Welcome back to Nevermore Academy!
From the woeful world of Netflix's Wednesday, the mildly ominous doors of Nevermore Academy: Malaysia Campus are officially open at Sunway Pyramid's LG2 Blue Concourse from now until 17th August. Embrace your inner Outcast and report for orientation… if you dare.
The journey begins at the Nevermore Academy Student Centre where prospective students are required to present themselves for registration, after which they will receive a personalised Student ID and Report Card to complete as they make their way through the hallowed halls of Nevermore.
Newly-enrolled students are encouraged to explore and experience all Nevermore Academy has to offer, especially when surviving orientation hinges on collecting every stamp in the Report Card.
Do not get trapped in the shadows as you hunt for treasures in the dark in Nightshade Library, and try not to blow anything up when mixing 'potions' in Alchemy and Transmutation class. For those with an edgy creative streak, the Elemental Botany class has everything you need to create your very own macabre masterpiece.
There's no rest for the wicked at Wednesday and Enid's Dorm, as the polar opposites have misplaced some of their belongings. Keep your eyes peeled for their respective items of interest, and make sure to head out to the balcony to snap a photo with the iconic stained glass spiderweb window before you leave.
Get through all the orientation checkpoints unscathed and you might just go home with a mysterious prize*.
* Limited quantities daily; available on a first come, first serve basis.
Elsewhere in Klang Valley, a larger-than-life Thing is on the loose!
The only Thing to move around and visit local spots, Netflix Malaysia made history by bringing the Biggest Moving Thing to life, so if you find yourself at the right place and the right time, you might spot the Thingmobile chilling under the sun or scuttling around town between now and 10th August.

#SHOWBIZ: Lee Sinje marks debut in a Chinese-language Netflix series with 'The Resurrected'

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian-born actress Lee Sinje, also known as Angelica Lee, is set to star in the upcoming Netflix thriller series The Resurrected. This will be her debut in a Chinese-language Netflix series and a new venture for the actress, who is from Kedah. The series is co-directed by acclaimed Taiwanese filmmakers Leste Chen and Hsu Chao-jen. Lee is best known for her leading roles in the acclaimed films The Eye (2002)—which earned her the Golden Horse Award for Best Actress—and The Garden of Evening Mists (2019). She also served as a producer on the critically acclaimed Malaysian film Abang Adik (2023). In a statement yesterday, Lee shared her excitement: "I've never encountered a female-driven story that's so intense, a little wild, and deeply emotional. It was such a thrill to be a part of it, and of course, I'm even more excited for the day we get to share it with audiences around the world." Lee will star alongside acclaimed Hong Kong–Taiwanese actress Shu Qi, who is also making her first appearance in a Chinese-language Netflix production. Lee admitted that she was immediately drawn to the script, which she described as bold and groundbreaking. Set in the fictional city of Benkha, The Resurrected centres on two mothers, Wang Hui-chun (Shu Qi) and Chao Ching (Lee), who are united by hatred and seeking revenge for their daughters, who are caught in a fraud and kidnapping case. The cast also features a strong ensemble, including Alyssa Chia, Fu Meng-Po, Sukollawat Kanarot, Chung Hsin-ling, Caitlin Fang, Lin Ting-yi, Liu Chu-ping, Vivi Chen, Rexen Cheng, and Patrick Nattawat Finkler. The Resurrected premieres exclusively on Netflix on 9 October.

Pamela Anderson: 'Yes, Sylvester Stallone tried to seduce me with a Porsche'

Canadian-US actress Pamela Anderson revealed Stallone's offer in her 2023 Netflix documentary, 'Pamela, A Love Story'. Photo: AFP Pamela Anderson has hit back at Sylvester Stallone for denying her claim that he once tried to woo her and make her his 'No. 1 girl' by offering to buy her a condo and a Porsche. Anderson stuck to her story about Stallone while appearing on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen Sunday. Seated next to her new boyfriend, Liam Neeson, her co-star in the cop-drama spoof The Naked Gun , Anderson played along with Cohen's game in which the host asked her to respond to media reports about her. Cohen explained that Anderson, 58, revealed Stallone's offer in her 2023 Netflix documentary, Pamela, A Love Story . As Anderson nodded, Cohen then said Stallone, 79, allegedly asked the former Baywatch star to be his 'No. 1 girl' in exchange for buying her a condo and a luxury sports car. In her documentary, Anderson also had said she rejected Stallone's offer by quipping: 'Does that mean there's a No. 2 girl?' Stallone allegedly replied to her rejection by saying: 'That's the best offer you're gonna get, honey. You're in Hollywood now.' Cohen then asked Anderson: 'What was your reaction to Stallone coming out after the doc was released and saying this was a falsehood?' Anderson laughed, shook her head, rolled her eyes said, 'Well, how could you make that up? You know?' 'Right!' Cohen replied, as Anderson looked to Neeson, then laughed again and said, 'That was pretty specific.' Cohen then asked Anderson whether there was a 'different car' that might have changed her mind about dating the Rocky legend. 'Maybe, like, a Shelby Cobra,' Anderson joked, before repeating 'no' several times. Neeson, meanwhile, laughed along before admitting to Cohen that he was yet to offer his new girlfriend a car. And while Anderson said she turned down action-star Stallone's affair offer, it was reported last week that she and Neeson, a late-career action star with the Taken movies, are dating. Indeed, their affection for each other was pretty evident on Cohen's show as the Irish actor reached out to touch Anderson's shoulder, and she sweetly patted his hand. A source told Us Weekly that Anderson and Neeson 'always had chemistry while they were filming The Naked Gun , and their friendship naturally developed into more.' This source also said the new couple are 'learning how to navigate (a romance) together' as they continue their whirlwind publicity tour for The Naked Gun , a reboot of the hit comedy franchise from the late 1980s and early 1990s. 'They are both shy and have tried to stay private, but the spark between them is obvious,' the source added. It was reported last week that Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson are dating. Photo: Reuters Meanwhile, Stallone's representative was adamant in denying Anderson's claims that he tried to buy her love and attention. 'The statement from Pamela Anderson attributed to my client is false and fabricated,' the rep said in a statement in 2023. 'Mr Stallone confirms that he never made any portion of that statement.' – Mercury News/Tribune News Service
