Romano: Inter Milan End Pursuit of Lookman

Rana Atef Inter Milan decided to walk away from negotiations for Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. Talks with La Dea stalled despite Inter's verbal agreement with the Nigerian international, with Atalanta rejecting the Nerazzurri's €45 million offer and sticking firmly to their €50m valuation. Reports linking Nicola Zalewski's potential move from Inter to Atalanta as part of the deal have also proven inaccurate. With no progress in sight, Inter are preparing to notify Lookman's camp that the deal is off. The 27-year-old is expected to resume training and be available for Atalanta's Serie A opener against Pisa this weekend. Although Atletico Madrid have also been linked, there are no active negotiations at present. For now, Lookman looks set to remain in Bergamo, though a late Premier League bid could still change the picture before the transfer window closes. Having pulled the plug on Lookman, Inter are now prioritizing midfield signings over attacking reinforcements. French talent Manu Koné remains a leading target, but Roma have already turned down a €45m proposal. Genoa's Morten Frendrup is also under consideration, with the Danish midfielder continuing to impress as one of Serie A's brightest prospects. In defense, Inter are monitoring Udinese centre-back Oumar Solet. Meanwhile, Benjamin Pavard has drawn interest from Galatasaray, Marseille, Lille, and Barcelona, potentially opening the door for further movement in the market. read more Japan Stun Spain 2-1 to Qualify for World Cup Last 16 World Cup 2022: Get to Know Confirmed Line-ups of Japan and Spain Group E Decider Saudi Arabia Bid Farewell to World Cup after 2-1 Loss to Mexico Tunisia Achieve Historic Win over France but Fail to Qualify Tunisia to Clash against France in World Cup Sports Get to Know Squad of Group D Teams in World Cup Sports Al Ahly Gift EGP 70,000 to Players After Claiming Egyptian Super Cup Title Sports Bencharki Hits First 2 Goals with Al Jazira Since Leaving Zamalek Sports Arsenal Possible Line-up for Nottingham Forest Videos & Features Story behind Trending Jessica Radcliffe Death Video News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt News The Jessica Radcliffe Orca Attack? 100% Fake and AI-Generated
