As one of the most iconic franchises in sports, the Dallas Cowboys have a wide range of famous fans. Ahead of the 2025 season, one of their more notable supporters placed a steep wager on their opening matchup.
The 2024 campaign did pan out how the Cowboys hoped, largely due to injury. They won just seven games, their lowest total since 2020. After failing to make the playoffs, the front office got to work making changes to get the team back on track.
Though they still have unfinished business to attend to in the form of Micah Parsons, Dallas is in a position to turn things around this season. Among those who are extremely confident they'll be more competitive is NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal.

During a recent episode of his The Big Podcast, Shaq dove into his passionate fandom of the Cowboys. He is so bought into this year's team that he was willing to place a big wager with his co-host, Adam Lefkoe.
If Dallas is unable to secure a victory against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 1, the Hall of Fame big man will wear a dress outside of one of his hotels.
"We winning this year, I'm guaranteeing it," Shaq said of the Cowboys. "I will wear that dress in front of my restaurant at the Paris Hotel in Vegas."

Taking down the Eagles will be no small feat. Bringing back a majority of last year's roster, the reigning champions are in a strong position to go back-to-back.
The Cowboys had minimal success against Philadelphia last year, suffering blowout losses in each of their two meetings. In Week 10, Dallas was on the wrong end of a 34-6 defeat. Then, in Week 17, the Eagles secured a 41-7 win to sweep the season series.

With a fresh slate this season, the Cowboys have a chance to yield better results against the Eagles. One thing they'll have going for them is an upgraded cast of talent. Along with a healthy Dak Prescott under center, Dallas will be debuting their new wide receiver duo of CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens.
Following his recent wager, Shaq is someone who will be watching the Cowboys' opening matchup intently.

Dak Prescott Already Knows Who's Playing In NFC Championship Game
Dak Prescott Already Knows Who's Playing In NFC Championship Game originally appeared on The Spun. The QB is confident. Dak Prescott appears to really like his team's chances heading into 2025 — offseason drama notwithstanding. Despite all of the noise surrounding Micah Parsons and his very public standoff with Cowboys owner Jerry Jones over the DE's contract extension, Dak seemingly called his shot that this will be the year Dallas finally breaks its three-decade long NFC title game drought. Speaking to Rams owner Stan Kroenke ahead of yesterday's preseason game in Los Angeles, the three-time Pro Bowler promised the billionaire real estate magnate that Saturday wouldn't be the only time the two meet this season. Telling Kroenke and others: "We'll meet y'all in the NFC Championship Game." Fans reacted to the QB's confidence on X. "Another year of Cowboys disappointment," a rival celebrated. "Dak buying a ticket to the game?" a user asked. "This clip is gonna go triple platinum in January," another predicted. "I guess he's planning to meet him in the stands in Philly," Hard Rock Bet replied. "Dak win a playoff game? Be serious." "Dak can't even reach the nfc championship game in madden," another person joked. "Nah what kind of drugs is this man Dak on because I need some," another user commented. "MFer will be lucky to see 3rd in his own division and can't get out the first round if he had a first round bye," another fan said. "Is Dak a stand-up comedian now?" The Cowboys are coming off a 7-10 season in 2024 which saw Dak limited to just eight games with a hamstring that he partially tore off the bone; while Kroenke and the Rams nearly knocked off the Super Bowl champion Eagles in the divisional round back in January. But every season is a fresh one and hope always springs eternal in the lead-up to Week 1. We'll see if this is finally the year when the ball officially kicks off Thursday Sept. 4. Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader Grabs Attention With Preseason Photo
Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader Grabs Attention With Preseason Photo originally appeared on The Spun. A stunning Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader turned heads with her preseason photo ahead of the 2025 regular season. The Cowboys lost to the Rams, 31-21, on Saturday night. Most of the Cowboys' top players did not play. However, Dallas still had some nice moments, including a touchdown pass from backup quarterback Joe Milton. Milton, however, struggled in the rest of the contest, though some of his wide receivers stood out, according to the Dallas Cowboys' team website. If not for the struggles of Joe Milton, Flournoy would've had a breakout game against the Rams that would've potentially included two touchdowns and a lot of yardage, to boot. His ability to separate and run routes was put on full display, putting defenders in a blender on at least two occasions, but Milton was unable to get him a more accurate ball — it sailing on both occasions. If Flournoy keeps this up, however, given how outstanding his film will look from the preseason opener, he'll continue to get opportunities in the next two preseason outings … and maybe beyond. While the Cowboys struggled on the field, one of their team cheerleaders stood out off of it. A stunning Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader went viral during the course of the 2025 preseason game, standing out on Instagram. "ten days away 💙," they said, highlighting their first home game of the 2025 preseason schedule. The Cowboys, meanwhile, have work to do heading into the 2025 season, as they remain questionable in many areas. Dallas' first-year head coach, Brian Schottenheimer, will need a lot of improvement in key areas heading into the fall.
