Culver City Digital Asset Management Platform Stackup Raises $4.2 Million

Stackup, a Culver City-based digital asset management platform designed to streamline crypto operations for crypto businesses, raised a $4.2-million Seed funding round led by 1kx, with participation from Y Combinator, Goodwater Capital, Soma Capital, Amino Capital and Digital Currency Group. The investment will accelerate the development of the Stackup platform, allowing the team to continue developing solutions that simplify crypto operations for businesses. The company was founded in 2021.
Coinciding with the influx of new capital, it launched a new direct banking integration feature that directly addresses the fragmentation between traditional and crypto operations. Businesses can now connect their bank accounts to their Stackup wallet, enabling seamless, non-custodial ACH transfers between their bank and wallet within their existing payment workflows.
'Our mission at Stackup is to provide businesses with the tools they need to manage their digital assets with the same level of efficiency and control they expect from traditional financial systems,' said John Rising, chief executive and co-founder of Stackup, in a statement.
Additionally, Stackup has expanded its support blockchains to include Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, Avalanche, and BSC.

Berkshire Hathaway hikes Sirius XM stake to 37% after a sell-off on weak earnings

Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway once again scooped up shares of Sirius XM , hiking its stake in satellite radio company to about 37% of shares outstanding, after a sell-off on disappointing earnings. The Omaha-based conglomerate bought 5 million shares of Sirius XM via separate transactions on Thursday, Friday and Monday, according to a regulatory filing released Monday evening. Berkshire now owns 124.8 million shares, worth about $2.6 billion. Berkshire first invested in Sirius XM after billionaire John Malone's Liberty Media completed its deal in 2024 to combine its tracking stocks with the rest of the audio entertainment company. It was part of Malone's reshuffling of his sprawling media empire that also included a split-off of the Atlanta Braves baseball team into a separate, publicly traded company — which Berkshire also owns shares in. SIRI YTD mountain Sirius XM year to date The 94-year-old Buffett has never mentioned the investment publicly, and it's unclear if he's behind it or if it's the work of the billionaire's investing lieutenants — either Ted Weschler or Todd Combs. The latest purchase came after Siri's second-quarter earnings report on Thursday. The stock dropped nearly 8% that day after the company's quarterly profit declined more than expected. Siri also warned about continuous weakness in the advertising market amid the economic uncertainty. "2025 continues to be a transition year, though we believe management continues to execute well, and we don't see a meaningful shift in fundamentals," Evercore ISI analysts said in a note to clients Friday. Shares of Siri are down 4% this year after a 58% loss in 2024.

Here's When You'll Know If A Bitcoin, Ethereum Rally In Q4 Is Coming

Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) and Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH) could see a strong end to the year, according to fresh technical analysis by a prominent market observer. What Happened: Pseudonymous analyst Virtual Bacon stated that a Q4 rally hinges on whether August's uncertainty clears by September. He highlights Bitcoin dominance as a critical factor for altcoin strength, which could drop going into Q4. Bacon warned that even a slight rise in Bitcoin dominance could hurt low-cap altcoins, while larger caps like ETH or Binance Coin (CRYPTO: BNB) remain resilient. Bitcoin: Bull market support sits at $91,500. Bacon expects possible weakness in August, targeting the 20-week SMA near $103,000 — aligning with weekly candle closes from December 2024. "This is a buying opportunity, not a bearish signal," he added. Ethereum: Support lies at the 50-week SMA near $2,700. The ETH/BTC pair is crucial — Ethereum must avoid underperforming BTC to preserve its uptrend. "We don't want Ethereum to drop faster than Bitcoin," the analyst noted. Bacon prefers large-cap altcoins over speculative plays. He specifically pointed to BNB as undervalued, citing regulatory clarity and strategic partnerships like Binance x World Liberty as long-term positives. "BNB is still massively undervalued compared to Bitcoin," he said. He projects a 40–60% move in Bitcoin once consolidation resolves, targeting $140,000 to $150,000 by year-end. Also Read: What's Next: Bacon expects August market uncertainty to resolve by September as Trump's tariff implementation and improved Fed rate cut odds create short-term volatility before a Q4 rally.
