2.30, Ayr – Class 6 Handicap (6f; Racing TV)
The David O'Meara-trained FLOWSTATE is 0-6 in handicap company, but when fourth in a Class 5 at Doncaster on his latest outing he was one place behind a runner who then won a Class 4 at Ayr.
This pick now drops into a Class 6 for the first time and his maiden victory came on soft ground, so the ease underfoot is in his favour.
4.05, Ayr – Class 5 Handicap (1m; Racing TV)
Another O'Meara charge, FOREST CAPER probably has improvement in him and looks a reasonable bet to make a successful handicap debut.
This Lope De Vega gelding has run to a fair level in three starts in maiden and novice company, and his breeding suggests that getting on slow ground for the first time could help him.
Forest Caper, who like Flowstate will be ridden by Daniel Tudhope, is a half-brother to seven winners, quite a few of them smart types.
Where is Ryan Moore riding on Monday?
Moore had three Group-race winners at the Curragh over the weekend, but has no booked rides today.
And where is William Buick riding today?
Buick is booked for three mounts at Windsor this evening, including Port Of London, a newcomer who goes in a maiden (6.40) for the jockey's employers, Godolphin. It will be interesting to see what this Night Of Thunder colt, trained by John and Thady Gosden, can do.
When is the next big racing festival?
The week-long Galway Festival kicks off in Ireland next Monday (July 28), followed a day later by Glorious Goodwood. Check out the latest Glorious Goodwood free bets and betting offers.
The latter is a five-day fixture and is set to feature the Kingman colt Field Of Gold, possibly the best horse in the world, in the Sussex Stakes on July 30, one of three Group 1s at the meeting.
What does NAP mean?
NAP is a word used in betting circles to describe a prediction that a tipster thinks has a particularly strong chance of winning.
Many horse racing tipsters pick out a 'NAP of the day', which is their favoured selection from all the races across the different meetings.
The term NAP derives from the French card game Napoleon. When players of this game thought they had a particularly strong hand that they would win with, they would shout 'Napoleon'.

Horse racing tips: ‘He runs off a good-looking mark' – Templegate's Thursday NAP runs at Chepstow
TEMPLEGATE'S Thursday picks are below. Back a horse by clicking their odds. APACHE OUTLAW (7.00 Chepstow, nap) Trainer Ado McGuinness went close with this five-year-old at Galway last week and can go one better in this handicap over seven furlongs. The Welsh track has a fair bit in common with Ballybrit as they are both something of a rollercoaster ride with their undulations. He was more than a little unlucky in Ireland last week when he was full of running turning for home but had to wait an eternity for a gap to open. By the time it did the winner had gone just too far clear. But that was still an excellent effort and he comes here off the same mark of just 78. He was winning on the all-weather off 94 at Christmas so looks pretty well treated over a trip that suits. DANGERMAN (7.15 Sandown, nb) He really enjoyed dropping back to this distance for the Gosden's last time and won going away. The fact he stays further is always a positive at Sandown and a 4lb rise in the weights is more than fair. TADREEB (8.20 Sandown, treble) Better known as an all-weather horse but went close in good company at Ascot on his turf return last time out. He finished strongly over the seven-furlong trip so this move up to a mile should pay dividends off a lowly handicap mark. REGALLY BLONDE (5.15 Yarmouth) Completes the Lucky 15. She has barely put a foot wrong this season and the handicapper has been fair with a 1lb rise for her neck second at Nottingham. Coleen Rooney picks up a bottle of vodka as she calls into her village shop after trip to Ireland with husband Wayne and son Kai
Coleen Roone y nipped to her local shop on Wednesday, shortly after returning from a trip to Ireland with son Wayne and eldest son Kai. The mother-of-four, 39, was spotted leaving a village store in leafy Cheshire - where the family own a sprawling new-build mansion - after picking up a bottle of Smirnoff vodka. The brand's distinctive logo was visible through the plastic bag she carried while making her way back to her car. Coleen looked relaxed in a plain white T-shirt and dark blue skinny jeans as she exited the shop with a white carrier bag in hand. Keeping things casual, she slipped on a pair of nude flip-flops and accessorised simply with a wristwatch. Her outing comes after she and her husband Wayne Rooney, 39, were every inch the supportive parents as they watched their son Kai play for Manchester United in the 2025 Super Cup NI. The Rooney's travelled to Coleraine, Northern Ireland, to stand pitchside and watch Kai, 15, play in the youth football tournament, which kicked off last week. The married couple also took their younger sons - Kit, eight, and Cass, six - to watch their older brother in action ahead of Man United's match against Co Tyrone. Ahead of the game, Wayne and Coleen were pictured looking every inch the supportive parents as they smiled for the cameras alongside their younger sons. Wayne, who also shares son Klay, 11, with Coleen, cut a casual figure in an all-black ensemble and flashed a huge smile as he stepped out to show his support for Kai. Meanwhile, Coleen looked stylish in a pink T-shirt and jeans, which she styled with a burgundy jacket. Kai took to the field when Man United played against Co Tyrone at the Riada Stadium at 7.30pm on Wednesday. Earlier in the week, Kai secured a huge achievement as he nabbed a goal in a 3-0 win over West Cork Academy. Wayne himself played in the Super Cup NI before shooting to stardom and shared some words of support for his son. When asked if he gives Kai any tips, Wayne said he simply 'lets him play and watch' and praised his son for handling the added attention because of his surname 'well'. Speaking to Super Cup NI, Wayne shared: 'He just plays, that's what he's done this whole time playing, I think it's very unfair for anyone to expect him to go and do all kinds, he's just playing as a young boy, he's 15, just playing and doing it. 'But of course he gets different attention to his teammates, but he handles that really well.' Wayne played in the Super Cup - formerly the Milk Cup - himself in 2000 for Everton's Under-14 side and described the time as some of his 'greatest memories'. The Super Cup is renowned for showcasing young and upcoming footballing talents. Kai has been showing off his burgeoning football talent all season, and recently took part in a match against Glasgow Rangers in the Super Cup NI. United beat Rangers 2-0 as they continue their trajectory towards the top of Group C of the Premier section. Both goals were scored by Abdoulaye Douka Nkoto. Manchester United have been One of the goals was scored by Kai, who has been making waves at the tournament as one of the younger players to watch for the future.
