She the People OTT Release Date: Get ready for some laughs and real-life drama with Tyler Perry's upcoming comedy series, She the People. What's the show about?
She the People follows Antoinette Dunkerson, played by Terri J. Vaughn, a woman who wins the election for Lieutenant Governor. But once in office, she realises the job is tougher than she thought, especially dealing with a sexist and dismissive governor. At the same time, she has to manage her family's new public life. It's a mix of political challenges and family antics, all wrapped up in a comedic package.​

The series features a talented cast alongside Terri (Daddy's Little Girls), including Jo Marie Payton (Meet the Browns), Jade Novah (That's My Jam), Drew Olivia Tillman (This Is Us), Tré Boyd (House of Payne), and Dyon Brooks (A Naughty Christmess Story) among others. Tyler Perry is the creator, writer, director, and producer of She the People. He co-created the series with Niya Palmer.
The executive producers include Perry, Palmer, Keisha Lance Bottoms (former Atlanta mayor and advisor to President Biden), and Terri J. Vaughn herself. Angi Bones and Tony L. Strickland also serve as producers for Tyler Perry Studios.
For the unversed, Tyler Perry's latest movie, The Six Triple Eight, was a big hit on Netflix. It got more views in its first four weeks than any of his other films.
