K-Pop girl group UNIS geared up for a ‘Swicy' comeback
is another up-and-coming group in the Korean music industry. The group, formed after a rigorous and hard competition/survival show, features members Hyeonju, Nana, Gehlee, Kotoko, Yunha, Elisia, Yoona, and Seowon.
Second EP, 'Swicy'
The group made a powerful comeback with their new second EP titled 'Swicy' that features a sweet and spicy tone. The group has shared that with this EP they wish to showcase a completely different side to the public. The girls want to come back with a bang and have a 'do it all' energy for this comeback.
The EP features 5 tracks in total, namely, 'From a Seed Called 'Hey, What's Up'?,' 'DDANG!,' 'Good Feeling,' and 'Spring Rain,' along with the title track 'SWICY.'
The concept of 'Swicy'
In an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla, the group shared more about the comeback, their hopes for the future, and more plans. When talking about the concept of this comeback, member Hyeonju shared that the concept combines 'sweet' and 'spicy' together. She shared that 'SWICY is a new word that combines SWEET and SPICY. I think it would be a bit boring to only show one thing—sweet or spicy—and we wanted to show both the spicy and sweet charms that are unique to UNIS.'
Good Feelings and Key Rings
One of the featured tracks in the EP makes reference to 'key ring,' which has become a popular fad amongst Gen Z currently. The group was then asked about what their favorite keychains are. All of the members shared that they prefer cute keychains, such as cat and dog keychains, My Melody keychains, anime keychains, etc. Elisa's answer, though, melted hearts as she shared that her favorite keychain was a name tag key ring the members of the group had made for one another during their debut.
Trying new things this comeback
In the same interview, the members also talked about what is different about this comeback. When asked if they are sticking to their known strengths this comeback or if they're opting for something new, the members have detailed answers for what all they were incorporating this comeback. Gehlee and Elisa emphasized how much they practiced this comeback. With new and hard choreographies, the members shared how they are challenging themselves by trying new genres and moves.
Yoona and Hyeonju majorly focused on their looks and their vocals, with the latter sharing that this comeback she managed to try out short hair and also worked on improving her ad-libs. Yoona, on the other hand, showed her excitement, sharing that 'I wanted to show my individuality more clearly! I thought that SWICY really suited me so well that I focused on facial expressions that matched the mood of the song!'
Hopes and dreams for the future
When asked about what all they wish to achieve this year with this comeback, all the members enthusiastically replied that they wish to win the 1st position during music show promotions. Gehlee also sweetly added that they wish for more opportunities where the group gets to show their side to the public more.

War 2 Sells 78,000 Tickets In Top Chains With 1 Day To Go In Hindi; Gears Up For A Rs 30 Crore Plus Net Start; Telugu Bookings Start Well War 2 's bookings in Telugu states have started on a heartening note. Jr NTR fans have been aggressive with the bookings in the twin state. Obviously, the collections are not like a quintessential Tollywood movie because it is seen as a Bollywood film at the end of the day, limiting its potential. But, they are pretty solid. It will likely take the third biggest Bollywood opening for the Telugu dub, only behind Saaho and Adipurush. War 2 Will Aim For A Rs 50 Crore Plus Day 2 In Hindi War 2 will aim to smash Rs 50 crore plus net on Independence Day, for the Hindi version alone. All that the movie really requires is good reports to unleash its potential. The clash of War 2 with Coolie never felt like too big of an issue initially. However, Coolie has done extremely well to make inroads in markets where War 2 looked to be like the clear favourite. War 2's International Bookings So Far Are Strictly Ordinary War 2's international bookings so far are ordinary. A USD 2.5 million opening day and USD 8 million opening weekend is on the cards. Cate Blanchett reflects on her 'Squid Game' cameo, talks about returning for a possible English spin-off
It's been a while since the final season of 'Squid Game' hit Netflix, but one moment continues to dominate fan discussions: Cate Blanchett's unexpected cameo. The Oscar-winning actress made a brief appearance in the season's closing scene as a mysterious American recruiter, spotted playing the traditional Korean game ddakji with a homeless man in a back alley. Her presence was acknowledged by the Front Man (Lee Byung-hun), sparking countless theories about her character's place in the 'Squid Game' universe. At the time of filming, Blanchett revealed she was given almost no context for the role. 'Because it's such a cult series and they were shooting in L.A. of all places, everyone was on a need-to-know basis,' she recalls. She didn't even do a costume fitting; the production asked her to bring her own suit. 'I got a couple of storyboards. I had to [learn to] play the game very quickly. I had to practice and practice. I knew there were four or five setups that they were going to do, and I knew what they needed from every shot, and then I was given the sides. But it was one of the more mysterious jobs.' Though only on screen for a few seconds, Blanchett's cameo caused a stir online, quickly becoming one of the most talked-about moments of the season. Fans praised her for slipping so seamlessly into the dark world of 'Squid Game', and many still speculate that her character could be part of a future spin-off or international expansion of the series. Blanchett has remained open to the idea. 'I am wildly open to anything And in a world that is so beautifully, magically created like that, for sure. They're amazing world-builders, and that series has been eaten alive. I don't think there's a corner of the globe that it hasn't touched in some way,' she said when asked about returning. While Squid Game has always been full of twists, Blanchett's subtle but powerful cameo proved that sometimes, even the quietest moments leave the biggest mark.
