SPA-FRANCORCHAMPS, Belgium - McLaren's Oscar Piastri beat teammate and title rival Lando Norris in a rain-delayed Belgian Grand Prix to stretch his Formula One lead to 16 points on Sunday.
Charles Leclerc was a distant third for Ferrari as dominant champions McLaren celebrated their sixth one-two finish in 13 races and the third in a row.
The race at Spa-Francorchamps was red-flagged after an initial formation lap and delayed by an hour and 20 minutes due to the weather, with standing water and heavy spray affecting visibility.
Once the racing got going Piastri made quick work of overtaking pole-sitter Norris on a dominant afternoon for the Australian, who finished 3.415 seconds clear. REUTERS

Neither club disclosed any financial details of the deal, but Sky Sports said the transfer could cost up to 43.7 million pounds ($58.17 million), consisting of an initial 26.2 million fee plus 17.5 million in potential add-ons. Felix moved from Benfica to Atletico Madrid in 2019 when he was only 19 and then joined Chelsea on loan for the 2022-2023 campaign before being loaned to Barcelona the following season. He made a permanent move to Chelsea in August 2024. After just six months, Chelsea loaned the forward to AC Milan before his latest transfer to Saudi Arabia. Felix will play alongside Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr, who are coached by compatriot Jorge Jesus. They face Al-Ittihad in the Saudi Super Cup semi-finals on August 19. REUTERS

Biathlete Dahlmeier missing after mountaineering fall in Pakistan, reports say
BERLIN :German biathlete and double Olympic champion Laura Dahlmeier has been at least seriously injured in a mountaineering accident in Pakistan, with emergency responders so far unable to reach her, according to media reports on Tuesday citing her management. The accident occurred on Monday when Dahlmeier was hit by a falling rock in the Karakoram, a mountain range in the Kashmir region, the ZDF broadcaster reported. Her management did not immediately respond to an emailed request for comment from Reuters. ZDF said that a helicopter overflight on Tuesday had found no signs of life. Dahlmeier retired from the sport in 2019, aged 25, a year after becoming the first female biathlete to achieve a sprint and pursuit double at the same Olympics.

The Lions won the test with a try from Hugo Keenan in the final seconds but Australia believe a ruling from referee Andrea Piardi at a ruck immediately beforehand was incorrect.
