Joe Jonas has been a musical superstar for nearly two decades now, but his commercial success has largely been tied to his siblings. As one-third of the Jonas Brothers, he's scored global smashes and several bestselling albums. His solo career, however, hasn't fared quite as well, especially in the United Kingdom.
The singer lands his first hits on a number of charts in that country this week with his latest release on his own, Music for People Who Believe in Love. The title earns Jonas his first placement under his own name on several tallies, though, interestingly, it still trails behind his debut solo offering in one important manner.
Music for People Who Believe in Love debuts on three charts across the Atlantic. It opens at No. 15 on both the Official Albums Sales and Official Physical Albums charts. The collection also enters at No. 36 on the Official Album Downloads list. These placements mark a first for Jonas as a soloist on all three rankings. The Jonas Brothers, meanwhile, have collected between two and five appearances on each and every one of them throughout the years.
Despite its lofty placement on a handful of tallies, Music for People Who Believe in Love doesn't reach the Official Albums chart, the all-encompassing ranking of the 100 most consumed full-lengths and EPs in the nation. Jonas's debut solo album, Fastlife, did land on that tally. Released in late 2011, Fastlife spent one frame at No. 99 before disappearing for good. It never managed to appear on any of the other charts where Jonas currently appears.
So far, Music for People Who Believe in Love has produced just one charting hit: "Heart by Heart." The catchy lead single debuts on a pair of tallies this frame in the U.K. It opens at No. 72 on the Official Singles Sales list and No. 69 on the Official Singles Downloads tally.
Jonas is brand new to the Official Singles Sales chart, as "Heart by Heart" earns him his first solo win on the list of the bestselling tunes in the U.K.
He's already placed on the Official Singles Downloads roster multiple times. In fact, "Heart by Heart" marks his fifth solo entry on that tally and his first since 2011. To date, Jonas has managed only one top 40 solo success on that U.K. ranking — a duet with Demi Lovato on "This Is Me," which peaked at No. 31 in 2008.

Joe Jonas' Embarrassing Sex Confession Will Have You Soaring

Originally appeared on E! Online is only human. The Jonas Brothers member shared that a mishap with his contacts left him in an embarrassing situation after he "joined the mile high club a couple years ago.' "Left the bathroom, I thought I was high-fiving my drummer," Joe told the Are You Okay Show on TikTok in an Aug. 19 video. "After the high-five, I realized it was the flight attendant." Thankfully, the 36-year-old noted "it was a private plane" so he wouldn't be "banned from flying." And when asked if it was worth it, he gave an enthusiastic 'yes." This isn't the first time Joe has shared a brutally honest confession. Earlier this month, he revealed that he and his brothers Nick Jonas and Kevin Jonas all require an "ants on a log" snack in their dressing rooms on tour, and he accidentally hinted during a recent interview that Camp Rock 3 may be currently in the works. "We were just talking about how there is a point in your life where, as an adult, you can remember the last time you s--t your pants," he said on KIIS FM's Will & Woody radio show in July 2023, admitting that, for him, it was "about four years ago." He added, "Let's just say it was a bad day to choose to wear white clothing." Luckily, the 'Cake by the Ocean' singer was able to change into fresh clothes quickly during the S.O.S. moment. "If you go in the archives, there is a wardrobe change halfway through the show, and it was maybe a little bit like, 'Oh that was an interesting choice to change clothes that quickly,'" Joe continued. "That's a story I've never told and also that's just real life." For more wild celeb confessions, keep reading. The Jonas Brothers tour and their nightly surprise guests — including Demi Lovato, Jesse McCartney and Hanson — are making millennials' nostalgia dreams come true

The Greetings From Your Hometown tour kicked off on Aug. 10. It's a warm summer night. You've managed to score a coveted ticket to the Jonas Brothers concert, where you're singing at the top of your lungs about scorching temperatures, outselling Kelly Clarkson and getting bitten by the love bug. Maybe you've bought some JoBros merch too. A tote bag. A 'JB' dad hat. A graphic tee with the bros smoldering at the camera. The fangirl in you has been unleashed in a way that only a trio of brothers from New Jersey could unleash it. It feels like 2008 all over again, only it's not. It's August 2025. Nick, Joe and Kevin Jonas of the Jonas Brothers kicked off their JONAS20: Greetings From Your Hometown tour on Aug. 10. In just six shows, they've already served up what can only be described as a millennial dream come true. In addition to performing their earlier hits, the brothers have already invited a handful of bands and artists who were popular in the aughts to join them onstage as surprise guests at each tour stop. Aughts-era pop-rock bands Boys Like Girls and the All-American Rejects were also tapped as opening acts for select dates. Demi Lovato, perhaps the most notable guest so far, was greeted by ear-shattering shrieks from millennial fans when she strutted onto the MetLife Stadium stage on the opening night of the tour. Lovato performed two Camp Rock-era duets, 'This Is Me' and 'I Wouldn't Change a Thing' with Joe, whom she dated in 2010. For Lovato, who struggled with sobriety and her mental health at the height of her Disney stardom, taking the stage with the brothers was a 'healing' experience. 'It was so healing for me too,' she said on the Chicks in the Office podcast last week. 'You know, we've been through so much together, all of us, the Jonas Brothers and I.' The 'Fast' pop star wasn't the only nostalgia-inducing guest that night — Jesse McCartney serenaded millennials with his Disney hit 'Beautiful Soul,' and Switchfoot performed their 2003 song 'Meant to Live,' along with the JoBro track 'Hold On.' The whole Jonas family — mom Denise Jonas, dad Kevin Jonas Sr., brother Franklin Jonas, Kevin's wife, Danielle, and their daughters, Valentina and Alena — also took the stage to sing 'When You Look Me in the Eyes' to emotionally close out the first show of the tour. Two days later, on Aug. 12, the boys descended upon Bristow, Va., where they brought out pop-punk phenoms All Time Low to perform their 2007 single 'Dear Maria, Count Me In.' For their Camden, N.J., show on Aug. 14, the Jonas Brothers tapped the Click Five, the band they actually opened for 20 years ago, to rock out to their 2005 hit 'Just the Girl' onstage. Hanson, a fellow iconic trio of singing brothers, played a rendition of their song 'MMMBop' with Nick, Joe and Kevin during their Virginia Beach tour stop on Aug. 15. Sunday night's show in Hershey, Pa., was filled with more aughts-era greatness. Pulling on the heartstrings of millennial Warped Tour attendees everywhere, the brothers brought out Cartel to perform their 2005 single 'Say Anything (Else).' Rounding out the guest appearances for the Aug. 17 show was none other than Hoobastank, who performed their 2003 ballad 'The Reason.' On Monday night in Bethel, N.Y., Boys Like Girls made their debut as a Greetings From Your Hometown tour opener. The pop-punk band played several tracks from their 2006 and 2009 albums, including 'The Great Escape,' 'Hero/Heroine' and 'Two Is Better Than One.' Troves of millennial fans have flocked to social media to gush about all the nostalgic appearances so far. One fan commented on a TikTok video, 'It's like Joe is going through my old iPod,' while another wrote, 'I fear a big portion of the crowds are going to be too young to appreciate these guests. So good for us 30-something's lol.' Added one more fan, 'Switchfoot and now Cartel??? I didn't recognize your game Jonas Bros.' The Greetings From Your Hometown tour hits different for those of us who grew up with the Jonas Brothers. It's a celebration of our childhood — of the music that dominated our iTunes libraries and soundtracked our adolescence. Millennials, it seems, are in agreement: There's comfort in knowing that these bands and artists are still here and still down to rock out with us after all this time. Solve the daily Crossword

Carly Simon Charts Her First Hit On One List With A Decades-Old Tune

Carly Simon's 'Coming Around Again' hits No. 20 on both the U.K.'s Official Singles Sales and Official Singles Downloads charts, a new high for the decades-old track. Singer-songwriter Carly Simon photographed in June 1971. (Photo by) Getty Images Carly Simon is regarded as one of the most celebrated female voices in pop music history, both for her pioneering work as a songwriter and for her slew of hit singles. While Simon hasn't released a new album in more than 15 years, she remains a legend and is highly regarded, especially among fellow singer-songwriters. Thanks to an exciting recent re-release of one of her most popular tunes, Simon is back on the charts in the United Kingdom — not with something brand new, but rather with a decades-old cut that has found a second life. Simon's 'Coming Around Again' reappears on both the Official Singles Sales and Official Singles Downloads charts this week. On the U.K.-based rankings, the pop classic returns at No. 20, which now marks its all-time high point on the two lists, which are built entirely around purchases. Alanis Morissette recently covered 'Coming Around Again' for a movie titled It's My Mother's Wedding. Simon isn't only credited as the original songwriter, but also as a vocalist, as she contributed backing tracks to the cut. Simon wrote the track for the Meryl Streep/Jack Nicholson film Heartburn, which arrived in 1986, and Morissette interestingly chose to rework the tune for another movie. Despite the fact that 'Coming Around Again' was originally released in the '80s, it didn't become a sales hit in the U.K. until 2021. In February of that year, the tune launched on both the Official Singles Sales and Official Singles Downloads lists, but only in the lower reaches of the rosters, and it disappeared after just one stay. More than four years later, it's back — and finally a top 20 hit. Simon scores her first-ever hit on the Official Singles Downloads chart, and she doubles her career sum on the Official Singles Sales list. Shortly after 'Coming Around Again' launched on the general sales roster, 'Why' landed at No. 91, and then it slipped away. Many of Simon's most famous tracks performed well on the Official Singles Chart, the main ranking of the most consumed songs, which predates any specific sales lists by many years. On that tally, she collected four top 10s, including 'Coming Around Again,' which peaked at No. 10 during its initial run.
