Fox Valley-based non-profit looks to raise awareness & combat trafficking ahead of NFL Draft

OSHKOSH, Wis. (WFRV) – As excitement builds for the 2025 NFL Draft in Green Bay, a local nonprofit is urging the community to remember the dangers that large-scale events could bring.
Damascus Road, an anti-human trafficking organization based in the Fox Valley, launched a region-wide outreach effort Friday called 'Blitz the Draft,' a campaign aimed at raising awareness and preventing trafficking ahead of the event.

Volunteers gathered in Oshkosh at Damascus Road's office for training before fanning out to gas stations and hotels across the Fox Valley, from Oshkosh up to Kaukauna.
Armed with missing children posters, trafficking awareness cards, and hotline numbers, they spoke with staff at businesses and left materials in high-traffic areas.
'Today we are blitzing the Fox Valley before the draft with information about missing kids and human trafficking awareness,' said Terra Koslowski, Education and Engagement Director at Damascus Road. 'Anytime there is an event that brings a large number of people to an area, there's always a potential for increased crime—and human trafficking is one of those risks.'
The goal is simple: make more people aware of what trafficking looks like, and how they can help stop it.
'We're hoping businesses will put up our posters and maybe even give us some tips if they've seen any of the kids we're looking for,' Koslowski added. 'If a child who's been trafficked ends up in this area, someone might recognize them.'
Among the volunteers was Dennis Tegrootenhuis of Winneconne, who says the issue is personal for him.
'I just look at the most vulnerable in our society,' he said. 'We have a responsibility as a community to keep people safe. This kind of outreach is crucial—it opens people's eyes.'
Tegrootenhuis said he's become more alert to the signs of trafficking, especially while traveling.
'Every truck stop I stop at, I just look for something that doesn't belong,' he said. 'You see a guy walking into a hotel with a young girl who's not smiling, not bubbly—say something.'

Since 2017, Damascus Road has helped more than 700 survivors of human trafficking or commercial sexual exploitation through jail outreach, victim services, and community education.
The organization encourages anyone who suspects human trafficking to report it to the National Human Trafficking Hotline at 1-888-373-7888.

Ravens lineman's estranged wife denies adultery claims, calls allegations 'bad faith' in divorce battle

Ben Cleveland's estranged wife is firing back at adultery allegations made by the NFL lineman. Cleveland and his estranged wife, Kaityln Terrell Cleveland, are involved in a divorce, which was first filed in February. The Baltimore Ravens lineman made adultery claims against his wife, and she called them "knowingly false." Kaitlyn Cleveland "vehemently" denied the claims in a court filing on Thursday, which Fox News Digital obtained. Kaitlyn Cleveland goes on to say the claims were made "in bad faith." She hinted that the Baltimore Ravens lineman's claims were false in March, when she posted Kelsea Ballerini lyrics on her Instagram Stories that suggested she had much to say about the divorce but couldn't speak on it. A screenshot by TMZ showed one lyric from Ballerini's song titled "Interlude" that read, "The rumors goin' 'round, but the truth is kindas nuanced. I wanna set it straight, but my lawyer says I shouldn't." In her answer and counterclaim, Kaitlyn Cleveland also requested a judge equitably split their assets while granting her alimony if they are unable to reach an agreement. Ben and Kaitlyn Cleveland have been separated since December 2024 despite the divorce filing coming in February. The date of separation was noted in the first court filing. Cleveland was a third-round pick by the Ravens in 2021, and he re-signed with the team this offseason to remain a fixture on the offensive line. He could see a larger role in 2025 after being used sparingly over his first four seasons. Cleveland has seven starts under his belt in 54 games since joining the team, all of which coming at offensive guard. Former Cowboys CB facing charges after fatal crash in Dallas

The post Former Cowboys CB facing charges after fatal crash in Dallas appeared first on ClutchPoints. The Dallas Cowboys are used to controversies surrounding their players, both on and off the field. Unfortunately, one ex-Cowboys player has gotten himself into trouble with the law once again. Former Cowboys cornerback Kelvin Joseph is facing charges for his involvement in a fatal crash, per the Associated Press. The accident occurred on a Dallas-area freeway and resulted in the death of one female motorcyclist. It was first reported by The Dallas Morning News on Saturday. According to police in the Dallas suburb of Richardson, Joseph called Plano police to report his involvement in the crash, which occurred in the early hours on Saturday morning. Joseph was reportedly arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and collision involving personal injury or death. The second charge is much more serious as it is a second-degree felony. Police released the name of the victim, Cody Morris of Plano, who was killed in the crash. This is not the first time that Joseph has been in trouble with the law. Joseph had another incident with police during the 2022 NFL offseason. He was the passenger in an SUV that was involved with a shooting that took place in Dallas. One victim from the attack was shot in the head during the incident. Police concluded that Joseph was not the shooter and he faced no repercussions from the NFL. It is not immediately clear that Joseph has legal representation following his arrest on Saturday. Joseph played nine games for the DC Defenders in the UFL during the 2025 season this spring. The UFL said in a statement that they are aware of Joseph's arrest but declined to comment further on the matter. The Cowboys selected Joseph in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft. Joseph played two seasons in Dallas before he was traded to Miami. He also had brief stints in Seattle and Indianapolis before leaving the NFL.
