Special judge (MP-MLA) listed the matter for hearing arguments on the charge on behalf of the Delhi police on August 23.
Balyan is in custody after his arrest on December 4, 2024, in this case. He was charged by way of a supplementary charge sheet.

The court has already taken cognisance of the main offence under sections 3 and 4 of the MCOC Act on February 24.
On July 15, Delhi Police had filed a supplementary charge sheet against two more accused,
Vikas Gehlot
and his wife Veenita. Delhi police have invoked Section 25 of the Arms Act against the accused Veenita.
It is claimed by the police that at the instructions of his husband Vikas Gehlot, Veenita transported the firearm and ammunition from the house of Vikas to the house of a relative. On April 17, arms and ammunition were recovered from their relative's house. A seizure memo was also prepared for this.
The Ballistic Expert's opinion is also on record, and a Sanction under section 39 of the Arms Act, 1959 has also been obtained, the court had noted.
Advocate Rohit Kumar Dalal appeared for Naresh Balyan. Naresh Balyan's
bail petition
is pending before the Delhi High Court. His earlier bail plea was rejected on May 27 by the Rouse Avenue court. Delhi police have filed a supplementary charge sheet under sections 3 and 4 of MCOCA against Balyan.
In this case, the Delhi police have charged the accused, namely Ritik alias Peter, Rohit alias Anna, Sachin Chikara, Naresh Balyan, Sahil alias Police, Vijay alias Kalu, Vikas Gehlot, Veenita, and Jyoti Prakash alias Baba. Baba is the real brother of Kapil Sangwan.

Daltonganj: The recovery of a foreign-made pistol from the possession of four people who had gathered to loot a construction agency in Palamu district on Monday has baffled the police. The sophisticated handgun was recovered by the police during a preemptive strike on August 18, a police officer said, adding all four were arrested. Poppy husk worth 13L seized after hot pursuit
Palanpur: The local crime branch of Aravalli district along with Malpur police personnel seized 437kg of poppy husk that was smuggled in from Mandsaur in MP when they chased down and intercepted an Innova car near Malpur bus stand despite the suspects shooting at them. While the driver was apprehended, his accomplice managed to escape. Police also seized a country-made pistol, live cartridges, phones and the vehicle used in the crime. According to investigators, the consignment was being smuggled from Mandsaur in MP, through Gujarat, to Rajasthan. Acting on specific intelligence, police tried to flag down a suspicious silver Innova near Galiyadanti toll plaza. The driver sped away towards Malpur, leading to a chase. Near Malpur bus station, the accused allegedly fired a round from a pistol at the police van. Fortunately, the bullet missed. The vehicle was eventually cornered and the driver — Sohnalal, son of Sadarambhai Poonmaram Bishnoi, of Barmer, Rajasthan —was arrested. His associate managed to flee. Police seized 21 sacks of poppy husk (437kg) valued at Rs 13.12 lakh, a country-made pistol (Rs 10,000), two cartridges, two mobile phones (Rs 25,000) and the Innova car (Rs 10 lakh), for a total value of Rs 23.47 lakh. A case was registered under the NDPS Act, the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita , Arms Act Sections (25(1)(a), 27(1)) and the Motor Vehicles Act at Malpur police station. Man assaulted by brother in Delhi's Sangam Vihar over personal dispute
A personal dispute turned violent in Delhi's Sangam Vihar on Monday, when a 49-year-old man was assaulted by his younger brother and associates, police said. The victim sustained lacerated wounds on his forehead and scalp, along with swelling on his left hand, and was admitted to Batra Hospital for medical treatment, the Police said. Following a PCR call, medical-legal certificate and the victim's statement, the police registered a case under Sections 110/3(5) BNS and 308 of the Indian Penal Code at Sangam Vihar Police Station. An investigation into the incident is ongoing, they added. More details are awaited.
