Pirates player to Chiefs: Deal details revealed

This past weekend, Orlando Pirates confirmed that they were bidding farewell to Paseka Mako, and before the dust had even settled on this news, strong links to Kaizer Chiefs emerged.
Rumours have suggested that the Buccaneers were keen to extend Mako's stay at the club after his contract was set to expire in June this year, but instead it appears that he is soon set to be unveiled as a new Kaizer Chiefs player.
According to KickOff.com , the 31-year-old has in fact signed a three-year deal with Kaizer Chiefs, having signed a pre-contract with Amakhosi following the Nedbank Cup final in Durban in May.
This news comes after another interesting story emerged recently to also link right back Thabiso Monyane with a move from Pirates to Chiefs.
It's reported that Monyane has 'offered to Amakhosi as a free agent', but it remains to be seen if the Glamour Boys now would view this as an appealing option.
Meanwhile, on social media, agent Mike Makaab has confirmed that his client Sipho Mbule will also be offered to Chiefs after his contract with Mamelodi Sundowns concludes.
'Let me set the record straight. Sipho Mbule has been offered to Kaizer Chiefs,' the agent admitted on X.
'It is up to the club to make the decision and we need to respect that decision. 'Kaizer Chiefs is a professional football club and their decisions will be based on what they think is best for the club. I am not trying to influence anything,' he added.
'Realistically, no matter what I say, I will never please everyone. My job is to do the best for my clients while respecting the football clubs I deal with.'

Kaizer Chiefs transfer news: Mbule, Salum, Mako, Saleng

After another tough season, Kaizer Chiefs will look to rebuild and sign more players under Tunisian coach Nasreddine Nabi. The team finished ninth in the Betway Premiership but managed to win the Nedbank Cup which was their first silverware in a decade. The club has been linked with a number of players including Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Sipho Mbule. The 27-year-old is a free agent after his contract was not extended by Masandawana. Mbule joined The Brazilians in 2022 from SuperSport United but failed to make his impact in the three years at the club. This past season, he was sent on loan to Sekhukhune United but disciplinary issues clouded his time at Babina Noko, leading to his contract being terminated prematurely. Mbule's agent Mika Makaab confirmed that the star was offered to Kaizer Chiefs 'Let me set the record straight. Sipho Mbule has been offered to Kaizer Chiefs. It is up to the club to make the decision, and we need to respect that decision,' he said. With Nabi looking to bolster his squad, the Tunisian coach has reportedly travelled to Egypt and Tanzania to look for quality players. One player that has been on his radar is Azam FC superstar Feisal Salum. The 27-year-old creative midfielder impressed for his country Tanzania when they played against Bafana Bafana last year. Another local player linked with Kaizer Chiefs is Paseko Mako. The defender was recently released by Orlando Pirates. The 27-year-old spent seven years with the Buccaneers earning over 100 appearances. Another Pirates star set to leave is Monnapule Saleng. The talented winger has not kicked a ball for the club since Decemeber 2024. Sipho Mbule Offered to Kaizer Chiefs: Agent Makaab Clarifies Transfer Details "Let me set the record straight. Sipho Mbule has been offered to Kaizer Chiefs," Makaab said on X. "It is up to the club to make the decision and we need to respect that decision.' Of course, Makaab would like a transfer to a big club for his player but he insisted he was remaining objective by sharing the information. "Kaizer Chiefs is a professional football club and their decisions will be based on what they think is best for the club. I am not trying to influence anything. 'Realistically, no matter what I say, I will never please everyone. My job is to do the best for my clients while respecting the football clubs I deal with.' Last week, Chiefs announced the departure of Chivaviro, who has left the club with immediate effect. The forward joined Chiefs in June 2023, and the club chose not to extend his two-year contract. In total, Chivaviro has made 45 appearances for Chiefs while scoring nine goals. Chivaviro did not reach his full potential with Chiefs, as he struggled with injury during the 2023/2024 season. Chiefs completed another deflating season in the Betway Premiership as they ended ninth, their second league campaign in a row in which they finished outside the top eight. @Michael_Sherman IOL Sport
