The upgrades were initially expected to take up to six months, but council chiefs have since announced that the much-loved attraction will reopen in just a few weeks' time.
The local authority says it has put new life below the surface of the iconic facility - replacing old pumps and air blowers, upgrading obsolete electrical panels, and replacing over a mile of outdated wiring.
Bosses at Active NL shared a video on social media giving a sneak peek behind the scenes of the revamp.
In the caption, they added: "It's been a busy few months recharging the Time Capsule waterpark and we are delighted to announce that we anticipate the reopening to be late July.
"As we enter the final stages of the most significant upgrade to the waterpark in over 30 years, we're excited to welcome visitors back.
"While some of the features such as the tipping bucket won't be in action yet, we are committed to a phased programme of work to restore them."
They thanked visitors for their "understanding and patience" during the upgrades phase and urged punters to keep an eye on their social media pages for updates.
In June, the Time Capsule was named on Time Out's list of the UK's top pools.
The much-loved attraction is located just 25 minutes outside of Glasgow and boasts a wave machine, fun flumes and other 'unique' rides.
There is a 25m swimming pool, a Tsunami wavepool, and a Riptide River.
World's tallest waterslide
And the leisure complex includes a fully equipped gym, an ice rink and a soft play area.
The Time Capsule attracts over 700,000 visitors each year and remains one of Lanarkshire's most popular attractions.
Entry fees range from £3.55 to £6.85 per person.

Some videos on social media even show off live music outside. You don't forget it's a McDonald's, though, when you spot a huge Ronald McDonald statue on a bench. It has made an impression with visitors too, one wrote on Tripadvisor: "I guarantee you won't have seen a McDonald's like it." Another said: "The McDonald's here is amazing. Because of the city's historical preservation rules, you won't know that McDonald's is there unless you happen to walk by and look inside." Inside there's not a lot of room, but 20 diners can sit across 10 tables. There's also the cockpit, which has been preserved behind a glass wall. The outside of the plane has been repainted, and the previous airline name has been replaced with the McDonald's logo of course. Brits could be fined THOUSANDS if they don't follow little-known duty free rules for cigarettes, booze & perfume

Holidaymakers could also see their items seized upon re-entering the UK, if they fail to meet border control's high standards. To make it easy for travellers, the Government and British border forces are clear about how much of each product you can bring in. Importing alcohol to Britain Bringing alcohol into the UK is legal, but there are strict limits on how much alcohol you can take with you through customs. You can bring a total of 4 litres of a spirit over 22 per cent ABV (alcohol by volume) or 9 litres of an alcohol under 22 per cent ABV. However, you cannot bring both quantities. If you have a variety of alcoholic products with you, then they must total the same amount listed above. For example, 4.5 litres of cider (a drink under 22 per cent ABV) and 2 litres of a spirit above 22 per cent ABV would be allowed into Britain. This is because each quantity is equivalent to 50 per cent of the legal amount. Meanwhile, 4 litres of a spirit and 9 litres of cider would be double the amount which you can import. Failing to follow customs law could see you being handed a £2,500 fine per contravention. UK airport reveals new security rules for passengers If the amount of imported alcohol is exceptionally high or you are a repeat offender, you could be slapped with a prison sentence. The length of the sentence could vary greatly, depending on your crime. There are strict limits on tobacco products too UK law allows you to bring a maximum 200 cigarettes OR 100 cigarillos OR 50 cigars of 250g of tobacco (including shisha) OR 200 sticks of tobacco for heating to Britain. Like alcohol, you must combine these allowances. That would mean you could bring 100 cigarettes and 25 cigars, for example, as each is at 50 per cent of the total allowed in. Tobacco products, like alcohol, can only be brought into the country by someone over the age of 17. Also, tobacco and alcohol quantities are counted as entirely separate so you don't get a larger quantity of one by taking none of the other. Luxury goods at the border Luxury goods, including perfume or electrical items, can often be imported into the UK without paying duty or tax. However, if the sum total of the items exceeds £390, you will have to pay tax on every item - not just the ones which push you over the limit. For people arriving by private plane or boat for leisure, the allowance is £270. Meat, milk and plants are banned The importation of meat, honey and dairy is strictly prohibited. The only exception to this rule is to infant milk or medical food, though both amounts cannot exceed 2kg. Failing to follow these rules could see you being slapped with a staggering £5000 fine. EU arrivals are the only group allowed to take high-priority plants into the country, though they will need to apply beforehand for a phytosanitary certificate. Restrictions on cash Cash up to a total of £10,000 can be brought into Britain, though this must be declared 72 hours in advance of your arrival. Declarations on all products listed here must be made, even if you are just transferring flight. Failing to declare something could result in you receiving a criminal sentence.

We visited new £500,00 attraction at Scots theme park – it's the perfect day out with kids during summer holidays

Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) THERE are two words frazzled parents dread hearing during the long summer holiday break: 'I'm bored'. But luckily a brand new £500,000 attraction has opened in the nick of time and will hopefully entertain youngsters. 4 Joel Patterson couldn't wait to tackle the castle Credit: Stuart patterson 4 Joel loved the new castle Credit: L patterson 4 Joel and his dad having a great time at the new attraction Credit: L Patterson Little-known Scots theme park Brechin Castle Centre has come to the rescue of mums and dads with a fantastic new playzone. I was invited to sample the new Dragontale Castle with my seven-year-old son Joel and my wife Lyndsay. The excitement started in the car when my son spotted the imposing 32-foot high structure as we drove towards the centre. He was amazed by the dragon's wings bursting out of the side and couldn't wait to get there. And as soon as we got inside he was off and desperate to tackle the new castle. Within seconds he had scrambled to the top and was running along the rope bridges. He got to play at being a king by sitting on the throne. And absolutely loved spinning the wheel of wonder, which dishes out fairytale tasks. One minute he had to act as a knight on the obstacle course while dad had to head to the wizard's library. There are telescopes in the towers and talking tubes so youngsters can send messages to each other from opposite ends of the site. Alongside that there are two slides, which kids never seem to get bored whizzing down. One of the UK's oldest theme parks launches first water ride in 25 years There was a challenge to try and work out which was faster. The two trampolines and swings add to the fun. We were there on a sunny day and despite it being packed it never felt overly busy because it's so big. A delighted Joel told me: 'I'm sure I've dreamed about this place.' 4 Thew new Dragontale Castle attraction Credit: supplied by Brechin Castle Centre Hours flashed by as we lapped up the incredible new castle. The crowds of kids all seemed to be as enchanted as my little one. Guests are free to bring their own food and drink and eat it outside at one of the many park benches. There is also a cafe. But the castle is not all there is try out and there are a host of other attractions on offer. The fairy trail is a treat for kids of all ages, as they pretend to be shrunk to the size of a butterfly and dodge a troll. Crazy golf was a hit with us as were the go-karts and the fast sledges. While the confusing maze went down a storm with Joel as he tried to make it to the flagpole in the middle. There are also zip slides, a foot golf course and massive jumping cushions to help drain off any final reserves of energy. We were all happy but tired after a day at Brechin Castle Centre that passed far too fast. And as we drove past Dragontale Castle on the way home Joel was determined to book in another visit sooner rather than later. Beware because instead of 'I'm bored' we're now hearing: 'When can we go back to the dragon castle?' Brechin Castle Centre is roughly half an hour from Dundee. It's open seven days a week, from 9am to 5pm. Dragontale Castle is included in the price of admission.
