Jessie J 'so grateful for the love and support' after breast cancer diagnosis

Jessie J has thanked her fans for their outpouring of "love and support" following her breast cancer diagnosis. The 37-year-old pop star went public with her health issues earlier this week revealing she is battling an "early" form of the disease and is currently undergoing tests before surgery later in the year - and she now has expressed her gratitude to everyone who has reached out to her since she explained her situation. In a post on Instagram, she wrote: "So grateful for all the love and support and kindness from everyone who has reached out to me in the last two days." Jessie - who is mother to two-year-old son Sky with basketball star Chanan Colman - previously revealed she was given the diagnosis prior to the release of her single, 'New Secrets' on April 25 and she has been "in and out of tests" since. She said in an Instagram video: "Before 'No Secrets' came out, I was diagnosed with early breast cancer. I'm highlighting the word 'early'. "Cancer sucks in any form but I'm holding onto the word early. I have been in and out of tests throughout this whole period." Jessie went "back and forth" with herself about whether she should share her news, due to there being "lots of opinions outside". However, the 'Who You Are' singer felt she should tell all, particularly because of the name of her latest single, 'No Secrets', which was inspired by a miscarriage she had in 2021. She said: "To get diagnosed with this, as I'm putting out a song called 'No Secrets' right before a song called 'Living My Best Life,' which was all pre-planned before I found out about this, I mean you can't make it up. "I just wanted to be open and share it - one, because, selfishly, I do not talk about it enough. "I'm not processing it because I'm working so hard. I also know how much sharing in the past has helped me, with other people giving me their love and support and also their own stories. "I'm an open book. It breaks my heart that so many people are going through so much, similar and worse. That's the bit that kills me." Jessie is still planning to perform at this year's Capital Summertime Ball on June 15 at London's Wembley Stadium, but afterwards she will undergo surgery and "disappear for a bit". She said: "It wasn't something I'd planned, but yeah. I'm getting to keep my nipples, that's good. It's a weird topic and a weird situation. "I am going to disappear for a bit after Summertime Ball to have my surgery, and I will come back with massive t*ts and more music." The 'Price Tag' hitmaker joked: "It's a very dramatic way to get a boob job."

TRUMP AND ELON DRAMA Elon Musk and Donald Trump have exploded back into headlines today. That's right, the political bromance of tech billionaire Elon Musk, and US President Donald Trump is over. But what on earth happened? Well, from Mr Trump's first day in office, Elon Musk had been a major player. But recently, the pair started butting heads over some policies, particularly this spending bill called the One Big Beautiful Act, and last week, Musk left his role at the White House. But things really escalated overnight after the President said this. Mr Musk started firing back on his social media platform, X. And then the President hopped on his social media platform and well, the fight of the century began. It's been a war of words that honestly you'd expect from more of a roast battle. And while plenty of people have the popcorn out, lots are also worried about what it'll mean for American politics, if this feud continues to escalate. SOCCEROOS The Socceroos are on the brink of qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup after a nail biting one-nil win last night. Japan dominated play for most of the match, until the very final minute when Aziz Behich scored this winning goal. It was his first Socceroos goal in 13 years and Australia's first win over Japan in 16 years. And as long as they avoid a heavy defeat in next week's game against Saudi Arabia, they're all but certain to qualify. PARA SPORT Now over to Darwin, where students living with disabilities are taking part in a program that's all about trying new sports and getting active. From golf, to wheelchair rugby, these kids in Darwin are discovering their new favourite sports. It's all part of a national program designed to encourage people living with disabilities to explore different sports, and this year more than 250 students took part. And Sam says events like this aren't just about getting active, they're about giving it a go, making friends and having a lot of fun at the same time. ROBOTS MOVING HOUSES First up, to a block of buildings on the move in China! 400 robotic feet lifted and moved them in sync. They're actually being moved back to their original location after making way for underground construction works. The robots moved the buildings, weighing 7-and-a-half thousand tonnes, at a rate of about 10 meters per day. SWITCH STAPLES Now to people around the world who have lined up for hours just to buy the new Nintendo Switch 2. But for some customers in the US, excitement quickly turned to disappointment, as reports of punctured screens appeared on social media. Turns out, because Nintendo packaged the Switch with its screen facing outwards, when game shop employees used staplers to staple receipts to the front of boxes. A whole bunch of console screens were left damaged. One shop has already offered to replace them, adding staplers have been confiscated. STANLEY PUP And finally, if you've ever wanted to watch dogs play hockey, this is the closest you're gonna get. The world's first Stanley Pup, a play off the famous Stanley Cup hockey championship, features rescue dogs who are all up for adoption. ‘Accidents happen': Fans in hysterics over Cotton On jeans

A pair of jeans from Cotton On are going viral because of a questionable design detail that's been described as 'fart fashion' and compared to a bathroom mishap. It all began after TikTok user Adele shared a now-viral video, which has amassed 1.6 million views, showing herself browsing the denim section at a Cotton On store. The clip zooms in on a pair of blue jeans featuring brown stains across the front and back. Adele wrote over the clip, 'What was Cotton On thinking?' Her caption said, 'Someone had an accident', which quickly set the tone for thousands of comments. Jeans become butt of the joke One user joked that Cotton On was now selling pants that have been 'pre-sh*t' in, so you 'no longer need to sh*t them yourself'. Another person said they looked like 'quite the mess', one thought they were 'ew', and someone else declared 'they're so ugly'. Even Cotton On staff weighed in, with one admitting, 'as an employee … we also hate these jeans'. 'So you're telling me I could have accidentally slipped in mud, put my jeans on that pile, and get money for it?' another user asked, as a different person replied: 'Yes, because we absolutely want to look like we just had explosive diarrhoea in our jeans'. 'Run, don't walk … to the toilet,' another quipped. High fashion as inspo Crudeness aside, the jeans appear to be a budget-friendly 'dupe' of a high-end pair from cult label Acne Studios. The original, the Distressed Organic Mid-Rise Wide-Leg Jeans, retail for a staggering $1470 and is described by luxury retailer Net-a-Porter as 'intentional distressing … creating jeans that look as though they've been worn and loved for years'. Meanwhile, Cotton On's version, the Low Rise Straight Jean, is priced at $69.99, which is a fraction of the designer price tag. Fashion expert weighs in Fashion stylist Donny Galella told that it's not unusual for brands like Cotton On to offer affordable versions of premium designs. 'We are living in dupe culture world,' he said. 'Acne is definitely one of the world's hottest brands but given the cost of living crisis, many people don't have a spare $1400 laying around for a dirty looking pair of jeans. Especially for a 'trend' style pair of jeans that will have a short shelf life'. Mr Galella's advice is to 'invest that money into a more classic style pair of jeans that will be much more versatile and have a much longer shelf life'.
