Next's 'very flattering' £24 denim shorts are a 'summer staple'
Next shoppers are heaping praise on a "perfect" pair of denim shorts they've been buying online. The retailer is well known for its clothing and accessories - and there may be a new must-have in stock.
The Mid Blue Denim Boy Shorts are priced at £24 and are available in four colours; mid blue, black, ecru and bleach denim. They feature a boy shorts design, a longer inseam and a turn-up hem.
Next has noted that the shorts have a "looser fit than usual" and are machine washable. They come in sixes six to 22, in regular or petite.
Alternatively, shoppers could snap up the Denim Mom High Waisted Shorts for £25 from M&S, while New Look stocks the Light Blue A-Line Denim Shorts on sale for £20.99, down from £27.99. ASOS also has the denim A line short in lightwash blue for £21, down from £26.
The full Next description reads: "Your classic, everyday denim shorts. They are mid-rise, designed to sit on your belly button and made from comfort stretch denim, which means they maintain an authentic denim look whilst having a small amount of stretch to allow for a more comfortable ready-to-wear short. They are finished with a turn-up hem, which can be rolled up or down."
The shorts have racked up rave reviews online, with one shopper writing: "Good quality material, perfect fit. True to size." A second said: "Lovely denim shorts, perfect fit. I buy these every year."
A third shopper added: "Fit was great, look lovely on" and another said: "Lovely length if you're still wanting to show a bit of leg but not too much. I wore these all the time on holiday. Really great summer staple for your wardrobe!"
However, some shoppers did have issues with the shorts once they arrived. One said: "I returned the item, didn't like the colour when they arrived."
A second added: "Not my preference compared to the same ones I've bought over the years, they are much shorter and feel really cheep."
Despite this, many shoppers continued to praise the shorts. One person said: "The shorts are a really good fit. The sizing is a little generous so you may need to size down if you have a slim build. They are high waisted and very comfortable to wear."
A second wrote: "These shorts are really comfortable. They fit perfectly and look really good. The material is of good quality." A third added: "Love these shorts, they are really comfortable, the denim is nice and soft, and they look great!"
A fourth shopper wrote: "I bought these for a recent holiday and they were perfect. A good fit and great style." A fifth said: "This are perfect for summer, not too short and a lovely fit."
