Reps. Josh Gottheimer (D‑N.J.) and Mike Lawler (R‑N.Y.) have introduced the Bunker Buster Act, granting Trump authority to send 30,000‑pound GBU‑57 Massive Ordnance Penetrators and B‑2 stealth bombers to Israel if Iran is found to still be developing nuclear weapons after recent strikes. The proposal aims to ensure that Israel has 'the tools and training they need to deter Tehran,' according to Lawler.According to Trump, 14 bunker-buster bombs were dropped on Iran's top nuclear facilities by B‑2 crews, which he said 'totally obliterated' the regime's nuclear program. Israel also launched airstrikes targeting Iranian military command centers and nuclear-linked sites. However, Israel lacks the specialized Massive Ordnance Penetrators and has no stealth bombers of its own. The US maintains 19 B‑2 bombers and does not transfer them to allies. Also read: Big Beautiful Bill: Republican-led House pushes Trump tax bill closer to passage IAEA Head Rafael Grossi told RFI that Iran's centrifuges at the underground Fordow facility are 'no longer operational' post-strikes. 'It is clear that there has been severe damage, but it's not total damage… they will be able to start doing this again.'Trump, lawmakers push deterrent against Iran's nuclear revival'Iran, the leading state sponsor of terror… can never have a nuclear weapon,' Gottheimer said, adding that Israel 'must be able to defend herself' and stop Iran's nuclear rebuilding. The proposal follows a Houthi missile strike on Israel, after which US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee suggested deploying B‑2 bombers to hit Houthi bases in Yemen, stating, 'Maybe those B2 bombers need to visit Yemen!'Also read: House Republicans say they expect to vote tonight on Trump's tax-cut bill B‑2 bombers have previously deployed to Yemen, striking Houthi targets in October, 2024. Who will join Elon Musk's America Party? Mark Cuban offers help, Anthony Scaramucci says, 'My DMs are...'

Elon Musk announced his new America Party but it's not clear whether he would lead the party. Two unlikely allies showed interest after Elon Musk announced the launch of his new America Party in an attempt to break the two-party system of US politics following his disenchantment with President Donald Trump over the 'Big, Beautiful Bill'. Musk had already lost all hope with the Democrats and switched his allegiance to the GOP after years of being loyal to the Democrats. A Democratic billionaire who is mostly at odds with Elon Musk and who backed Kamala Harris in the 2024 election, Mark Cuban was one of the first prominent figures to respond to Elon Musk. Cuban said Center for Competitive Democracy could get Elon Musk's new party on ballots. "I work with @voterchoice (Center for Competitive Democracy). They will help you get on ballots," Cuban added. "That is their mission." Former member of Trump's first administration Anthony Scaramucci, who also endorsed Kamala Harris, offered his assistance. "I would like to meet to discuss," he responded to Elon. "My DMs are open," he added. Both Mark Cuban and Anthony Scaramucci responded to Elon Musk's post announcing the formation of the America Party in which Elon wrote: "By a factor of 2 to 1, you want a new political party and you shall have it!. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Providers are furious: Internet access without a subscription! Techno Mag Learn More Undo When it comes to bankrupting our country with waste & graft, we live in a one-party system, not a democracy. Today, the America Party is formed to give you back your freedom." It is not yet known whether the America Party is officially registered or not. It's not clear whether Elon Musk would be the face of the party, himself; as he can't run the presidential election as he was not born in the US. Tucker Carlson, MTG or Thomas Massie? Trump ally Laura Loomer came up with her interesting prediction that Tucker Carlson, Marjorie Taylor Greene and Thomas Massie will join Elon Musk -- as all three of them had a beef with Trump. Thomas Massie vehemently opposed the spending bill which was the flashpoint between Musk and Trump while Tucker Carlson and Greene were opposed to US dropping bombs on Iran's nuclear facilities.

Gaza Truce Talks To Resume In Doha Before Netanyahu Heads To US

Indirect negotiations between Israel and Hamas are set to resume Sunday in Doha for a Gaza truce and hostage release deal, ahead of a visit by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the White House. Netanyahu had earlier announced he was sending a team to Qatar, a key mediator in the conflict, though he said Hamas's response to a draft US-backed ceasefire deal contained "unacceptable" demands. Under mounting pressure to end the war, now approaching its 22nd month, Netanyahu is scheduled to meet on Monday with US President Donald Trump, who has been making a renewed push to end the fighting. A Palestinian official familiar with the talks and close to Hamas said international mediators had informed the group that "a new round of indirect negotiations... will begin in Doha today". The talks would focus on conditions for a possible ceasefire, including hostage and prisoner releases, and Hamas would also seek the reopening of Gaza's Rafah crossing to evacuate the wounded, the official told AFP. Hamas's delegation, led by its top negotiator Khalil al-Hayya, was in Doha, the official told AFP. Israel's public broadcaster said the country's delegation had left for the Qatari capital in the early afternoon. Netanyahu met Israeli President Isaac Herzog for talks on Gaza and efforts to expand ties with Arab states before his departure for the United States at 5:00 pm (1400 GMT). In Tel Aviv on Saturday, protesters gathered for a weekly rally demanding the return of hostages held in Gaza since Hamas's October 7, 2023 attack, which triggered the war. Macabit Mayer, the aunt of captives Gali and Ziv Berman, called for a deal "that saves everyone". 'Enough' Two Palestinian sources close to the discussions told AFP the proposal included a 60-day truce, during which Hamas would release 10 living hostages and several bodies in exchange for Palestinians detained by Israel. However, they said, the group was also demanding certain conditions for Israel's withdrawal, guarantees against a resumption of fighting during negotiations, and the return of the UN-led aid distribution system. On the ground, Gaza's civil defence agency said 14 people were killed by Israeli forces on Sunday. The agency said 10 were killed in a pre-dawn strike on Gaza City's Sheikh Radawn neighbourhood, where AFP images showed Palestinians searching through the rubble for survivors with their bare hands. Media restrictions in Gaza and difficulties in accessing many areas mean AFP is unable to independently verify the tolls and details provided by the civil defence agency. Contacted by AFP, the Israeli military said it could not comment on specific strikes without precise coordinates. Sheikh Radawn resident Osama al-Hanawi told AFP: "The rest of the family is still under the rubble." "We are losing young people, families and children every day, and this must stop now. Enough blood has been shed." Since the Hamas attack sparked a massive Israeli offensive with the aim of destroying the group, mediators have brokered two temporary halts in fighting, during which hostages were freed in exchange for Palestinian prisoners in Israeli custody. Of the 251 hostages taken by Palestinian militants during the October 2023 attack, 49 are still held in Gaza, including 27 the Israeli military says are dead. Recent efforts to broker a new truce have repeatedly failed, with the primary point of contention being Israel's rejection of Hamas's demand for a lasting ceasefire. 'Dying For Flour' The war has created dire humanitarian conditions for the more than two million people in the Gaza Strip. Karima al-Ras, from Khan Yunis in southern Gaza, said "we hope that a truce will be announced" to allow in more aid. "People are dying for flour," she said. A US- and Israel-backed group, the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, took the lead in food distribution in the territory in late May, when Israel partially lifted a more than two-month blockade on aid deliveries. UN agencies and major aid groups have refused to cooperate with the GHF over concerns it was designed to cater to Israeli military objectives. The UN human rights office said more than 500 people have been killed waiting to access food from GHF distribution points. The Hamas attack of October 2023 resulted in the deaths of 1,219 people, mostly civilians, according to an AFP tally based on Israeli official figures. Israel's retaliatory campaign has killed at least 57,418 people in Gaza, also mostly civilians, according to the Hamas-run territory's health ministry. The United Nations considers the figures reliable.

Trump's MAGA Ally Laura Loomer Predicts These 3 Americans Will Join Musk's New Party

Washington: US President Donald Trump's MAGA (Make America Great Again) ally Laura Loomer predicted on Sunday that three famous Americans-- including Tucker Carlson, Marjorie Taylor Greene and Thomas Massie-- will join billionaire Elon Musk's new America Party. Following through on his threat, Trump's former presidential advisor and the world's richest person, announced the launch of his new political party in the United States earlier today, just a day after US President Donald Trump signed the Big, Beautiful Bill into law. Taking to X, Loomer wrote, "I predict Tucker Carlson, MTG, and Thomas Massie will join the new 'America Party' to spite President Trump." In the past, Loomer has labelled Carlson, an American conservative political commentator, a "fake Trump supporter." Geene became the MAGA leader's target after he sided with Musk over his criticism of the Big Beautiful legislation. Massie, a Musk-backed legislator, was among two Republicans who voted against Trump's signature spending bill alongside the entire House Democratic Caucus. Trump has previously called him a "pathetic loser." Musk's New Party Musk, who was Trump's biggest political donor in the 2024 election, launched his America Party to challenge what he described as the country's "one-party system." The tech mogul had a bitter falling out with the president after leading the Republicans' effort to slash spending and cut federal jobs as head of the so-called Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Musk opposed Trump's massive domestic spending plan, saying it would explode the US debt, and vowed to do everything in his power to defeat lawmakers who voted for it. Now, with his own political framework under the so-called America Party, Musk will try and achieve that. "When it comes to bankrupting our country with waste & graft, we live in a one-party system, not a democracy," the SpaceX and Tesla boss posted on X, the social media platform that he owns. "Today, the America Party is formed to give you back your freedom." Musk cited a poll -- uploaded on Friday, US Independence Day -- in which he asked whether respondents "want independence from the two-party (some would say uniparty) system" that has dominated US politics for some two centuries. The yes-or-no survey earned more than 1.2 million responses. "By a factor of 2 to 1, you want a new political party and you shall have it!" he posted on Saturday.
