The Ballad of Kajang Prison – Of Bossku's solo birthday bash
He cuts a forlorn figure
Sitting on his bed of plank
With nary a thought of joy
To lighten his heavy heart.

Oh! How I wish to gaze the sky
And breathe its air of pure freedom!
Now he shakes his head in gloom
To remember thus all those years
Of unbridled power and kingly cash.
Brought down by pitiless law
He spends days and nights
Ruminating his luckless fate
When once life for him an endless
Parties of birthday bliss.
Birthday? Ah! Something clicks
In his mind as he looks up
To see on the grimy wall
A note he scribbles reminding
Him today was he born!
Then footsteps he hears
A warder outside his dingy cell
A rattling noise he makes
As he thrusts something
Through a small opening.
Happy birthday Bossku DS @NajibRazak may Allah SWT bless you always

In the patch of light so dim
He barely makes out a small
Cake served on a banana leaf
With some words scrawled
Carelessly across the soft top.
Hari jadi Bossku! He looks aghast
At this spongy thing he thinks
A cruel joke played on him
For in all his festive gatherings
Never did he bite a banana cake.
🤣🤣🤣 Birthday Najib la today(23rd July) Madani punya bodoh sebab ada boot lickers ramai sampai announcement pun pathetically timed🤣🤣🤣 pic.twitter.com/eJHscFYpUy

Oh! How he craves those yummy
Butter cakes with all those
Chocolate icing richly laid
With small cute candles
For him to blow come every year.
Now with mournful eyes he stares
This bare banana cake for him
To usher in his 72th milestone
With no friends or family members
To share some watered-down fun.

He bestirs a force uncontrollable
Swelling up in him bringing
Tears to his tired eyes
His trembling voice on the verge
Of giving vent to his feelings.
He looks all around him
As if seeking human companionship
But only espies one lonely
Figure standing before him
'Tis his shadow on the wall.
Then the dam bursts his low
Sound from his throat
Breaks forth a song
To his shadow he sings:
Happy birthday to you!
He lays himself on his rough bed
Fixes his swollen eyes on the ceiling
A birthday wish he must make
Slowly he forms his words:
To home! To early home! – July 27, 2025

(Photos) Miss HK 2025 Contestants Pose In Swimsuits During Filming In Penang
As we get closer to the finale of this year's Miss Hong Kong Pageant 2025 (2025香港小姐競選), we're getting more content of the contestants, including new photoshoots. Recently, TVB dropped pictures from the contestants' swimsuit photoshoot, giving the public a glimpse at the ladies' toned physiques. The 14 contestants are currently in Penang, filming at some of the state's most iconic sites for the pageant. Yesterday (4th August 2025), the ladies appeared at Batu Ferringhi Beach to film the highlighted segment of the pageant, the swimsuit portion. While it had rained on the morning of the photoshoot, the contestants remained in high spirits throughout the filming. TVB has since released photos from the shoot, showing off the pageant hopefuls' eye-catching bodies. As shown in the pictures, the contestants don tropical-inspired swimsuits in pastel blue and orange tones. Since most of the ladies are very active in sports, they boast impressive and well-proportioned figures. In an interview with an entertainment news programme, contestant Stacey Chan (陳詠詩) said she also made sure to monitor her eating and exercise more before the photoshoot to achieve the best results. Besides the swimsuit photoshoot at Batu Ferringhi Beach, the contestants also filmed for the pageant at City Hall in George Town last week. Elegantly dressed in white, the 14 finalists turned heads and drew curious onlookers with their beauty. This year marks the first time the Hong Kong beauty pageant has been filmed in Penang since its establishment in 1973. The filming is part of a collaborative effort between the Penang State Government and TVB. Given the popularity of the pageant, the government is hoping to boost tourism by highlighting local attractions through the programme. State tourism and creative economy committee chairman Wong Hon Wai spoke about the collaboration, saying, 'Through the lens and journey of the contestants, the Miss Hong Kong Pageant 2025 will offer global audiences an immersive glimpse into Penang's breathtaking landscapes, rich cultural heritage and contemporary charm.' The Miss Hong Kong Pageant 2025, where this year's Miss Hong Kong will be crowned, is scheduled for 31st August 2025 (Sunday). Which contestant has caught your attention so far? Man transforms home into Lego wonderland, studio and all
YOU know you have an amazing childhood if you have assembled ass-kicking starships, skyscrapers or build township with lego. But what happens if the game is being brought even into adulthood? Then again, is it that surprising to find an adult playing with lego? Looking at the price tag attached to some of these lego sets, we are certain they are out of reach for the average child. Take it from a man who turned his entire home into an elaborate lego collection in a video on X. Upon entering, guests are greeted with a ship made completely from lego. The home is spacious and the corners are filled with shelves containing lego building blocks as well as more lego models. Anyone could have easily mistaken his home as a lego shop. There was even a studio within his house where he would host live lego contents. According to him, his mother bought him a lego super car when he was 10 years old. But are adult lego collectors a rare breed? Apparently not. According to the website Blocks, Adult Lego collectors are called AFOLs. AFOLs stands for Adult Fans of Lego. There are also LEGO clubs where AFOLs gather to build, discuss the latest goings-on and plan events. 'Not everyone wants to go to physical meet-ups though and there are many people who join Facebook groups or forums to discuss the hobby. Many AFOLs though are just happy enough enjoying the hobby by themselves and building models at home,' said Blocks. Blocks added that some AFOLs go on to start a career at the LEGO Group. Very talented builders can get jobs as LEGO model designers, designing the sets that are then sold in stores. People who want their models to be released as a set can submit their creations to Lego Ideas, the platform where fan designs can become official products. However, this opportunity is unlikely to be available on Malaysian shores. —Aug 1, 2025 Main image: @bckupacc99 (X)
