Inside Alesha Dixon's last-ditch attempt to save marriage after 'rocky patch'

Daily Mirror28-04-2025

Alesha Dixon reportedly confided to friends last year that she had split from Azuka Ononye, her partner of 12 years. But it's now thought the couple are giving their marriage another go
Alesha Dixon has rekindled her romance with husband Azuka Ononye after their marriage hit a "really rocky patch" last year, according to reports.
Alesha, 46, and Azuka are believed to have started dating in 2007 after meeting on tour and secretly tied the knot ten years later, in 2017. Together they share two daughters, Azura, 11, and Anaya, five.

But at the end of 2024, Alesha reportedly confided to friends that she had split from her partner of 12 years because their relationship had become more like a friendship. She further said that they would remain in the same home for the sake of their children—and it was that close proximity that ultimately helped spark their relationship.

A source told the Sun:"They went through a really rocky patch and decided to call it a day. It had been difficult for a long time and Alesha just couldn't see a way forward. AZ even moved out to a hotel for a while, despite the fact they were co-parenting.
"But there is still a huge amount of feeling between them. They've been together for 12 years and have two beautiful children. So they have decided to give it one last try.
"They both desperately want to be a family again and are going to do all it takes to make it work. But Alesha's friends aren't convinced it will last. Ultimately, none of their problems have been fixed, so it's going to be tough."
Why Britain's Got Talent's Alesha Dixon is still living with husband a year after split
Prior to meeting Azuka - who works as a choreographer and creative director - Alesha was briefly married to So Solid Crew's MC Harvey, but she divorced him following his affair with singer Javine Hylton. She previously spoke about the start of her romance with Azuka during a 2016 appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show.

She confirmed that they started out as friends when Alesha was on the road for her music and Azuka was a dancer. "I was kind of playing hard to get for about a year," the star confessed.
"And then I had the foot operation and I couldn't walk and he was literally sleeping on the floor looking after me every day. I was just looking at him thinking, 'That is for better or for worse isn't it.' I looked a state, he was sleeping on the floor because I was on the couch, I couldn't even get up the stairs. If he can carry me to the toilet then he's a keeper."
Alesha later sweetly admitted she didn't see herself having children until she met her husband. Speaking on their relationship on Giovanna Fletcher's podcast, she shared: "He was the first person that I'd met, that I knew that we could have children together because of our values, our morals, our thinking aligned…
"The thought of having children with someone who could do something toxic or show them something toxic that I saw as a child frightened me more than anything in the world."

Jeremy Clarkson renames his trans pig – and makes hilarious new decision on its future

Scroll down to find out which infamous celebrity Jeremy has likened the pig to RASHER DECISION Jeremy Clarkson renames his trans pig – and makes hilarious new decision on its future TELLY farm favourite Jeremy Clarkson has made the rasher decision not to send his tiny transgender pig to the slaughterhouse. While most of the Sun columnist's swine are dispatched to be turned into bacon, sausages and pork chops, he has decided to save diminutive Richard Ham — named after his ex-Top Gear and Grand Tour co-host Richard Hammond. Instead, he is spared the butcher's knife in a bid to get the next lot of female pigs 'in the mood' — and is likened to late Playboy boss Hugh Hefner. Jeremy says: 'The problem is, if he goes on the lorry, he's killed and all we get in return is chipolata and a pork chop the size of a walnut. 'If he stays here, we've got to feed him for no reason. Advertisement 'And that's not farming. 'But the next lot of sows, we're going to use artificial insemination on them, to make them pregnant. 'But we can't do that until they get in heat and they won't get in heat unless there's man pig nearby. 'So why don't we keep him as the farm's man pig, to get the ladies in the mood? Advertisement 'Good old Richard Ham — you could be Hugh Hefner now!' Last week, viewers saw farm manager Kaleb Cooper tell Jeremy his bull, which cost £5,500, might be gay as he showed no interest in breeding with the cows. I don't want folk going veggie due to farming crisis, rages Jeremy Clarkson - so my pub will serve pig uterus & squirrel Then Kaleb informed him Richard Ham was showing signs he might be trans after being bonked by another boar. But Kaleb is still bewildered by Jeremy's decision to keep the little porker, saying: 'What is this farm coming to?' Having sung Robbie Williams hit Angel and receiving major praise from the judges, there was shock when it was revealed that Stacey had finished in last place on the final night. Stacey was ranked 11th and as such below all of her fellow finalists. Since then, fans have accused the singer of 'trying to rig votes' by broadcasting live on TikTok during the final - something Stacey has denied. Hitting back at the negativity she has faced since her performance, Stacey wrote online: "Some of the comments I am getting are hilarious. 'You came last hahaha' nope. "I didn't come last I came 11th out of THOUSANDS and I am incredible proud of that." She then added: "'You tried rigging the votes by coming on tiktok live' nope, I have been on tiktok for 5 years now and I have been [lucky to] have a large platform throughout this time. "'You looked like a drag queen,' thank you, Drag queens are stunning." Stacey then appeared to confirm she was bereft by "personal stuff" which could have affected the end result of her performance. Hitting back at critics of her vocals, she said: "'You Sounded horrible you can't sing' that's your personal opinion plus you try and sing live on TV in front of millions with personal stuff going on.' Britain's Got Talent embroiled in yet another FIX row as fans are left furious over semi-final result "You can't sing,' the Simon Cowell gave me two standing ovations. "It's sad that people are so miserable that they have to try and bully someone they don't know on the internet for chasing their dreams and doing something they love." She then closed her message to say: "Shame on you." Magician Harry Moulding became the second ever magic act to win the contest. He finished in first place and received the £250,000 payout as well as a spot on the bill at the Royal Variety Performance.
