Time internet seems to have time-travelled. It's 2016 for it again! A bizarre trend that took over the online world nine years ago is back in discussion. But why? It all began on Monday morning after a shocking twist in Meghalaya murder case came to light. Police revealed that 24-year-old Sonam Raghuvanshi had murdered her 29-year-old husband, Raja Raghuvanshi, during their honeymoon in the northeastern state.

An X (formerly Twitter) user, @ayyo_whyyy, wrote that it was prophesied long ago that Sonam will be unfaithful, whether it's Raghuvanshi or Gupta. 'sonam ka to boht pehle bata rakha tha bhai..wo to bewafa hi thi..chahe raghuvanshi ho chahe gupta (sic)," the post read.
A discussion also began on 'mass hysteria around eloping and getting married to one's true love".

Police registered a case at the Vishrambag police station and uploaded the detailed FIR on their website. Dowry death: Cancer-hit sr on wheelchair gets 7 yrs' jail

Mumbai: Refusing to show leniency to a 73-year-old wheelchair-bound woman suffering from cancer, a Mumbai sessions court has convicted and sentenced her to 7 years in jail for the 2014 suicide of her daughter-in-law following cruelty and harassment for dowry. Two sons of the woman, Ashiyakhatun Khan, including the 28-year-old victim's husband, were sentenced to 10 years RI each. The trio was found guilty under IPC section 304-B, which can be invoked when a woman dies within seven years of marriage and had been harassed for dowry. The judge noted that the victim, Gulshan Aara, had died within three years of her marriage to Aziz Khan and the cruelty, humiliation and economic exploitation she had suffered at her husband's house had been duly proved. While Ashiyakhatun Khan's two sons, Aftab Khan, a cloth merchant, and Aziz Khan, who works for a private firm, were also awarded jail terms, her doctor son Ejaz Khan was acquitted for lack of evidence. The case against her husband, Maqsood Khan, was abated due to his death during trial. "The deceased's family had already complied in part with the dowry demand, and, yet, she was driven to end her life due to relentless pressure. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch CFD với công nghệ và tốc độ tốt hơn IC Markets Tìm hiểu thêm Undo There are no mitigating circumstances warranting a reduction of sentence," Judge S E Bangar said. The trio had been out on bail. Hours before her death, Gulshan Aara had called her mother at 11.30pm on Aug 2, 2014, and cried. She said her in-laws had threatened to throw her out of their home. Her mother promised to pick her up the next morning. Around 2.10am, the victim's family received a call about her death at her matrimonial home in Govandi. After the judgment was pronounced, the judge directed the superintendent of Mumbai Central Prison, Byculla, to take Ashiyakhatun into custody to serve her sentence but also directed that she be admitted to the Prisoners Ward at J J Hospital as she was unwell. Ejaz had first informed police that the victim had hanged herself. Subsequently, an FIR was registered at Shivaji Nagar police station based on a complaint by the victim's brother, Fariduddin Siddiqui. The harassment was reportedly over "insufficient" dowry and a further demand of Rs 4 lakh for a house, despite the victim's family arranging Rs 1.7 lakh by mortgaging jewellery and transferring Rs 50,000. The judge noted Ashiyakhatun was unable to respond and make submissions on the point of sentence. Her lawyer urged the court to let her off with a fine. The maximum sentence in such cases is life imprisonment and maximum seven years.

Fresh FIR against Nikant Jain for Rs 4 crore bank fraud

1 2 3 Lucknow: Hazratganj police on Tuesday lodged a fresh FIR against Nikant Jain, the alleged kingpin in the Rs 8,000-crore solar commission scam. This is the sixth FIR against Jain, who is currently lodged in Lucknow district jail. Three FIRs were lodged starting March 20 from his arrest in Gomtinagar, then in Wazirgaj on May 26, and then in Hazratganj on June 10. The other FIRs are one each in Meerut, Etah, and one more in Wazirganj lodged in 2019. This new case is linked to a massive financial fraud involving forged property valuations and criminal conspiracy to defraud Indian Bank of Rs 4 crore in 2017–2018. The new FIR was registered on the complaint of Ashish Jindal, branch manager of Indian Bank's Stressed Asset Management Branch, Lucknow. As per the FIR, Jain, along with his co-accused — Sukant Jain and Vaishali Jain —fraudulently obtained a loan of Rs 4 crore in the name of their registered company, M/s SSJ Agrotech Pvt Ltd. The loan was taken against two properties mortgaged by the company. However, later, the company sought permission from the bank to substitute the first property with a third property. This substitution was approved by the bank. Things took a turn in 2018 when the account turned into a Non-Performing Asset (NPA). by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like SNS에서 화제인 그 팔찌, 예쁜데 의미까지... 굿네이버스 더 알아보기 Undo During SARFAESI proceedings, a fresh valuation of the substituted property revealed that its actual market value was significantly lower than earlier presented. The inquiry, led by an internal committee, concluded that M/s SSJ Agrotech grossly inflated the value of the mortgaged properties. The bank declared the account as "fraud" and blacklisted the valuers involved. It initially approached the CBI for action but instead served a final notice to the company on Oct 21, 2024. Later, the bank approached the Economic Offences Wing (EOW), Lucknow, with a formal request to register an FIR, said ACP, Hazratganj, Vikas Kumar Jaiswal.
