At present, romantic sequences featuring the lead pair, Ram and Bhagyashree Borse, are being filmed against a night backdrop. This night schedule is to continue for 10 days, the sources said and added that after these sequences are shot, the team would shift to daytime shoots for the next 20 days. During these 20 days, the unit would film the climax and other key sequences in the film. The unit is to wind up shooting with this final schedule. Cinematography for the film is by Siddhartha Nuni while National Award-winning editor Sreekar Prasad has been assigned the responsibility of editing the film. As announced by the production house, the film is a biopic of a fan called Sagar, played by Ram Pothineni. Actress Bhagyashree Borse, whose popularity graph is soaring north, plays the female lead in the film which will also feature Kannada superstar Upendra. Upendra plays the character of a film superstar called Surya Kumar in the film. Backed by a highly experienced technical crew, the project promises top-notch cinematic quality. Bengaluru: Days after its auto-translation tool erroneously declared CM Siddaramaiah as deceased in a condolence message, social media giant Meta issued an apology and claimed to have fixed the glitch. "We fixed an issue that briefly caused this inaccurate Kannada translation. We apologise that this happened," a Meta spokesperson said Thursday, following a sharp backlash from the CM and his office. The controversy erupted after the CM's Office posted a condolence message in Kannada on Facebook and Instagram, mourning the death of veteran actress B Sarojadevi. However, the English auto-translation read:"CM Siddaramaiah passed away yesterday, a multilingual star, senior actress B. Took darshan of Sarojadeviʼs earthly body and paid his last respects." Arunava Sinha's 'The Laboratory'
It's fair to say that literature-in-translation from Indian languages is enjoying an extended phase of cultural prominence. Writers working in Hindi, Tami, Bangla, Kannada et al are increasingly being published around the world in translation, and winning awards (the latest being the 2025 International Booker Prize for Kannada writer Banu Mushtaq and her English translator Deepa Bhasthi). In another happy development in this space, the prolific translator Arunava Sinha has started a new publishing imprint called Chowringhee Press, specifically for Indian translations. The first-ever Chowringhee Press title is Sinha's own translation of The Laboratory, a short novel by Rabindranath Tagore that also happens to be the last novel he ever wrote.
