The campaign will run until the end of December, with the aim of recycling over 100,000 devices over the six months
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, July, 2025 – ROSHN Group, Saudi Arabia's leading multi-asset real estate developer and a Public Investment Fund (PIF) company, is partnering with the Communications, Space & Technology Commission (CST) for the nationwide CSR initiative, Recycle Your Device . This impactful campaign, which will run until December, aims to raise national awareness around sustainability and a circular economy as outlined by Vision 2030 by encouraging the responsible recycling of electronic devices. Any donated device will be refurbished for donation and reuse.
ROSHN Group will be supporting the campaign nationwide under its 'YUHYEEK' CSR Program by promoting the initiative through a variety of activities both in its communities and destinations, through communication, and activations. The aim will be to exceed the number of devices recycled during the first national electronic devices recycling campaign, which ran between 2022 and 2023; over 100,000 devices with a market value of SAR 30 million were recycled, 240 tons of electronic materials were refurbished.
As a Success Partner, ROSHN Group will play a key role in supporting and amplifying this national effort. Recycle Your Device underscores a shared vision of creating a more sustainable future through collective action and responsible technology use.

CAIRO, July 28 (MENA) – Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Expatriates Minister Badr Abdelatty met on Monday with Haoliang Xu, Acting Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), on the sidelines of the International High-Level Conference on a Peaceful Settlement of the Palestinian Question and Implementation of the Two-State Solution. Abdelatty expressed appreciation for the vital role UNDP plays in supporting Egypt's development efforts. He commended the programme's constructive contributions to building national capacities and advancing Egypt's progress toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. He noted that UNDP's support is a key pillar of Egypt's efforts to implement its Vision 2030 and to navigate growing economic challenges. The minister reaffirmed Egypt's commitment to further strengthening cooperation with the programme across all areas of shared interest, whether bilaterally or within multilateral partnerships, to support development and regional stability. The two officials also discussed the situation in Gaza. Abdelatty shed light on Egypt's intensive efforts to secure a ceasefire and facilitate the unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid to meet the urgent needs of the Palestinian population. He reiterated Egypt's firm rejection of any attempts to forcibly displace Palestinians from their homeland. The minister also pointed to continued coordination between Egypt, Qatar and the United States in efforts to reach an agreement that would end the worsening humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip. In a related context, the top diplomat reviewed preparations for an international conference focused on Gaza's early recovery and reconstruction. He underscored the need to rally regional and international support to rebuild the territory's infrastructure and highlighted key elements of the Arab-Islamic plan for Gaza. He stressed the importance of establishing a clear political horizon to address the root causes of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and secure the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, including their right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent state. Saudi Arabia launches Skills Week to align training with job market needs, offering 3 million training slots by 2028 and mapping 8,500 skills across 12 sectors. The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has launched a week-long national campaign, 'Skills Week,' from July 13th to 19th, to equip young people with the tools needed to thrive in a rapidly changing labour market. Timed with World Youth Skills Day, the initiative promotes a 'Skills First' approach tied closely to Vision 2030 reforms. Under the Waad Training Initiative, authorities aim to deliver three million training slots by 2028 in collaboration with over 65 public and private sector partners. The Kingdom has also introduced a new Sector Skills Framework mapping more than 8,500 skills across 12 key industries. The campaign is supported by a World Bank-backed survey of 3,000 companies to identify pressing skill gaps. Officials have also launched a national skills taxonomy and volunteer mentorship platforms to reinforce lifelong learning. NBE signs $50m agreement with Arab Fund to boost MSME financing
The National Bank of Egypt (NBE) has signed a $50m financing agreement with the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development, marking the Fund's first partnership with Egypt's private sector. The agreement aims to support micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and enhance the NBE's ability to finance entrepreneurs and business owners, with a particular focus on fostering sustainable economic growth, job creation, and financial inclusion—especially in underserved areas. The agreement was signed by Mohamed El-Etreby, CEO of the National Bank of Egypt, and Bader Al-Saad, Director General and Chairperson of the Arab Fund. The financing—equivalent to approximately EGP 2.5bn—comes alongside an additional funding package of up to $400m arranged by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), reflecting the international community's confidence in the National Bank of Egypt's developmental role. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation, stated that from 2020 to mid-2025, the ministry has successfully secured over $15.6bn in concessional development finance for Egypt's private sector, through partnerships with regional and international financial institutions. This, she explained, reflects a clear national vision to empower the private sector as a cornerstone of sustainable development by broadening access to concessional finance and deepening cooperation with development finance institutions. She added that the new partnership with the Arab Fund signals a strategic move to channel greater development financing towards the private sector, in support of national priorities including job creation and women's economic empowerment. El-Etreby said the partnership marks a strategic milestone in the bank's efforts to support the Egyptian economy, bolstering the NBE's capacity to finance MSMEs and empower entrepreneurs in line with the Central Bank of Egypt's objectives and Egypt's Vision 2030 for sustainable development. He noted that the bank looks forward to expanding cooperation with Arab and international financial institutions to promote inclusive and sustainable development. The new funds will be channelled into projects across both urban and rural areas through the bank's nationwide network of nearly 700 branches and supported by a diverse package of programmes aimed at strengthening high value-added productive sectors that advance economic diversification. Bader Al-Saad highlighted that the agreement represents a new direction in the Arab Fund's strategy, marking an institutional pivot towards private sector financing after decades of focusing solely on the public sector. This shift, he explained, is designed to maximise development impact and deepen partnerships with local institutions capable of effectively deploying funds towards clear developmental objectives. He emphasised that the private sector is a critical engine of economic growth and job creation, particularly in large and promising economies such as Egypt's. This agreement with the National Bank of Egypt—one of the country's most trusted and widely represented banking institutions—underscores the Arab Fund's commitment to inclusive growth, women's empowerment, and expanding access to finance for small businesses.
