COIN Disband Following ‘Revelations' About Bandmates
COIN are calling it quits. The Nashville-based pop-rock trio is officially disbanding, frontman Chase Lawrence announced on Tuesday (Jan. 28), citing 'revelations' about his bandmates that conflicted with his values.
'I have recently become aware of revelations around my bandmates and want to share some thoughts directly with all of you,' Lawrence wrote in a statement posted on the band's official Instagram account.

'I believe in accountability and doing what's right.'
The news comes just weeks after COIN announced plans to tour without drummer Ryan Winnen, who left the band earlier this month 'to focus on some personal matters.' In his statement, Lawrence revealed that he has now also parted ways with guitarist Joe Memmel.
'Three months ago, I made the decision to move forward without my drummer, and yesterday, I parted ways with my guitarist,' he continued. 'Their behaviors directly conflict with my values, and I am devastated for anyone who has been affected by these actions.'
Formed in 2012, COIN rose to prominence with their breakout single 'Talk Too Much' in 2016, which peaked at No. 8 on Billboard's Alternative Airplay chart. The band released five studio albums, including I'm Not Afraid of Music Anymore, released in 2024.
'Creating a space for love & joy through music has always been my mission,' Lawrence added in his statement. 'Discovering that this space has been compromised by the actions of others is truly heartbreaking. Unfortunately, these developments have led me to the decision that COIN can no longer continue as a band.'
The singer apologized to fans for 'the disappointment this may bring' and confirmed that refunds for the band's now-canceled tour dates would be available at the point of purchase. Despite the band's dissolution, Lawrence hinted that he will continue making music in some capacity.
'There's a lot to figure out about the future, but I know I'm not done making music yet,' he concluded.

Heidi Klum shared a selfie video on Instagram of herself dancing as she watered the plants in her garden in a nude-colored string bikini. Klum's video is part of her campaign for Calzedonia. She has shared a number of shots of herself in Calzedonia bikinis in recent weeks along with an image of herself in nothing but Calzedonia Klum has been doing some rather unorthodox gardening this week. In a new Instagram post, the model and TV presenter filmed herself watering her plants while dancing in a nude string bikini. In the video, she gazed into the camera as she flung her blonde hair around to Tate McRae's "Sports Car" as her dog walked around in the background. She wore a smokey eye look, chunky gold earrings, and white sandals alongside her nude-colored bikini. "Did you know that I have hazel eyes? 🌰👁️," she wrote in the caption, referencing a lyric from the song, before tagging Calzedonia. Klum has posted a number of shots of herself in Calzedonia's swimwear and hoisery in recent months. In April, for instance, she shared a snap of herself going pantsless at the sound studio to show off her Calzedonia stockings. Last year, Klum opened up about her confidence in wearing skimpier outfits. 'I'm not shy about my femininity. ‘Ed the Zebra' mural painted in Nashville
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Ed the Zebra has garnered national attention over the last week and a half. Now he's immortalized on a Nashville art piece. The artist who goes only by 'Bandit' is a Los Angeles-based artist. He painted the zebra on a wall along 8th and Edgehill Avenue, if you want to go check it out yourself. 'Bandit' is a traveling artist who does a lot of research on what is going on in cities before he shows up. He usually paints politically motivated murals, but saw that Ed the Zebra was creating a ton of buzz in Nashville so this time he switched it up to something lighthearted. 'Ed the Zebra' captured after 8 days on the loose in TN 'Bandit' says the children in the painting are meant to represent the child-like joy the zebra chase gave to Tennesseans. 'Just showing how we're a bunch of kids chasing animals all the time, it seems like. It seemed like a rat race to catch this zebra. Children always add a humorous, satirical feel to the work as well.' The artist says he did not get permission to paint this mural.
