A former RAF intelligence analyst from King's Lynn has been selected for the Invictus Games.
Peter Lauder, 45, will represent Team UK at the international adaptive multi-sport event in Canada in February.
Mr Lauder, who served in Kosovo, Iraq, and Afghanistan, was diagnosed with a fractured necro of the femur, a severe hip injury, and underwent a hip replacement in 2020.
The surgery resulted in nerve damage, loss of feeling, and one leg being shorter than the other.
He will compete in indoor rowing, wheelchair rugby, and sitting volleyball.

Mr Lauder said: 'I play wheelchair rugby league with two ex-Invictus Games competitors, and they actually encouraged me to re-apply this year, given the positive experiences they'd recently had at the Games.
"They told me I need this after all that's been going on with my injury and personal life these past few months.
"After going back and forth on it, I decided to apply."
The Invictus Games were established in 2014 by Prince Harry for wounded, injured, and sick servicemen and women, both serving and veterans, to participate in as part of their recovery journey.

Mr Lauder said: 'It's been a brilliant way to get back into the sports I love and to compete at a national level for Team UK.
"I've been able to connect with like-minded people from a military background and do something for myself and although there is a lot I still cannot do; I have discovered there is a lot I can do through sport.
'It won't be about the medals for me, it will be about enjoying the experience.
"If I can bring back learnings from the Games and try get more adaptive sports happening in Norfolk that'll be a bonus.'
The Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025 will take place from February 8 to 16.

‘One to watch': Mail journo confirms 24/25 UCL winner ‘has been offered' to United
Numerous Premier League clubs are in the market for a prolific goalscorer this summer, making Manchester United's search considerably more difficult. Indeed, the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool – if Darwin Nunez is sold – and Chelsea are all in pursuit of a new frontman, with the latter beating United to the signing of Ipswich Town's Liam Delap this week. Advertisement The England U21 international had been deemed INEOS' first-choice to lead Ruben Amorim's line next season, but the side's failure to qualify for Champions League football scuppered their pursuit. Which strikers are available this summer? Nonetheless, there are options available for United to now turn their attention to, albeit they are few and far between. They remain linked with Napoli wantaway Victor Osimhen and ex-Amorim protegee Viktor Gyokeres, although he could well be on the move to the Gunners if Sporting Lisbon's £60 million+ demands are met. According to Mail Sport's Nathan Salt, the Reds 'have been offered' a surprise candidate in the form of Goncalo Ramos. United presented opportunity to revive Goncalo Ramos interest United were interested in Goncalo Ramos two years ago. (Photo by) Prior to his Paris Saint-Germain switch in 2023, initially on loan before it became a permanent deal for £54.6m, Ramos had been a concrete name on United's shortlist before they ultimately pursued Rasmus Hojlund, who set them back £64m when he signed from Atalanta. Advertisement Ramos' tenure at the Parc des Princes hasn't played out the way he'd hoped, though, even if he does now have a Champions League, two Ligue 1 titles and a host of other silverware to his name. He has hugely struggled to cement his place in Luis Enrique's plans. In the attacker's maiden season, he made 40 appearances with 21 coming from the off, and returned 14 goals and two assists. In 2024/2025, Ramos' sophomore campaign in France, his starts were reduced to just 16 in all competitions. He did, however, notch an improved 18 goals and six assists. Whether United will take up the intermediaries on their proposal to bid for Ramos remains to be seen. It'll also depend on whether the 23-year-old is willing to spend a year outside of Europe while adjusting to the demands of the English top flight. Advertisement For now, Salt claims the deal is 'one to watch'. Rugby league legend Mal Meninga set to be inaugural coach of NRL expansion club Perth
BRISBANE, Australia (AP) — The National Rugby League's newest team will have one of its oldest coaches when it begins play in 2027. Australia head coach and ex-Kangaroos and Queensland Origin star Mal Meninga was unveiled Friday as the Perth Bears ' inaugural head coach. The 64-year-old Meninga signed a three-year contract with the new franchise, meaning he could be 69 when his contract expires in 2030. NRL coaching great Wayne Bennett — now in charge at the South Sydney Rabitohs — is the oldest coach at the sport's elite level at 75. Craig Bellamy, who is 65, confirmed this week that he will continue coaching the Melbourne Storm into his 24th consecutive year next season. Meninga is one of the most decorated players and coaches in rugby league history, having coached Canberra (1997-2001) and Queensland (2006-2015) after playing 46 test and World Cup matches for Australia's Kangaroos, 32 State of Origin matches for Queensland and captaining the Raiders to three national titles. Before becoming Kangaroos coach in 2016, Meninga led the Queensland Maroons to their most successful period in Origin history, winning nine of his 10 series in charge. Meninga will relinquish his Australia national team coaching duties later this year in order to have 18 months to begin putting together the Bears' initial lineup of players. 'This is bigger than me,' Meninga said Friday. 'This new pioneering venture over to WA (Western Australia) and the opportunity to be involved in the growth of the game, to grow a club — the Perth Bears — is too good to refuse. I feel very honored, very nervous, and I think it's a huge responsibility.' The sport's premier competition originated in Sydney but has expanded to include a team in New Zealand, a team in the Australian capital, Canberra, a team in the Victoria state capital, Melbourne, and four teams in Queensland state. Perth Bears will enter the NRL from Australia's west coast before a team from rugby league-mad neighboring Pacific country Papua New Guinea, which is due to join in 2028 and make it a 19-team competition. The league's ambition is a 20-team format.
