'Tyre Punctured, Mud Splattered': Bengaluru Doctor Rages After Her 'Lawfully' Parked Car Vandalised
A Bengaluru-based doctor took to X, saying her car was vandalised despite being parked inside a permitted zone. She also shared a picture of mud splattered on her windshield. A Bengaluru-based doctor took to X (formerly Twitter), saying her car was vandalised despite being parked inside a permitted zone. She shared a picture of how her car's windshield was smeared with car despite being 'lawfully parked" and highlighted the city's parking problems. 'Which other country lets you skip building a parking spot, add an extra room instead, claim public road as your personal parking, and grants you divine rights to vandalise any car 'lawfully' parked there?" she said in her post. 'Tyre punctured, car scratched, a threat to damage car with a stick and now mud spattered over windshield, seen it all over the years, for parking in a legally permitted parking spot on a public road," the doctor added. 'Hoping to get some video footage of the 'entitled' violator from the dash cam and share here soon!" Which other country lets you skip building a parking spot, add an extra room instead, claim public road as your personal parking, and grants you divine rights to vandalise any car 'lawfully' parked there? @peakbengaluru moments 👇🏻Tyre punctured, car scratched, a threat to… — WabiSabi (@Geeky_Foodie) August 7, 2025 In the comment section, the doctor said her vehicle was vandalised when she was away from the parking lot, adding that her other car was vandalised numerous times despite being parked in a permitted zone. 'People should build houses in a way that permits them to have private parking for their private vehicle but no one wants to waste any square feet of personal property when public road is theirs to claim," she said in reply to a user. The doctor's post quickly caught the attention of several users, who expressed concern for her and advised her to file a complaint. 'So sad to see this. Disgusting. How ppl claim entitlement when none exists. And these are so called 'educated' people. Strong law enforcement needed," a user wrote. 'Requesting @BlrCityPolice to take this issue up themselves along with the right city authorities. Entitled homeowners equipped with traffic cones, flower pots and other barricades have to be re-educated and taken to task for claiming public property," another user said. A third person commented, 'There is no parking within the plan of 99 percent of independent houses …public should prefer apartment to live where the parking is atleast taken care of , without fearing damage or theft to the vehicle …the road infront of the house doesn't belong to the owner of the house! (sic)" 'Entitled people here think the public space in front of their house is their private space. Lot of houses have stones placed on the footpath. Some even have sunshade for their cars parked on footpath/road," another netizen replied. view comments First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
