Cloughbawn 3-16 Volunteers 2-16 An action-packed game at Bree on Friday saw Cloughbawn hold out against Volunteers in Group B of the Whizzy Internet Intermediate 'A' football championship. Eoin Doyle's men led by 2-10 to 0-8 at half-time. The Wexford town side looked to be all sorts of bother, with Gary Cullen getting red-carded just before the break to add to their woes.

Duffry Rovers had to dig deep before getting the better of Kilrush
Wexford People Today at 12:30 Duffry Rovers had it tougher than many expected before their 14 men eventually pulled through against tenacious Kilrush in Sunday's third round Whizzy Internet Intermediate 'A' football championship Group B contest in sun-scorched Samaritans St. Patrick's Park. Kilrush lost Garry Doran and Peter O'Neill to the sin-bin within a minute of each other early in the second-half and shortly before Duffry Rovers saw Dylan Purcell red-carded for an offence on James Byrne, which led to Seán Kirwan producing a two-point free to close the gap to 0-13 to 0-12 after 45 minutes.
