Pirates player to Chiefs: Deal details revealed

This past weekend, Orlando Pirates confirmed that they were bidding farewell to Paseka Mako, and before the dust had even settled on this news, strong links to Kaizer Chiefs emerged. Rumours have suggested that the Buccaneers were keen to extend Mako's stay at the club after his contract was set to expire in June this year, but instead it appears that he is soon set to be unveiled as a new Kaizer Chiefs player. According to , the 31-year-old has in fact signed a three-year deal with Kaizer Chiefs, having signed a pre-contract with Amakhosi following the Nedbank Cup final in Durban in May. This news comes after another interesting story emerged recently to also link right back Thabiso Monyane with a move from Pirates to Chiefs. It's reported that Monyane has 'offered to Amakhosi as a free agent', but it remains to be seen if the Glamour Boys now would view this as an appealing option. Meanwhile, on social media, agent Mike Makaab has confirmed that his client Sipho Mbule will also be offered to Chiefs after his contract with Mamelodi Sundowns concludes. 'Let me set the record straight. Sipho Mbule has been offered to Kaizer Chiefs,' the agent admitted on X. 'It is up to the club to make the decision and we need to respect that decision. 'Kaizer Chiefs is a professional football club and their decisions will be based on what they think is best for the club. I am not trying to influence anything,' he added. 'Realistically, no matter what I say, I will never please everyone. My job is to do the best for my clients while respecting the football clubs I deal with.'
