Megan and Conor managed to rekindle their connection after the Irish stunner re-entered the villa for a second time this series.
In a telling move, Conor failed to acknowledge or thank his villa partner Megan in his post-villa social media message.
Taking to Instagram after being booted and just moments before the final, Conor wrote: "The craziest 8 weeks of my life. Thank you so much for all the support.
"Hope I did all you guys proud, especially my Irish people."
Conor went on to share a series of snaps with his fellow axed Islanders but failed to post a photo with Megan.
He further congratulated winners Toni and Cach in another social media snub to Megan.
Viewers watching along at home were also left trying to spot them together in the audience with many claiming they could not be seen - fuelling further speculation that the pair could have secretly split over the weekend.
One fan wrote online: "I havent seen Conor and Megan together all night!!"
As another added: "Anyone spotted that Conor and Megan were sat apart?!"
Elsewhere, when Megan was brought up to the sofa to be interviewed by Maya, she was not joined by Conor.
Love Island champs Toni and Cach reveal how they'll spend £50k winnings as they beat Shakira and Harry
Fellow couples Tommy and Lucy and Ben and Andrada were featured together in the segment.
Megan and Conor were dumped from the villa just days before the final after failing to be voted as one of the most compatible couples in the villa.
Following their show axe, fans noticed how Megan and Conor did also tellingly not return for the show's final vote - which resulted in the axe of Dejon and Meg.
On Sunday night, 18 former Islanders returned to the villa to vote out one couple from the new bottom two, which comprised of Angel & Ty and Meg & Dejon.
Fans quickly noticed the couple's absence and questioned why they did not take part despite still being in Spain and appearing on After Sun.
The Sun can now reveal the real reason why Megan and Conor were absent from casting a vote with the other Islanders.
"They were dumped as part of the public vote that also decided who was in the bottom two couples - so it wouldn't have been fair to let them vote," a source told the The Sun.
"The vote was only for people who had been axed in previous dumpings, not the current one."

Swansea boss reveals Snopp Dogg and Luka Modric's influence on club
Swansea City boss Alan Sheehan has described the significant 'buzz' and commercial benefits since American rapper Snoop Dogg became a co-owner of the Championship club. Snoop Dogg joined the ownership group last month, which also includes Croatian midfield great Luka Modric, who came on board in April. Sheehan emphasised that the celebrity involvement helps Swansea become more appealing commercially and build strong foundations for the future. The club is drawing comparisons to Wrexham, owned by Hollywood actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, with a docu-series about Swansea reportedly in development. Modric, who recently concluded his Real Madrid career, has actively contributed to Swansea's summer recruitment by speaking with potential new players.

Groove Armada's Andy Cato says farming needs to be 'cool'
Andy Cato, DJ and one half of electronic music group Groove Armada, has told the BBC he is doing his best to make farming "cool" as he promotes regenerative practices as the tenant of a National Trust the farm on the Wiltshire-Oxfordshire border he said: "We need to live in a world where farming and food is cool and aspirational."Cato's style of farming involves trying to reverse biodiversity loss while still growing food and making it economically said it has not come without problems, calling over a decade of farming in France prior to the current farm a "humbling" experience. "There are a lot of days when I think I'm just going to play records on the beach in Ibiza, someone else can sort this out"What keeps me going is that we have a solution here to so many of the existing problems that we face - from health, to climate, to biodiversity. Once you've seen its potential, you can't really walk away from it," he farming aims to reintroduce microbes, nutrients and carbon back into the way of doing this includes planting different crops side by side and also sewing "cover" crops, which protect the soil between harvests to retain organic content. The star's journey into farming started when he was coming back from a gig and was handed a leaflet discussing the modern food going down a "rabbit hole" Cato took a big risk - selling his music publishing rights and bought a farm in France."Everything went completely wrong - a very humbling experience. {It was} a decade and a half long, often a quite painful journey of experimentation."It left an indelible mark not only on how hard farming is, but how lonely it is," he said adding that there are big decisions to made with just one opportunity a year to "set your course". Cato has now created a group of regenerative farmers called explained there is often a thought that "if you want more nature, you need less food", but does not see that this has to be case."We live in a world where it's a £7 pint and a £1 loaf - why are we valuing those things so differently?" Despite the challenges, Cato said: "There's no more fulfilling, exciting or intellectually challenging way to spend your time than combining nature and food production."That is after he has spent much of his life "standing on some of the worlds biggest stages and having a great time".

Love Island's Shakira calls Harry a 'cockroach' after rollercoaster romance
Love Island's Shakira and Harry came second in the final on Monday night, despite their tumultuous romance in the villa, with the star jokingly hitting out at him in a new post Love Island only just ended on Monday night, with Toni and Cach coming out on top as winners after a tough few weeks. Shakira and Harry were runners-up and Yas and Jamie came in third place, much to the delight of fans at home who insisted they 'voted for the right people'. Shakira and Harry had a tumultuous time in the villa, with the two gravitating towards each other before his head was turned by Helena. However, they soon found their way back to each other and quickly became a fan-favourite couple despite his 'bad boy' antics that resulted in many rows. While he insisted he would gladly move to Burnley to be with the gorgeous star, some fear their romance might already be on the rocks after she shared a snap of Harry as a cockroach. It comes after reports of all the celebrities rumoured to be joining BBC Strictly Come Dancing 2025. On her Instagram Stories, she re-posted a meme made by Love Island, which featured two cartoon cockroaches with Harrison ad Harry's heads superimposed onto it, with a first prize medal on Harrison and a second place medal on Harry. The edit comes after Shakira cried about them in an emotional moment in the villa. The moment was shared in the same cockroach post and saw her in tears as she yelled out: "That absolute little ant. Like, he stood up there a f***ing cockroach and cockroach number two's stood next to him," referring to Harry. Shakira shared the picture of the cockroaches and joked: "Second place suits you." In the original post, which was shared two weeks ago, fans rushed to side with Shakira. "We are with you Shakira," one person wrote, and another posted: "Toni and Shakira are the best couple in there." One fan commented: "I wish she knew how loved she is on the outside!!!!" During the live final, host Maya Jama wasted no time in telling runners-up Shakira and Harry what she really thought of their romance. The presenter gave her true thoughts on the pair, having called out Harry for his behaviour towards Helena and others in a previous episode. Harry shared his shock though, as Maya admitted this time it felt different between them. Having seen clips of them together for the final week and the final day, she said watching them she could see it was genuine. She shared: "Well you both look very happy with each other. It's nice to see you two together in the final. "You both look really... I dunno. The last couple of days I've been watching you like, this is cute. This is cute."
