Rangers transfer guru in a blind panic over next Celtic signing as Hotline warned a superstar is on his way

Graeme Young answers your calls as the latest move from the champions is causing alarm across the Clyde. You only know if you've made a right call over a signing until they don their new club's colours and strut their stuff on the pitch. ‌ But if Celtic were looking for reassurances over a long-term target then it came in the form of a Rangers fanatic on the other side of the pond who obsesses over transfer and has more tips than a horse racing expert on the week of Cheltenham. ‌ And this familiar Stateside voice returned to the phone-in where big opinions are welcomed. He previously pleaded with Rangers to make high-rising Wilfried Nancy their new boss but he returns with bad news for his pals in Light Blue. ‌ Tom Starr, Cleveland, Ohio, said: "I spend my time glued to watching players I think would be good fits for my Rangers and Michel Ange-Balikwisha came on my radar when Celtic were linked in the last two windows. I made a series of notes on him and the name I kept scribbling down was Scott Sinclair. "Annoyingly this looks like another sharp bit of business by them and it's causing me double the worry because this guy will be cutting in and Kieran Tierney will be bombing past Tav. Rangers need some proper signings and quick. I have a list if Kevin Thelwell would like a peek." Stephen Mulheron, Dumbarton, is desperate for a deal to be struck. He said: "I don't understand why Celtic are still haggling over a fee for Michel Ange Balkwisha after spending serious money on Idah and Engels last season. Why are we holding back this season? "A game changer is needed up front to progress in Europe Balkwisha ticks all the boxes and I'll be hugely disappointed if Celtic don't get this deal over the line." And Celtic's transfer business even had another Rangers fan wondering if those who follow the Premiership champions will ever be happy? Kenny Cosh, Old Kilpatrick, said: "Celtic fans moan when they spend big and complain when they find bargains, they slag Rangers when they look in England for bargains and hit out when we try something different. There is no pleasing a fanbase who claim they aren't bored of winning. Something is making them grumpy but only 10 months until the biggest street party in history when Russell leads the biggest team in Scotland back to their rightful summit. ‌ Regulars are sick and tired of the snash being directed the way of Celtic from a team he reckons have little to shout about. Robert McEwan, Mount Vernon, said: "How bad it must be for Hotline callers of a light blue persuasion? All they go on about is Celtic's record in Europe, their team held the record for worst team in Europe. And are miles behind there biggest rivals." ‌ Peter Lyons, Blantyre, added: "Just to remind Mr Flett and Gowers that their club are MINNOWS in Europe as they continually play in the second division of Europe. Can I remind him how his team played in the big bhoys league?. Yup, worst team ever in the Champions League." Sean McGarvey said: "Are Rangers blowhards like Allan Flett and Donald Dundas aware of the analogy of crabs in a bucket? The two of them couldn't spell Champions League yet try to lump the world's most successful club, their country's champions into the same boat as them. "Crabs in a bucket try to drag the successful crab that's escaped down to the rest of the crabs level. Ring any bells?" Hearts are the shortest price they've been in years to win the title at 16/1 and belief is palpable down Gorgie Way that something special is brewing. Ellis Wilson, Morningside, said: "I genuinely think we are going to split the gruesome twosome from Glasgow this season. Claudio Braga is a proper talent and you can tell Derek McInnes is itching to prove everyone wrong. I think we'll start fast and if Tony Bloom can conjure up some more transfer magic in January then I see no reason why the Jambos won't be in the mix until the very end."

Paul Gascoigne 'rushed to intensive care unit' after collapsing at home

Former Rangers star Paul Gascoigne was rushed to intensive care after being found collapsed at his home by a friend. The 58-year-old is now reportedly in a stable condition and recovering. The Ibrox and England legend was discovered in a semi-conscious state by a friend on Friday night at his residence in Poole, Dorset, before being whisked off to an intensive care unit. Gascoigne has since been moved to an acute medical unit, and his close mate Steve Foster has relayed a message from those supporting him. He stated: "[Gazza would] like to thank everyone for the support he's received so far from so many old friends who wish him well and want to see him back to his best". He further added: "Paul is in hospital, which is the best possible place for him to be right now." The football icon, who has grappled with numerous health and personal issues in recent years, made a triumphant return to the pitch in Light Blue during a charity match, where Rangers fans gave him a thunderous reception after he scored, reports the Daily Record. Now, the football hero faces a new challenge off the pitch. Gascoigne, one of England's most talented and unpredictable footballers, left an indelible mark on Scottish football during his tenure with Rangers from 1995 to 1998. Signed from Lazio for £4.3 million, Gascoigne quickly endeared himself to the Ibrox faithful with his skill and determination. In his first season, Gascoigne played a pivotal role in Rangers clinching their eighth consecutive league title, netting an unforgettable hat-trick against Aberdeen to secure the championship. That same season, he was honoured as both PFA Scotland Players' Player of the Year and SFWA Footballer of the Year. Despite his Glasgow tenure being marked by controversy, including notable incidents on and off the pitch, Gascoigne's footballing genius frequently outshone the turmoil. He aided Rangers in winning two league titles, a Scottish Cup, and a League Cup before bidding farewell in 1998.

Dolce & Gabbana's Relaunched Their Iconic Light Blue Perfume for 2025

There are perfumes… and then there are perfumes. Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Eau de Toilette has always belonged to the latter camp—a scent that smells like sunshine, sexy glances, and sea spray. So, when the brand decided to revamp the iconic formula back in June? Baby, it was more than a news flash—it was a moment. Which is exactly why I found myself in Capri, Italy (I know, poor me) for a 72-hour Mediterranean getaway that doubled as the ultimate fragrance fête. We're talking yacht parties on the Amalfi Coast, pasta-and-pizza-fueled dinners, and copious amounts of dancing under the stars. The new faces of the fragrance—supermodel Vittoria Ceretti and White Lotus actor-slash-heartthrob Theo James—were there too. But beyond the glamorous setting and the glittering guest list, this relaunch marks a major shift for the brand. Dolce & Gabbana Beauty is stepping boldly into its next era—honoring Light Blue's beloved DNA while making it richer, sexier, and more modern. It's not just about smelling good anymore—it's about feeling unforgettable. And whether you've been riding with Light Blue since its OG days (it launched back in 2001) or are just now getting acquainted, trust me when I say: you're going to want to know what's new. So let's break it down! Here are the five things you absolutely need to know about the relaunch of Light Blue Eau de Parfum: 1. It's deeper, but still be real: the original Light Blue is iconic for a reason. That crisp lemon-meets-green-apple top note combo? Chef's kiss. But the eau de parfum relaunch turns the volume way up while still honoring the fresh DNA we all know and love. This time around, perfumer Olivier Cresp added creamy ambrette seed and a musky, woodsy base that lingers. Plus, D&G has also launched Capri In Love, a new eau de parfum—one for men and one for women —to further underscore this new chapter of scent for the house. It's a spicy floral with notes of jasmine tea and apple that was crafted by Emilie Copperman. The bottles are beyond beautiful with an iconic blue majolica print. Just stunning! 2. Vittoria Ceretti is the Ceretti looks like a Mediterranean dream in the campaign, rocking a white-hot bikini, hair slicked back, and skin glowing. She embodies that effortless, radiant energy Light Blue is known for—modern, magnetic, and completely unforgettable. It's crazy to think she wasn't always a perfume girlie. 'I'd wear it once or for like an evening, but now it's become part of my beauty routine,' Vittoria told Harper's Bazaar. Glad this new scent is turning the tide for her. 3. Theo James = ladies, gents, and everyone in between—that Theo. The actor (and resident hottie) steps into the role of the face of new Light Blue Pour Homme, and he's bringing the heat. The campaign leans into that classic Dolce & Gabbana masculinity that model David Gandy held down for so long: rugged, sun-tanned, irresistibly moody. But Theo also adds a softness—like he's the type of dude who smells amazing and remembers your favorite flowers are hydrangeas. He told Elle that he definitely did a bit of work to get ready for this iconic moment. 'I did not eat much pasta. I'm not a spring chicken, so I vaguely keep in shape. But there's a difference between vaguely keeping your shape and then suddenly wearing tiny white pants in front of 100 people filming you. But that's part of that job.' Ugh. Marry me. 4. It's designed to of the most exciting upgrades? Longevity. Let's face it—sometimes citrusy fragrances fade by lunch. But this new version is built for all-day wear, thanks to its richer base and smart reformulation. Think a single spritz in the morning that still turns a head to two at happy hour. It's wearable for everything from breezy beach days to rooftop dinner dates. Translation: She works overtime. 5. The bottle is classic, with a frosted glass bottle we all recognize has been zhuzhed up. The shape remains the same—thank goodness—but the accents are sleeker, with polished silver detailing and a deeper blue cap that nods to the fragrance's new richness. It's the kind of bottle you want to display, not stash. Like a little piece of Capri on your vanity. Chic, timeless, and so, so photogenic. My bottle reminds me every day that I need to manifest another trip back to that magical place! Julee Wilson is Beauty Editor at Large at Cosmopolitan.
