The 2027 quarterback was one of the nice surprises of camp and won the accuracy challenge for underclassmen. Abrams throws the ball well in and out of pocket which makes him a fit in a variety of schemes. There is a ton of upside in his game. The sky is the limit if he improves his consistency.

Alabama, Iowa State, Minnesota and Tennessee are just some of the programs in the mix for him.
Bernhard was probably the biggest quarterback in attendance standing at 6-foot-5, 210 pounds. He has a dream frame but there are questions with his game. The three-star prospect struggled with accuracy and throwing on the move. He's got a big arm when he rips it. Bernhard is still developing and will likely land somewhere that he can sit for three years or so before hitting a college field.
Cherry was the only prospect at the camp to get an automatic invite to the Elite 11 Finals in California. He has a nice game and some swagger to him that you like to see at the position. He was steady, making all the throws with accuracy.

It'll be very interesting to see what new programs come in on the Louisville commit. That staff does a great job of identifying and developing quarterbacks and they've found another one.

The Michigan State commit had perhaps the best day of anyone at the camp. Going into the event I knew this setting might not be the best for him because he's at his best when able to improvise and make plays out of the pocket.
But Coffman more than held his own in standard passing drills. He's got a strong and accurate arm that was on display all camp. He did shine during the off platform and RPO drills as expected.

The Spartans have a steal and other programs are going to take notice.

Physically, the 2027 Ohio State commit looks like he could be on a college sideline right now. He's well built and will likely get bigger because he's so young. The future Buckeye has a big arm that allows him to fit the ball into tight spots with ease.
Edmunds wasn't the most comfortable throwing on the run but there is plenty of time to iron out that part of his game. It's easy to see why Ryan Day took Edmunds' commitment early.

The California native made the trip to Ohio to compete in the event and had a good showing. Herrera has good size and athleticism that will bring something a little different to the Iowa offense.

He threw the ball well all camp and I was impressed with his intermediate and deep passes. The relationship with Tim Lester and the future of the Hawkeyes' offense drew him to Iowa.

The Pickerington (Ohio) North prospect was one of the most intriguing players in attendance. He's a former Wisconsin commit and the program seems to have parted ways with him. There are some consistency issues but when things are going well he looks great. He had one of the strongest arms at the camp and the ball jumps out of his hand.
If it all comes together he could be a big-time player down the line. He may start his career at a program such as Buffalo or Coastal Carolina but file his name away for later.
The Northwestern quarterback commit has some nice tools to work with. I like his size at 6-foot-2, 190 pounds. He's still growing into his body and should be really well built after being in a Big Ten strength program.

When the lefty is in rhythm he throws the ball well. His accuracy can get away from him though. He's a developmental player at this point but is going to a good situation to not be rushed onto the field.

The Indiana native surprised many when he committed to Toledo last May. He's held firm in that commitment and is excited about his future there. He had another solid day throwing the football. Polston is very comfortable in the RPO game making quick reads.
There will be a lot of interest in how he starts his career and develops at Toledo.

WATCH: Former Ohio State player throws out first pitch at Detroit Tigers game

Now that the NFL draft is over and the first-timers that were selected have gone through rookie minicamp, the entire rosters of NFL teams can get on with the status quo of starting to get other camping opportunities underway, all leading up to fall camp and the start of the season. Former Ohio State defensive tackle Tyleik Williams was one of the 14 Ohio State football players taken in this year's draft, and he landed in an uncomfortable spot if you will, up in Michigan with the Detroit Lions when they selected him with the No. 28 pick in the first round. He isn't the first -- nor will he be the last -- former Buckeye to play his professional ball at TSUN (Chris Spielman anyone), but he'll have to make a good impression or perhaps face the wrath of those who loved to root against him in college. Advertisement One way to do that is to make the rounds in the community, and Williams was doing just that over this past weekend by not only attending a Detroit Tigers baseball game but by throwing out the first pitch. It wasn't a seed thrown to the plate, but rather a smooth and soft delivery that at least won't get any viral moments, though it was a bit high. If you haven't seen Williams' first pitch against the Cubs on Sunday, get a look here thanks to the Detroit Tigers' "X" (formerly Twitter) account. There are several former Buckeyes getting comfortable in their new environments and cities in the NFL, and as more of these moments are made available, we'll continue to bring them to you. Rivals Camp Series: The five best QBs of the 2025 regionals

Jeff McCulloch/ The regional stops of the Rivals Camp Series is in the books with the Rivals Five-Star at the Indianapolis Colts' practice facility coming up later this month. Today, we look at the best players at each position through the regional events starting with quarterback. Advertisement RIVALS CAMP SERIES: Rivals Five-Star heading back to Indy | Rivals Five-Star roster | Schedule/info CLASS OF 2026 RANKINGS: Rivals250 | Team | Position | State CLASS OF 2027 RANKINGS: Rivals250 | Team | Position | State TRANSFER PORTAL: Full coverage | Player ranking | Team ranking | Transfer search | Transfer Tracker PEYTON HOUSTON - Dallas Houston showed in Dallas that he has all the traits of an elite quarterback and it's why USC has made him its top priority in the 2027 class and many others, including Oklahoma, Georgia, Texas, Texas A&M and LSU, are staying involved. The Shreveport (La.) Evangel Christian high four-star is not the biggest quarterback in the world but that's what everyone said about Kyler Murray, Bryce Young and so many others. In today's game, quarterback height is less important than ever before. Houston is a playmaker and even if a camp setting isn't the best for him, the four-star still delivered in a major way. TEDDY JARRARD - Atlanta Over the last few days, Jarrard has visited Purdue, Notre Dame and Clemson and heading into the Atlanta camp he had received offers from Georgia and Ohio State as the 2027 four-star from Kennesaw (Ga.) North Cobb is one of the hottest quarterbacks in the entire country. Advertisement The ball pops off Jarrard's hand. He has velocity, timing and everything else to back up all the attention he's received on the recruiting trail. The Atlanta Camp was loaded at quarterback and even though Jarrard didn't win the MVP award, he was definitely impressive and one of the best QBs at any Rivals regional camp. JAYCE JOHNSON - Atlanta Jeff McCulloch/ To beat out Teddy Jarrard, North Carolina commit Travis Burgess, Mississippi State pledge Brodie McWhorter and others for the MVP award, Johnson had a phenomenal performance at the Atlanta camp which was one of many this offseason. The 2027 four-star quarterback from Valdosta (Ga.) Lowndes was sharp, showed off great arm talent, had a clean motion throughout the event and then seemed to get better and better throughout the camp. It was a close race at the top but Johnson edged out some other elite quarterbacks. RYDER LYONS - Los Angeles The five-star quarterback was fantastic as always at the Los Angeles stop and what's even more impressive is that a camp setting is not where Lyons does his best work. Advertisement The Folsom, Calif., standout sat in the pocket and zipped passes all over the field. He knows when to dial it back a little bit and has such an unreal feel for receivers and immediately having chemistry with them. Lyons is best when he can freelance a little bit, escape pressure and make magic happen and that's not a camp setting but he was still great. Oregon, BYU, Michigan and others continue after him. JAYDEN WADE - Los Angeles Jeff McCulloch/ It's hard to believe that Wade is a 2028 prospect because he has all the tools and is physically developed enough that it wouldn't be a shock to anyone if he reclassified because he doesn't need three more high school seasons. Advertisement He's now the guy at Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy and he should shine because he is a special prospect who will clearly be under five-star consideration. Wade was arguably the best quarterback at the loaded Los Angeles event, which is always so deep at the position. Even still, the 2028 prospect stood out. He has the total package from decision-making to arm talent and beyond. Oregon, Texas and others have already made an impression.
