PFF predicts Notre Dame will have a 1st-round NFL draft pick, CB Leonard Moore, in 2027
Why the 2027 NFL Draft is shaping up to be GENERATIONAL👀
✍️ @CFBMaxChadwickhttps://t.co/9oxvtiKUHZ — PFF College (@PFF_College) June 13, 2025
It is still about two years away from the 2027 NFL draft, but that didn't stop Pro Football Focus from looking into the future, and not surprisingly had one Notre Dame player near the top of its board in what they are calling a 'generational draft.'
Cornerback Leonard Moore burst onto the scene his freshman year, earning multiple awards and some outlets naming him a Freshman All-American. The huge first-year has vaulted him into the national spotlight, as PFF has already named him as the top player at his position, as just eight true sophomores have ever been named to that list.
As for the draft, Moore is already viewed as a potential early pick, as Max Chadwick named Moore as one of his top players in what he sees as a class that could be 'historic.' He mentions that the Irish corner during his freshman year was 'the third-most-valuable corner in college football' according to their metrics. Chadwick called Moore a 'smooth athlete … who mirrors receivers at an elite level already.'
There is considerable hype surrounding Moore as he enters year No. 2 in South Bend, and he could be the next Notre Dame corner to leave early and get drafted high into the NFL.

Photos: Mass for Pope Leo XIV at Chicago White Sox's Rate Field
The Archdiocese of Chicago celebrated the historic election of Chicago-born Pope Leo XIV on June 14 at Rate Field, home of the White Sox. The program included music, film, in-person testimonials and prayer. A Catholic Mass will be celebrated afterward. On May 8, Prevost made history as the first American-born pope in the Catholic church's 2,000-year history. The 69-year-old Augustinian missionary was raised in south suburban Dolton and earned his master's in divinity from Chicago Theological Union.

Washington Commanders trade idea nets former No. 4 overall pick to help Jayden Daniels
After Dan Quinn and rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels helped the Washington Commanders become one of the NFL's best teams last season, they knew it was time to go all-in this offseason. We've since seen the Commanders add several big-name talents such as Deebo Samuel and Laremy Tunsil. The Commanders' additions should help upgrade the roster, but what if the Commanders aren't done swinging for the fences? Recently, another highly intriguing player became available, and he fits one of the Commanders' key needs. Advertisement Specifically, Bleacher Report's Kristopher Knox believes the Commanders could be a viable suitor to trade for Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts. Knox's Pitts trade idea sends the former No. 4 overall pick to DC in exchange for a third-round pick in 2026 and 2027. 'Ertz, who will turn 35 in November, isn't a long-term answer for the Commanders. Pitts could be, and even if Sinnott starts playing up to his draft status, having two potent tight ends would be valuable. Offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury could have a lot of fun scheming up mismatches with Pitts, Sinnott, Terry McLaurin and Deebo Samuel in the passing game. Washington might have to pay a bit of a premium to snag Pitts from a potential playoff rival, and it won't have a 2026 second-round pick because of the Laremy Tunsil trade. Washington does, however, have more than $21 million in available cap space.' Bleacher Report on Kyle Pitts trade to Commanders While the Commanders don't have as much draft capital as other teams due to already making aggressive moves this offseason, they may see the value in targeting a player with sky-high potential like Pitts. Still just 24, Pitts broke out onto the scene with a 1,026-yard season as a rookie, but he hasn't been able to replicate that performance since, topping out at 667 yards in 2023. Could Washington unlock another level of production out of the former first-round pick? With Jayden Daniels, anything is possible.
