Prince Harry, Meghan and Netflix extend partnership for streaming programs
Prince Harry and Meghan have extended their partnership with Netflix and their media company, Archewell Productions, with a multiyear, first-look deal, the couple announced Monday. Archewell began collaborating with the streaming giant in 2020 and have produced a handful of documentary content, including the popular 'Harry & Meghan.' The Duchess of Sussex also developed a lifestyle brand, As Ever, in partnership with Netflix. The collaboration has also produced the documentary series' 'Polo,' 'Heart of Invictus' and 'Live to Lead.' 'My husband and I feel inspired by our partners who work closely with us and our Archewell Productions team to create thoughtful content across genres that resonates globally, and celebrates our shared vision,' Meghan said in a statement. The couple and Netflix also announced upcoming collaborations, including a second season of, 'With Love, Meghan,' a lifestyle and cooking show starring the duchess. The show will also receive a special holiday episode in December. The show is Netflix's most-watched culinary show since its March release, according to the company. It ranked low compared to other releases in the first half of this year, with 5.3 million views, according to Netflix's semiannual report. 'Masaka Kids, A Rhythm Within,' a documentary short film that centers on a small orphanage in Uganda's Masaka region, is also set to release this year. Archewell is also in production with Netflix on a feature adaptation of Carley Fortune's novel 'Meet Me at the Lake.' The drama 'follows a decade-spanning love story that begins with a chance encounter and a broken promise,' the statement read. 'Harry and Meghan are influential voices whose stories resonate with audiences everywhere. The response to their work speaks for itself,' Bela Bajaria, Netflix's chief content officer, said in a statement. Their extended deal with Netflix is the latest in the couple's yearslong effort to develop business ventures in the United States. They had also penned a multiyear deal with Spotify in 2020 and produced a podcast, ' Archetypes, ' but cut ties with the company in 2023. The couple have been detangling their lives from the British royal family and are living in California with their two young children.

Will Cate Blanchett Star in a ‘Squid Game' US Spin-Off?
Ever since that shocking Squid Game season 3 ending, fans have been talking about the possibility of a US spin-off series starring Cate Blanchett (and helmed by David Fincher). And though Squid Game creator Hwang Dong-hyuk previously revealed to Variety that Cate's cameo in the series finale was 'not related' to the rumored spin-off, the actress is now weighing in on her future with the franchise. When asked about starring in an English-language spin-off or sequel series, Cate told Variety she is 'wildly open to anything,' adding, 'I mean, I'd love to work with David [Fincher] again. It's been ages. But no, I don't know anything more than you do. I'm not being coy. I really don't.' Way back in October 2024—long before the Squid Game series finale aired—Deadline reported that a brand-new spin-off was being developed for Netflix with David Fincher at the helm of the project. However, little else has been heard about the project since in June 2025, Hwang Dong-hyuk said he hadn't 'heard officially from Netflix about David Fincher creating a Squid Game.' But fret not, because the Squid Game creator is open to the possibly of a spin-off series. As he told Entertainment Weekly, 'I'm not trying to say that I'm going to close the door to spin-offs or sequels altogether because they say never say never.' And from the sound of it, Cate is down as chances are, even if she did know anything about a sequel series, she wouldn't be allowed to share any deets. While speaking about her Squid Game cameo with Variety (which she apparently landed 'out of the blue'), Cate noted how everything she learned about her role 'was on a need-to-know basis.' As she explained, 'I got a couple of storyboards. I had to [learn to] play the game very quickly. I had to practice and practice. I knew there were four or five setups that they were going to do, and I knew what they needed from every shot, and then I was given the sides. But it was one of the more mysterious jobs.'

‘With Love, Meghan' Is Back This Month, and a Holiday Special Is Soon to Follow: Here's What We Know
Aprons at the ready, gang—as Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, is returning with season two of her lifestyle and cooking show, With Love, Meghan, later this month. The exact date is still tbc but what we do know is that it won't be the last we see of the program this year, as a themed special is also in the works for Christmas too. Everything we know about With Love, Meghan season 2: In a new release, Netflix promises that season two of WLM will bring more of what fans enjoyed the first time around: 'Celebrity chefs, talented artists, and beloved friends for hands-on adventures filled with laughter and discovery.' While the show aired to a mixed response, it hit the Top 10 list in a mammoth 24 countries and pulled an impressive 5.3 million views in the first half of 2025. What is the With Love, Meghan holiday special? And as for the holiday special, that's set to be shot in Montecito where Meghan and Prince Harry live (although we imagine not in their home, as the couple have previously explained they like to keep their children out of the spotlight and it would potentially be a bit full-on for Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet to have a gigantic filming crew in their own kitchen!). A statement shared with Cosmopolitan UK by the Sussex's comms team says the December offering will see 'friends and family deck the halls, create holiday feasts, craft heartfelt gifts, and share lots of laughs—with simple how-tos to follow at home". Sounds like Pinterest IRL, if you ask us (which is absolutely ideal)! What else are Prince Harry and Meghan Markle working on with Netflix? Elsewhere and continuing on their Netflix partnership that began in 2020, the Duke and Duchess are gearing up to produce an adaption of the best-selling novel Meet Me at the Lake by Carly Fortune. Expect cute romance galore when that drops (again, no confirmed date at this time though). 'My husband and I feel inspired by our partners who work closely with us and our Archewell Productions team to create thoughtful content across genres that resonates globally, and celebrates our shared vision,' Meghan said, when commenting on the new slate of shows in the works. Also commenting on the news, Bela Bajaria, Netflix's Chief Content Officer, said: 'Harry and Meghan are influential voices whose stories resonate with audiences everywhere. The response to their work speaks for itself—Harry & Meghan gave viewers an intimate look into their lives and quickly became one of our most-watched documentary series. 'More recently, fans have been inspired by With Love, Meghan, with products from the new As ever line consistently selling out in record time. We're excited to continue our partnership with Archewell Productions and to entertain our members together.'
