A BRADFORD singer has unveiled her third studio album at London's iconic 100 Club.
Chantel McGregor, originally from Wyke, launched her new album 'The Healing' on the same stage that once saw The Who, Oasis, and Blur perform.
Fans had been waiting for the latest part of Chantel's musical journey since her last live album in 2019.
Ready with her guitar and distinctive vocals, Chantel took to the stage with Colin Sutton on bass, Thom Gardner on drums and keyboardist Jamie Brooks.
The album launch came after being named as the UK Blues Awards Emerging band winner for 2025 Birmingham's Blue Nation.
The sounds of wild applause welcomed Chantel and her band to the stage.
Crowds heard her new album live for the first time along with some of her earlier well-known songs.
It marked the first night of her album tour.

"Who knew?" campaign casts Walmart in fresh light

Man-of-the-moment Walton Goggins is stepping up as Walmart's new hype man in fresh ads featuring an earworm track from The Who. The company revealed the image campaign featuring the on-trend actor at its annual associates pep rally in Fayetteville on Friday. "The Tonight Show" host Jimmy Fallon emceed the event. The big picture: The world's largest retailer, long known as a low-price leader, now also wants to be known for its near-limitless selection and ability to deliver items — fast. Goggins — known most recently for " The White Lotus," " The Righteous Gemstones" and " Fallout" — made an appearance at the campaign reveal. "[I may] change my last name to Walton, so I'll be the only Walton Walton here," he joked. State of play: Goggins is the nonchalant hero-in-the-know throughout one ad showing off some of the half a billion products available through the retail giant. A home sauna? Yes. Bear spray? You bet. Dancing shoes? Of course. The Who's 1978 rock anthem " Who Are You" plays prominently in the background, and supporting actors declare, "Who knew?" "Who-knew, who-knew," one sings. Spanish-language ads will feature comedic actress Stephanie Beatriz. What they're saying: "The role of this campaign is to really change perceptions that people have of the Walmart they think they know … to a [multichannel] retailer that has a broad assortment and can deliver to you as fast as an hour," chief marketing officer William White told Axios. The "Who knew?" concept will reach into the world of Reddit with "approved hacks" from Redditors and will get time on TikTok TopView, White said. Paris Hilton and Russell Westbrook teased the campaign earlier this week with posts featuring the company's yellow shopping bag imprinted with "I knew." Stunning stat: Through its brick-and-mortar stores, online shopping, and marketplace where third parties sell goods to Walmart customers, the company can sell more than half a billion items. The rollout follows news this week that the retailer will be expanding its drone delivery operations in five Southern cities.

Father's Day Tech-Tastic Wish List

The Buff LED Face Mask Buff I'm going to be honest… none of what I write about below is anywhere close to what I'll actually get on Father's Day. My kids' school put on a Father's Day 'store' and my wife sends them in with $10 each, which usually (always) results in me getting socks and a coffee mug to unwrap on the big day. But this isn't a reality list. It's a wish list. The clue is in the name. However, even with that disclaimer thrown in, I still have to set a few boundaries. I couldn't just include a super yacht, a sports car or (the ultimate dream) Oasis reunion tickets. So this is a 'realistic' wish list. Sort of. Good luck to all the Dads out there. SHARP OSAKA DR-P520(GY) Portable Digital Radi Sharp Okay, this is a proper 'Dad' inclusion. Following the big power cut in Spain earlier this year, that wiped out not only electricity but the mobile networks too, one of the most common things that people said they found useful during the chaos was a battery-powered FM radio. Not only is this Sharp radio that, but it also has DAB+ smarts too, along with Bluetooth streaming and 10 hours of battery life; which you can charge with the same sort of power pack you'd use to charge your phone in such an emergency. It's available direct from Sharp, costing $60 Stateside, £60 in the UK. The Bodum Bistro smart coffee maker Bodum With its 24-hour programmable timer, this Bodum clever coffee machine will get your morning brew set to go exactly when you need it… and will keep your coffee warm for 25 minutes after brewing while you inevitably have to sort out some sort of breakfast emergency with the kids. It's also top-end filter coffee on offer, as it features a unique shower head design that evenly saturates your coffee grounds, meaning a more balanced extraction. The good news is you can also ditch those wasteful paper filters; this eco-conscious design features a fine-mesh, stainless steel filter. You can buy one now, direct from Bodum, for $110 / £139. Beats Powerbeats 2 Pro Apple Given that the latest Powerbeats are positioned as the ultimate workout partner, with real-time insights into your exercise performance and built-in heart rate monitoring, I should say I want them to help me get fitter. But they also feature Active Noise Cancelling, Adaptive EQ and Personalised Spatial Audio… so they'll be ideal for drowning out whatever (terrible) music the kids insist on playing on my home speakers. With a whopping 45 hours of battery life thanks to their smaller, wireless charging case, re-engineered earhooks, and powered by the Apple H2 chip, the Powerbeats Pro 2 build on the original's success and still look super cool; so I can keep up the pretence that I'm still young and trendy. The Beats Powerbeats Pro 2 are $250 / £250. AirFly Pro 2 Twelve South And I want those Powerbeats to team up with this nifty gadget, which bridges the gap between your Bluetooth headphones and those pesky wired-only systems on planes or gym equipment. You simply have to plug the AirFly Pro 2 into any 3.5mm headphone jack, pair your wireless buds, and boom – instant audio freedom. The AirFly Pro 2 lets two sets of headphones connect at once, have over 25 hours of battery life, and have support for high-quality audio codecs. They cost $60 in the US, £61 in Blighty. Buff LED Face Mask Buff A bit of a left-field one this, but I've been secretly jealous of my wife's SharkNinja CryoGlow mask for a while now (and she doesn't share)… but now we have an LED mask that's targeted at men specifically, and promises to help smooth fine lines, soften wrinkles, and slow visible signs of ageing. Buff's LED Face Mask harnesses different light wavelengths to address a variety of skincare concerns. Blue light works to combat breakouts, red light encourages collagen production to improve skin texture, near-infrared light helps soothe inflammation, and yellow light supports a brighter, more even complexion. Given that I look like an extra from The Last of Us most mornings, I think I'll need the full spectrum. It's £180 direct from Buff.

Oasis fans invited to send personal stories for Oasis Live '25 Tour film

Oasis fans are being invited to share their stories about "a particular song" that holds "deep meaning" to them for the Oasis Live '25 Tour film. Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight is producing the reuniting Britpop legends' documentary, with renowned filmmakers Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace on board to direct - the duo behind LCD Soundsystem's concert film Shut Up And Play The Hits. Magna Studios - whose credits include Beastie Boys Story, Gangs Of London, 20000 Days On Earth, and Lewis Capaldi: How I'm Feeling Now - are heading up the production and are asking fans to send in their special memories associated with the Live Forever hitmakers' songs for potential inclusion in the film. A post on the website read: "Now, in the year of Oasis' sell out reunion tour, Magna Studios and Steven Knight (Peaky Blinders, A Thousand Blows) - in association with Oasis - are making a film exploring how this band's music has become so important to so many. We are asking people all over the world if there is a particular Oasis song that has deep meaning for you. A song that tells the story of a life changing moment, a love, a loss, a heartbreak, or a break for freedom. 'Whatever the Oasis song, whatever the story – tell us…' Oasis' UK and Ireland shows - their first in 16 years - will kick off in Cardiff on July 4 and see them joined by special guests Richard Ashcroft and Cast. The Supersonic band will also play USA, Canada, Mexico, South Korea, Japan, Australia, Argentina, Chile and Brazil. Meanwhile, frontman Liam Gallagher recently dismissed fan concerns over his vocal health ahead of the long-awaited reunion tour. The 52-year-old frontman - who has Hashimoto's disease, which can cause a hoarse voice - sparked a frenzy online after posting about taking throat lozenges, sour candies and cough syrup, prompting speculation from fans that his voice might not hold up during his and older brother Noel's upcoming stadium comeback shows this summer. One fan messaged him on X after his admission: '@liamgallagher If you need that many throat stuff does that mean anytime your voice can still go? We don't want cancellations.' Liam replied: 'Shut up you melt.' Another user asked the singer: '@liamgallagher Did you eat all your sour throat candies yesterday?' – to which Liam responded: '@adele_liam I did 2 pacs.' The Oasis reunion marks the first time the band have performed together since 2009, when they split after a backstage altercation between the siblings at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris. Their return to the stage has been one of the most anticipated music events of the decade. Rehearsals kicked off in London, with Liam joining his bandmates — including his brother Noel, 58 — for rehearsals this week.
