Meghan Markle reportedly lost her temper at one of the catering staff at her wedding and this reached Queen Elizabeth.
Meghan Markle's wedding in 2018 looked like a dream from the outside, but things behind the scenes were not smooth. Like many brides, Meghan was nervous before her big day. According to royal writer Katie Nicholl, Meghan reportedly lost her temper at one of the catering staff. She was said to be upset over a dish that included eggs, claiming it was supposed to be vegan and healthy. Her harsh tone with the staff reached Queen Elizabeth, who was known for being kind and respectful towards workers. The Queen didn't like how Meghan spoke to the team and was given some serious advice on how to behave.
As per Daily Mail, in her book, The New Royals, Nicholl wrote, 'On one occasion in the run-up to the wedding, Meghan went to Windsor Castle for a menu tasting and ended up having a tense exchange with a member of staff. Meghan was at the castle to taste some of the dishes, and told one of the caterers she could taste the egg. She got quite upset, saying that 'The dish was meant to be vegan and macrobiotic'. Suddenly, the Queen walked in and said, 'Meghan, in this family we don't speak to people like that'."
Meghan Markle has faced several allegations of being rude with staff during her time as a member of the Royal Family. In 2024, Royal historian Hugo Vickers shared that things weren't always calm when Meghan and Prince Harry were living at Frogmore Cottage. In one particular incident, Meghan treated a gardener so badly that the head gardener took the matter to Queen Elizabeth, who personally met Meghan to speak about the behaviour.
It wasn't just the staff who had issues with Meghan Markle, there was also a problem between her and her sister-in-law, Kate Middleton. In her 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey, Meghan claimed that Kate had made her cry before the wedding, but later said sorry and sent flowers. However, another royal author, Tom Quinn, shared a different version of the story. In his book, Yes, Ma'am: The Secret Life of Royal Servants, he explained that both Meghan and Kate had a heated argument while discussing the bridesmaids' dresses. They both said things they didn't mean and ended up crying.

Dolly Parton Shuts The Door On Meghan Markle? Another PR Move Backfires For The Duchess Meghan Markle reportedly faced a major snub after country music legend Dolly Parton declined an invite to appear on her Netflix show With Love, Meghan. According to royal commentator Kinsey Schofield, Dolly's team was allegedly 'livid' at the suggestion, viewing it as a calculated PR move to boost Meghan's credibility in the lifestyle space. Sources claim Parton wanted to protect her wholesome public image and felt Meghan was attempting to 'ride her goodwill' for clout. Journalist Maureen Callahan even joked that Dolly in Meghan's 'fake kitchen' would cause 'spontaneous combustion.' Despite the rejection, Netflix confirmed a second season of Meghan's show earlier this year. 2.3K views | 2 days ago
