V Sivankutty
on Monday said that the recognition of schools that conduct entrance examinations for admissions to Class I will be cancelled.Speaking to reporters in Alappuzha on Monday, Sivankutty said that it had come to light that such exams are being conducted in some schools.
This will not be accepted under any circumstance, he said. The minister also said that no irregularities regarding

This will be made possible in all places, including Malappuram. He also said that there is a govt order to collect a small amount as a PTA fund.
"Some schools are violating this and are collecting amounts ranging from Rs 5,000 to 10,000. No admission will be withheld on account of that," he said, urging parents to not pay any such amount. The minister also indicated that the change in school timings will not be introduced this academic year. The govt received the report of the expert committee formed based on a high court decision."The report was prepared after detailed consideration of three areas, including academic activities in countries that are at the forefront of education in the world. It was found that the working days in the state, which are considered five days a week, are less than the working hours at the international level. Anti-drug campaigns will be intensified in schools. Entry of people into the school unnecessarily during class hours won't be allowed. If required, the school bag of a student can be examined in the presence of the teacher," Sivankutty said.Meanwhile, chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the school pravesanolsavam to be held at the Govt Higher Secondary School in Kalavoor on June 2.

The Uttar Pradesh Police have unearthed a fake 'embassy' operating in Ghaziabad and arrested a man claiming to be an 'ambassador' of a non-existent country called 'West Arctica', The Indian Express reported on Wednesday. The arrested man was identified as Harsh Vardhan Jain, a resident of Kavi Nagar in Ghaziabad, PTI reported. Additional Director General of Police Amitabh Yash claimed that Jain was running a bogus embassy from a rented house and projected himself as the diplomatic representative of several non-existent countries such as West Arctica, Saborga, Poulvia and Lodonia, the news agency reported. The accused also moved around in vehicles bearing fake diplomatic number plates, Yash added. Jain reportedly used the setup to pass himself off as a powerful global player. ‘Won't Go For Tax Recovery': Karnataka CM After Vendors Get GST Notices For UPI Transactions
Last Updated: Karnataka vendors had called for boycott of UPI transactions and announced a protest on July 25. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has reacted to the development. Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Wednesday clarified that the state government would not recover taxes from street vendors selling exempted goods and services. This comes after a section of small and micro traders across the state objected to receiving GST notices linked to their UPI transactions. Several traders' associations appealed to these businesses to boycott the UPI transactions and announced a statewide strike on July 25. Siddaramaiah said that the traders have agreed to drop the protest that was called on July 25. 'Even if notices have been issued, we won't go for tax recovery. Traders have agreed to drop the protest called on 25th. We have asked for compulsory registration," the Chief Minister said. Small vendors and traders across the state raised serious concerns after getting GST notices from the commercial tax department for UPI-based transactions that exceeded Rs 40 lakh annually. They had urged the government to revoke these notices and demanded a relaxation in the enforcement of these rules for small-scale vendors. He also extended the BJP's support to the protest called by the traders across the state. 'The Commercial Tax Department issuing GST notices to small and micro traders has sparked widespread concern. These traders are deeply worried, while the chief minister and his ministers are attempting to shift the blame on the Centre," Vijayendra said. He also pointed out Siddaramaiah's earlier public statement that 'Karnataka must surpass Maharashtra to become number one in GST collection". The BJP leader said that the Chief Minister had set revenue targets for officials. 'At a time when the state coffers are empty, the CM is pressuring tax officials to issue recovery notices. I urge the chief minister to immediately halt the issuance of these notices to small and micro traders and to withdraw those already served," he said.
