David Raum has said that his RB Leipzig team will do everything to stop Bayern Munich from clinching the Bundesliga title in their duel on Saturday.
Bayern are eight games ahead of title holders Bayer Leverkusen and will be assured of the title with two games to spare if they win in Leipzig.

"Everyone should have the idea that we're going to put everything into this game and not let Bayern have their party in our living room," Raum said on Tuesday.
Raum conceded that his national team partner and Bayern midfielder Joshua Kimmich "comes as captain with Bayern Munich to Leipzig in a very good position."
But he insisted: "I simply want to crash his (Kimmich's) party."
Leipzig need the points in their bid for a top four finish and Champions League football next season. They are fifth, two points behind Frreiburg after being held 1-1 by lowly Kiel and crashing 4-0 at Eintracht Frankfurt.

Raum said the recent setbacks had nothing to do with coach Zsolt Löw who replaced Marco Rose until the end of the season as caretaker.
"At the end of the day it is not a question about the coach. It is a question about the team, the attitude of every player. Everyone must question himself whether he has the right attitude and pursues the right goals," Raum said.
Raum said that the team is not a title contender at the moment and that a rebuild is needed in summer.
"We have to make sure that we are honest with each other. We have to make sure that we regroup," he said.

🔎 The Debrief as PSG confirm favourite status and Bayern show no mercy

The Club World Cup really kicked into gear on Sunday with four games, including a record-breaking win for Bayern Munich. Here's what happened. You can sign up to DAZN to watch every FIFA Club World Cup game for free. What happened? 📝 Sunday's action kicked off in Cincinnati as Bayern Munich scored 10 (Ten) against amateur outfit Auckland City. Thomas Müller netted twice with what could be his last ever goals for the club whilst Jamal Musiala bagged a late hat-trick. Advertisement After that it was Paris Saint-Germain's turn to impress as they hammered 10-man Atlético de Madrid 4-0 to further enhance their status as the likely favourites for this tournament. Then it was off to New Jersey as the MetLife Stadium played host to Palmeiras and Porto. The Brazilian giants were probably the better side in this one but the game remained goalless. Finally it was heartbreak for home side Seattle Sounders, as they lost 2-1 to Botafogo thanks to two first half headers. Player of the day 🔥 PSG carried on where they left off in last month's Champions League final with a total demolition of Atleti in Pasadena. Advertisement There were plenty of exceptional performances on display, but the best came from midfielder Vitinha. The Portugal international has truly found a home with the Parisien outfit and once again looked like the best central midfielder on the planet. Stat of the Day 📊 Bayern Munich's 10-0 annihilation of Auckland City was the largest winning margin in Club World Cup history. The biggest margin of defeat before yesterday's game was Al Hilal's 6-1 loss to Al Jazeera back in 2002. What this means 🤔 Bayern Munich sit top of Group C with an incredibly healthy goal difference and now wait to see how Benfica and Boca Juniors get on later tonight. Advertisement In Group B meanwhile, PSG and Botafogo are level on three points with the European champions leading on goal difference. Palmeiras' draw with Porto means that Group A is on a knife-edge with all four teams now level on one point following Al Ahly and Inter Miami's own goalless draw on Saturday. What they said 🗣️ 📸 Dylan Buell - 2025 Getty Images When asked whether he felt sorry for Auckland City following their 10-0 defeat, Bayern winger Michael Olise simply replied: "No". Palmeiras winger Estevao was pleased with his side's point against Porto, telling "We played a good game, with a lot of volume, passing exchanges, but lacked efficiency with our finishing. We weren't capable of scoring a goal. Now we have to improve and go for a result in the next game.' Advertisement PSG captain Marquinhos was delighted with his side's intensity as they brushed Atleti aside: "We never know how a game will end up, especially when playing an opponent like them. Our team showed its strength. Yes, we won the Champions League, but today we showed our intensity once again. We have to be humble, continue to defend, to attack, and keep going in the same direction.' Seattle Sounders may have lost in front of their home crowd, but head coach Brian Schmetzer was happy with his side's performance: "It was an exciting game. I'm happy for the fans and proud of the players' effort. In the first half, we gave a couple goals away but came back in the second half and made a statement. We showed we can compete. That's what we're asking: work and compete. And they did that tonight.' What's next? 👀 There are three more games on Monday and into the night with Chelsea making their bow against MLS side LAFC. Advertisement Then we've got a fascinating encounter between Boca Juniors and Benfica that will round of the first matches in Group B before Brazilian behemoth Flamengo take on African giants Esperance de Tunis. 📸 FREDERIC J. Malik Tillman finally has his moment with the U.S. men's team: 'He's a baller'

SAN JOSE, Calif. — The surprise on Chris Richards' face said it all. Told following the U.S. men's national team's resounding 5-0 win over Trinidad and Tobago on Sunday that three-year veteran Malik Tillman had scored his first two goals for the USMNT, Richards couldn't believe it. "I had no idea," said the U.S. center back. "Malik, to be fair, he doesn't speak that much, so I wouldn't have known that. But that's crazy." Tillman earned the first of his 20 International caps in 2022. One of the final cuts from the USMNT's 2022 World Cup roster, the German-born Bayern Munich product is coming off a career season with PSV Eindhoven, which he helped win the last two Dutch titles and advance to the knockout stage of the UEFA Champions League in consecutive seasons. Despite missing a chunk of the 2024-25 campaign because of injury, he still managed to score 16 goals in 34 appearances for PSV last term. Still, he'd never found the net at international level until Sunday. With most of the Americans' top stars — Christian Pulisic, Weston McKennie, Antonee "Jedi" Robinson and Tim Weah among them — missing for various reasons this summer, this Gold Cup and the two tuneups before it represent an opportunity for others to make their mark. Tillman, who manned an attacking midfield role for coach Mauricio Pochettino against the Soca Warriors, has made the most of his opportunity so far. He was the best U.S. player in last weekend's 2-1 loss to Türkiye. On Sunday, he was even better — with the goals to show for it. The 23-year-old opened the scoring for the hosts 16 minutes in, then doubled his team's lead before halftime. "I've been waiting for this moment for a long time," Tillman, his voice barely above a whisper as always, said after earning Man of the Match honors. "A lot of people have been waiting as well." Given his pedigree, Tillman's quality has never been in doubt. But until Sunday, he had struggled to duplicate his form for PSV with the national team — in part because his path to logging regular minutes was blocked. Now, with fellow attackers like Pulisic, Weah and Gio Reyna absent, he has his first real chance to occupy a significant role at the international level. The payoff has been a long time coming, both for Tillman and the USMNT "I understand him better now," said Pochettino, who replaced former coach Gregg Berhalter last September. "October, November, when we met for the first time, I think it was difficult to create this relationship that the player needs, and the coach needs, to trust each other," Pochettino said. "That is about time. Now, after a few weeks together, I really start to understand him, and he starts to understand us. "He's a fantastic kid," the former Chelsea, Tottenham and Paris Saint-Germain manager continued. "He's a talented player, one of the most talented players I think that we have in the USA." Tillman wasn't the only player to stand out against T&T. Diego Luna assisted on Tillman's second goal, then set up the Americans' third when his low shot hit striker Patrick Agyemang and then the back of the net. Luca de la Torre, who made the U.S. roster for the last World Cup but didn't play in Qatar, bossed the midfield alongside newcomer Sebastian Berhalter. With two late helpers, fullback Max Arfsten rebounded from a poor performance in last week's 4-0 loss to Switzerland. Haji Wright, another 2022 vet, scored the Americans' fifth on Sunday in clinical fashion. The victory simultaneously snapped a four-match losing skid and set the U.S. up well for its final two group games, against guest team Saudi Arabia and Haiti. (The Saudis beat the Haitians 1-0 in Sunday's nightcap. "That is only one victory," Pochettino said. "Now we need to see the next one." With the 2026 World Cup on home soil now less than a year away, the opportunity ins't lost on his players. "It's the last tournament that we have before the World Cup," Tillman said. "So it's very important for us to show ourselves, to show that we are still there, that we're still a good team, even though some players are not here." Nobody boosted their stock on Sunday as much as Tillman, who is finally beginning to show U.S. fans and players alike his personality, both on and off the field. "From the outside, he's very quiet. But then once you get to know him he's a teddy bear," said Richards of Tillman, who he's known since both were playing in Bayern's reserve squad six years ago. "When I first met him he didn't speak any English, and now he's playing for the national team," Richards added. "It's really amazing to not just see him develop as a player, but as a person. And he fully deserved two goals today. "He's a baller." Here's a summary of the highlights from the first day of the revamped FIFA tournament. Advertisement A lackluster start Lionel Messi hit the post and failed to score in a debut where Ustari was the standout player, and Al Ahly showed themselves to be as competitive as the American team. A dull start to the World Cup. Bayern brought more excitement With a thrashing of Auckland City, the Bundesliga champion put on a show, although it also raises the debate about whether it's fair to have two clubs of different scales compete in an international tournament. For now, Musiala's return with three goals was great news. Can this Atlético compete in the World Cup? Enrique Cerezo said before the match against PSG that they were in the USA to reach the final, but the French thrashing indicates a different reality. Advertisement Atlético lacked rhythm and quality to trouble the European champion. The first Europe-South America duel arrived We had the most entertaining duel of the day. Both Porto and Palmeiras proposed an offensive approach, but fell short in the definition, although goalkeeper Claudio Ramos was the hero with the save of the day. Seattle gave a good account of themselves for the MLS Although everything pointed to Botafogo as a clear favorite, Seattle Sounders troubled the South American team throughout the second half, dramatically approaching the equalizer in the final minutes, although it wasn't enough to steal a point.
