Actor and Bigg Boss 18 winner Karan Veer Mehra was recently spotted outside Excel Entertainment's office, sparking speculation that he's being considered as the new antagonist opposite Ranveer Singh. This comes after reports confirmed that Vikrant Massey has officially exited the much-hyped action thriller.A source disclosed to IANS that while nothing is confirmed yet, Karan Veer Mehra is definitely on the radar. Meanwhile, fans are also abuzz about reports of major cameos in the film, including the possible return of Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra, who last shared screen space in Don 2 back in 2011.On the female lead front, the film also witnessed a shift. Kiara Advani, who was originally part of the project, has reportedly stepped away to prioritise her personal life following her pregnancy announcement. Taking her place is Kriti Sanon, as officially confirmed by Excel Entertainment.For Karan Veer Mehra, landing this role could mark a significant leap. Having started his career with Remix in 2004, Mehra gained popularity through shows like Pavitra Rishta and films such as Ragini MMS 2, Mere Dad Ki Maruti, and Blood Money. Parineeti-Raghav leave Kapil's shoot midway after politician's mother falls ill
Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha were all set to make their much-anticipated debut as a couple on 'The Great Indian Kapil Show'. However, according to reports, the shoot was abruptly cut short due to a medical emergency involving Raghav's reported by IANS, Raghav's mother, who was present on set, began to feel unwell during filming. She was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, prompting the couple to leave the shoot midway. The production team reportedly halted filming on was to be the first joint television appearance for Parineeti and Raghav since their wedding in 2024. When Shah Rukh Khan Wanted To Collaborate With OG Don Director Chandra Barot
New Delhi: Chandra Barot, the filmmaker behind the original Don featuring Amitabh Bachchan, died on Sunday. He was 86. His wife, Deepa Barot, confirmed the news to TOI and shared, 'He had been battling pulmonary fibrosis for the past seven years.' Chandra Barot will always be known as the OG Don director. Even Shah Rukh Khan, who played the lead in the reboot, had huge respect for him. Previously, SRK addressed the reboot talk and said he had once thought of doing Don with Chandra Barot himself, reported Times Now. In a Koffee With Karan episode, when Karan Johar asked, 'If you woke up one morning and realised that you had gone back to the 70s, you would…', SRK replied, 'I would make Don with Chandra Barot and quell all the controversies that happen now.' SRK led the franchise reboot with Don in 2006 and Don 2 in 2011, both directed by Farhan Akhtar. Now, Farhan is working on the third film, but this time Ranveer Singh is playing the lead role. Coming back to the 1978 film, it is considered a cult classic. Amitabh Bachchan is seen in a gripping double role, playing both the ruthless gangster Don and his lookalike Vijay. The film also features Zeenat Aman as Roma, Pran as Jasjit and Iftekhar as DSP D'Silva. Om Shivpuri, Satyen Kappu, P. Jairaj, Kamal Kapoor, Arpana Choudhary and Helen are also part of the project. While Don is undoubtedly Chandra Barot's most iconic directorial venture, his filmography includes other titles such as Aashrita, Pyar Bhara Dil, Hong Kong Wali Script and Neil Ko Pakadna... Impossible. Long before stepping into the director's chair, Chandra Barot had worked as an assistant director on some of Hindi cinema's notable works, including Purab Aur Pachhim, Yaadgaar, Shor and Roti Kapada Aur Makaan.
