The press release didn't indicate whether the planned adaptation would be a miniseries or an ongoing show, nor is there an estimated release date as of yet.

The new Netflix ‘Pride and Prejudice' is filling out its cast

The family's patriarch will be played by Rufus Sewell, who's already well within the Netflix family thanks to his work on 'The Diplomat' opposite Keri Russell, while Jamie Demetriou ('Stath Lets Flats') will step into the supercilious shoes of Mr. Collins, Elizabeth's deeply unsuitable suitor. The other villain of the piece, the rakish Mr. Wickham, will be played by Louis Partridge, last seen in the Apple TV+ series 'Disclaimer.' And while Mrs. Gardiner may not be the biggest part in the show, those of us who loved ' Advertisement Netflix is calling the series a 'faithful, classic adaptation of the novel,' so don't expect any zombies to pop up. Filming is apparently already underway in the UK, so look forward to more dribs and drabs of news to come out in the months to come. For instance, some of us have scoured all the casting news for information about Lizzy's best friend, Charlotte Lucas, to no avail.
