I-83 crash causes object to dangle over Harrisburg bridge
(WHTM) – A crash on I-83 has caused a traffic message board to dangle from the I-83 Bridge.
abc27's Mallory Metzner was near the Dock Street Dam for a separate story when she heard a loud crash shortly after 5 p.m. That's when the message board, which warns drivers of traffic issues, was sent dangling from the bridge on the northbound side.
According to 511PA the shoulder is closed at Exit 43: Capitol/2nd Street. First responders are on scene.
This week is National Work Zone Awareness Week as construction ramps up during warm weather.
'The national campaign slogan this year is 'Respect the zone so we can all go home,'' said Luke Lazar, the Vice President of Risk and Safety at Flagger Force. 'What we asked the motorist to do are those four things that I identified: 'Pay attention, stay alert, slow down, move over, and eliminate distractions.''

Community adds form to report potholes, roadway concerns
MILLERSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) — A Midstate borough is making it easier to report roadway concerns to the streets department. Millersburg Borough announced the initiative in a tongue-in-cheek Facebook post Thursday. 'We hear you Millersburg, our roads are pretty bad,' the borough said in the post. 'While our annual budget only allows for limited paving projects, we want to do a better job at keeping up with the potholes. To meet this goal, we've launched an electronic reporting form where residents can easily submit a road hazard.' The new form is under the Streets tab on the borough website. There, residents can report any sort of roadway hazard, including potholes, flooding, a tree or branch issue, and more. They hope to address all complaints within four business days.
