Fahadh Faasil wants to drive taxi in Barcelona after quitting films? Actor reveals his retirement plan
Fahadh Faasil stands by his retirement dream of driving people in Spain
The Vikram actor expressed that he recently visited Barcelona and still thinks of becoming a cab driver there. Fahadh Faasil said, 'Yeah, yeah. Of course. We were in Barcelona a few months back. I still very much think about it. I think that'll only happen once people are done with me, you know?'
Further, Fahadh added, 'Jokes aside, but just the idea of driving someone from one place to another, I think that's a beautiful thing. At least you're witnessing someone's destination.'
The actor mentioned that he loves driving, and whenever he gets a chance, he takes out his car and drives. 'And I still do that, every time I get a chance to drive, I drive. There, here, everywhere. Whenever I get the chance, I take the wheel. It's something I still enjoy a lot. That's my time for myself. And it's really good for thinking while driving,' the actor highlighted.
When Fahadh Faasil first opened up about his post-retirement dream
Back in 2020, while promoting CU Soon, Fahadh Faasil had spilled the beans on his post-retirement career. He had also mentioned that his wife loved the idea of him driving people in Spain. 'As of now, there is nothing else that I would enjoy doing other than being an Uber driver. I would love to drive people around. I tell my wife that, as a retirement plan, I wish to move to Barcelona and drive people across Spain. She loves this plan,' said FaFa in a conversation with The Indian Express.
On the work front, the Malayalam actor is gearing up for the release of Maareesan, co-starring Vadivelu. Directed by Sudheesh Sankar, the Tamil-language comedy thriller is set to hit the cinemas on July 25.

Saiyaara box office: Ahaan Panday-Aneet Padda starrer crushes Vicky Kaushal-Rashmika Mandanna's Chhaava - here's how
Saiyaara is still going super strong in Nepal and is expected to rake in more moolah in the coming days read more Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda starrer Saiyaara, which has turned out to be a phenomenon at the Indian box office, has even surprised fans and experts with its blockbuster response in the international circuits. It has turned out to be the highest grosser of 2025 for Bollywood in Nepal with 6.62 Crore NPR gross (4.14 CR INR), beating Housefull 5 — 4.92 crore (3.1 cr INR), Sitare Zameen Par — 3.22 crore (2 cr INR) and even Chhaava — 2.20 crore (1.4 cr INR). STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD It is quite heartening to see a film featuring faces surpassing the business of franchise and big stars in a country due to its emotional storyline and music, which has struck a chord with the audience. _Saiyaara_ is still going super strong in Nepal and is expected to rake in more moolah in the coming days. Despite not going all out with the promotions, Saiyaara garnered unprecedented excitement among the cinegoers. Before the release of the movie, director Mohit Suri spoke about it and told Firstpost, 'I've been inside the studio for the last one month. I have no idea. And unlike the past when people travel from one studio to another, this is everything inhouse at YRF. So I haven't really gone out and met the world outside. Normally, when you are working on other films, you go out for the day; for sound, edit, and VFX. It was different different places. And just hearing it now, it does feel it does feel very redeeming and validating because when I started off this film, I was quite discouraged by a lot of senior people saying that nobody would be interested in a young love story. Because at that time, larger-than-life films were being made and I just thought that my voice would be lost there when everyone was shouting. So I just went and tried to make a film which is very different from what others were doing. And to me, the fact that people are appreciating that the difference that it's standing out means a lot.'

Last Updated: Bollywood actress Isha Koppikar shared a story from her second film, Chandralekha, where she asked co-star Nagarjuna to slap her for real to capture genuine anger. Ating can be a tough gig, especially when you're taking real slaps for the sake of art! Isha Koppikar recently took us down memory lane, sharing a rather painful story from one of her earliest films, Chandralekha. While chatting with Hindi Rush, the actor revealed that during the shoot, she asked her co-star Nagarjuna to slap her for real. And, well… he ended up doing it 14 times! 'I got slapped by Nagarjuna," Isha said, laughing about it now. 'I was a fully committed actor that I want to perform in a real, method way. So when he was slapping me, I couldn't feel it. This was my second film, so I told him, 'Nag, you really slap me.' He said, 'Are you sure? No, I can't.' I said, 'I want that feeling. I am not feeling it right now.' So he slapped me, but softly." But that wasn't enough for the camera or her director who still couldn't catch the right expression of rage on Isha's face. So, what followed was an unexpected slap marathon. 'In an attempt to look angry, I got slapped 14 times. At the end, I literally had slap marks on my face," she added. 'Bechara mujhe leke baitha, bola sorry. I said, 'I asked for it, why are you saying sorry?'" Chandralekha, a remake of the Malayalam film by Priyadarshan, marked Isha's debut as a lead actor in Telugu cinema. The Krishna Vamsi directorial also starred Ramya Krishnan, Murali Mohan, and Tanikella Bharani alongside Nagarjuna. Now more selective about her roles, Isha was last seen in the 2024 sci-fi adventure Ayalaan with Sivakarthikeyan and Rakul Preet Singh.
