builds vehicles," Farley said. Pras Subramanian is the lead auto reporter for Yahoo Finance.
