Rihanna drops first new music since 2022
Rihanna has returned with her first new music since 2022.
The 'Work' hitmaker has shared 'Friend of Mine' from the new 'Smurfs' animated film - in what marks her first release since 'Born Again' from the 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever' soundtrack.
Rihanna will also voice Smurfette in the animated movie released in cinemas nationwide on July 18.
The 37-year-old singer - who hasn't released an album since 2016's 'ANTI' - previously showed off her voice talents in 'Home' and has acted in the likes of 'Ocean's 8' and 'Battleship'.
Rihanna previously admitted she's like to win an Oscar one day.
Asked if its on her list of goals, she previously said: "I'd love to get there one day. Who doesn't want to be told they are doing a great job?
"Any validation that your work is impacting is rewarding. I work hard and put my all into everything I do but the rest isn't up to me.
"I don't think anyone makes an album thinking about winning a Grammy, or makes a movie thinking about winning an Oscar. What you do is work as hard as you can and if awards follow, then that's great."
Meanwhile, A$AP Rocky recently said he would love to act alongside his partner Rihanna.
The 36-year-old rap star told Variety when asked if he'd like feature on-screen with the mother of his children: "Hell, yeah.
"You saw her acting in my film [the 2022 music video] 'D.M.B.' You saw her acting in [my 2013 music video] 'Fashion Killa'."
Rocky stars in 'Highest 2 Lowest', the new Spike Lee-directed neo-noir crime thriller film.
Rocky - who has RZA, two, Riot, 21 months, and a third child on the way with Rihanna - said: "That's gangster.
"Yo, this s*** is jokes, though. We both got movies coming out the same year. I didn't even realise that. Wow! Shout-outs to us - we've been working!"
Rocky would love to make a movie that his children could enjoy.
He said: "I want to do something for my children. Everybody's doing 'Despicable Me' and 'SpongeBob' and s*** like that. I want to do an original DreamWorks/Pixar-ass film, like 'Soul'.
"I like the internet stuff too, like 'Gracie's Corner'. I hate 'Cocomelon'. 'Cocomelon' is bad for the kids, man, but 'Gracie's' is hittin'. I just hope my kids don't grow up and think that s*** was lame. So, whatever I do, it's gonna be cool and timeless."

Will Ferrell confirms he will return to Broadway with stage musical adaptation of his 2020 Eurovision movie
Will Ferrell has confirmed he will return to Broadway with a stage musical adaptation of his 2020 film 'Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga'. The 56-year-old actor and comedian, best known for his roles in 'Elf' and 'Anchorman', is co-writing the Broadway script for the musical with Harper Steele and Anthony King. Will was quoted in Variety saying: 'We are more than excited to bring Eurovision to Broadway. The stage musical is a perfect place to continue our celebration of all the things we love about this amazing and unifying song competition.' The original film starred Will and Rachel McAdams as aspiring Icelandic musicians Lars Erickssong and Sigrit Ericksdottir, who dream of representing their country at the Eurovision Song Contest. It featured original songs such as 'Ja Ja Ding Dong', 'Lion of Love', and the Oscar-nominated ballad 'Husavik'. The new stage version is being developed with music by Savan Kotecha, and will be directed by 45-year-old Alex Timbers, whose previous Broadway credits include 'Moulin Rouge! The Musical', 'Beetlejuice', 'Here Lies Love' and 'Gutenberg! The Musical!'. Alex said: 'Will Ferrell and Harper Steele are my comedy heroes. And when I first saw their joyful movie 'Eurovision' during the pandemic, it buoyed spirits during a very dark time. With this stage adaptation, I can't wait to bring that same mix of heart, spectacle, irreverence and awe to audiences across the world.' No cast or production dates have yet been confirmed by producers. Will previously made his Broadway debut in 2009 with the one-man show 'You're Welcome America: A Final Night With George W. Bush'. He also co-wrote 'Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga' alongside Andrew Steele. The new project has the backing of the real Eurovision Song Contest. Martin Green, managing director of the event, said: 'This is a stellar team for what I am sure will be an equally stellar adaption of a film the world loved. Our aim always is to bring the joy of the Eurovision Song Contest to more people globally.'

Ana De Armas gives exciting update on Deeper production with Tom Cruise
Ana De Armas is currently "training" for 'Deeper'. The 37-year-old actress is working with 'Mission: Impossible' legend Tom Cruise on Doug Liman's supernatural thriller following an astronaut who discovers a terrible force while diving into a previously unexplored trench. Asked for an update on the project, De Armas told Deadline: "Training, just training, getting ready for what's to come!" She didn't offer any further details on the movie, but De Arms did open up on some of the lessons she'll be taking forward from her 'John Wick' spinoff 'Ballerina'. She stars as ballerina-assassin Eve Macarro in the action blockbuster, and the role has taught her to "take risks". She said: 'I think it's important to keep looking for truth, answers… To keep pushing until you find your truth no matter what. 'So, take risks and get to the bottom of it.' Meanwhile De Armas - who has been inspired by the likes of Uma Thurman - reacted to the idea she can become a similar role model for the next generation of women in film. She added: "It's beautiful, if that's the effect of my work, whether it's this movie or any other roles. It doesn't get better than that! "I'm very happy, I'm proud that that would be my contribution to younger generations. "I think this character actually has all those characteristics. It's really cool! I hope that's what it does." De Armas is preparing to work with 62-year-old Hollywood icon Cruise on 'Deeper', and she was delighted to see him supporting 'Ballerina' so publicly on his own red carpets. She told Variety: 'You know what, he supports every movie. He really wants the industry and cinema to do well and [wants] people going to the theaters. "We're working together, so he got to see 'Ballerina' and he actually really liked it. He loved the 'John Wicks.' "It is very special that someone like him is supporting ['Ballerina']. It is really special in general to have other actors and people supporting each other. We can do well all together.' She recently revealing the process working on the upcoming thriller has been "amazing" and she's doing "crazy training". She told WWD: "Obviously, everyone knows I'm working with Tom Cruise. We're working on something with Doug Liman and ['Mission: Impossible' director] Christopher McQuarrie, and those guys are unbelievable at everything they do. "And they're so lovely and a great team, and the process we're having is amazing. And of course I'm doing crazy training, as you do when you're working with Tom. "It's another level that just keeps setting the bar higher and higher. But it's so much fun. And we're not only working on that thing that we're training for, but also a couple other things too. We just got excited."

Arnold Schwarzenegger reveals instant reaction to son Patrick's nude White Lotus scene
Arnold Schwarzenegger was shocked by his son Patrick Schwarzenegger's nude scene in 'The White Lotus'. The 31-year-old actor stripped fully naked for a scene in Mike White's hit HBO anthology thriller, and his famous father "couldn't believe" what he was seeing. During a joint interview for Variety's 'Actors on Actors' series, Arnie said: "I couldn't believe [it]. "I said to myself, 'I'm watching your show, and I'm watching your butt sticking out there.' And all of a sudden, I see the weenie. "What is going on here? This is crazy." However, the 77-year-old action movie legend was quick to remind himself that he was also seen in very little clothing for some of his most famous roles. He added: "Then I said to myself, 'Well, Arnold, hello. You did the same thing in Conan and Terminator, so don't complain about it.' "But it was a shock to me that you were following my footsteps so closely." Patrick drew another comparison between their paths, and the reason for being willing to go above and beyond for a role. He said: "I guess the similarity from 'Terminator' to 'White Lotus' was that you were working on a project with James Cameron, who is one of the greatest directors of all time. "For me, it was a blessing to work with the writer, the director, the creator of 'White Lotus' — because Mike does everything." Reflecting on the original 'Terminator' - and the memorable naked scene - Arnold recalled how the movie was meant to be a departure from his musclebound image. He explained: "'Terminator' was a huge breakthrough because I was doing the 'Conan' movies, and this is exactly what my dream was when I was a kid. "You wanted to get into acting because of acting; I wanted to get into it because I saw Hercules on a big screen. "I started training and said to myself, 'I will become Mr. Universe, and I will be getting into movies because of my fame'. "'Terminator' was the first time that I was doing a film that had nothing to do with the muscles. It was with leather jackets on and being a machine. Only the opening scene was naked. But I'm talking about naked."
