'This season could've been an email': Euphoria season 3's 8-episode count after over 4-year wait has fans fuming

Euphoria season 3 has an *update* and honestly...it's as yawn-inducing as you'd anticipate it to be.
Being part of the Euphoria fandom feels the same as being ghosted by the man of your dreams who you are convinced is your soulmate. But like every good situationship worth its salt, the restlessness eventually fizzles out and all you're left with is rage (and eventually disinterest). And this seems to be the exact trajectory Euphoria season 3 seems to be treading.
Recent reports assert that the the third season, set to come in after over a 4-year wait, will only have 8 episodes. Safe to say, fans aren't mincing words.

Comments capturing the general sentiment read, "this season couldve been an email tbh", "These episodes better be 3 hours each if it took 4 years to make", "8 episodes ??? In 4 yrs ???", "It's sad to say but I'm honestly over it LMAOO. Like they should have just made a little follow up special to tie it up and called it a day at this point" and "Yea jus keep it. You had all this time and u came up wit only 8 episodes?" to quote a few.
While it's understandable the COVID-19 pandemic coupled with the skyrocketing careers of majority of the cast members (not to mention Sam Levinson's dumpster fire of a detour with Lily-Rose Depp and The Weeknd-starrer The Idol) created, what appears to be never-ending scheduling conflicts — fans aren't having any of the excuses anymore.
Euphoria debuted with its first season back in June 2019, with two pacifying specials following in December of the following year. Season 2 arrived 2 whole years later, in January of 2022, making for, honestly, not THAT bad a track record. But between 2022 and 2025, a 4-year waiting, further extended owing to cast member Angus Cloud's death, will see the third season, hopefully premiere next year, IF that.
Zendaya, who plays Rue Bennett, already wildly popular, cemented her spot as an all-rounder performer. Sydney Sweeney, who plays Cassie Howard, launched her Hollywood career landing an Emmy-nomination and kickstarting a very lucrative production gig on the side. Jacob Elordi, who plays Nate Jacobs, doubled down on his sensational status, landing some pretty key note projects, both mainstream and indie. And that's great for them. But for the fandom still stuck on the chaotic, whimsical cliff hanger for season 2 — 8 episodes just doesn't seem to be cutting it.
So will Euphoria season 3 manage to capitalise on the legacy of the show — or is this a lost cause when it comes to famring audience interest?

DD Next Level ending explained: Will Santhanam's Kissa 47 be able to save his family before the end credits roll?

The Santhanam-starrer DD Next Level made its OTT debut on ZEE5 and OTTplay Premium recently. The fourth part in the Dhilluku Dhuddu franchise, DD Next Level is a standalone film with a quirky premise. Directed by Prem Anand, the film revolves around a film critic, Kissa 47, who gets invited for a special screening along with his family. But a series of events makes him realise that he has gotten pulled into the film, which is directed by a ghost and failed director Hitchcock Iruthyaraj, who warns him that he only has time till the end credits to save himself and his family, who are now characters in the screenplay. Will Kissa 47 be able to save his family and come out of the big screen horror into reality? (Spoilers ahead) Watch DD Next Level and more Tamil horror comedies such as Ghosty, Hostel and all parts of Dhilluku Dhuddu on OTTplay Premium right now In each of the Dhilluku Dhuddu films, the protagonist gets stuck in a space that is haunted, with the rest of the film playing out to be an escape room format. With DD Next Level too, Santhanam's Kissa 47 is stuck, but here it's the screenplay of a film he is pulled into, setting the quirky tone. Further taking it to a meta-level, DD Next Level takes a dig at the film review culture while also questioning the tropes attached to the commercial cinema. When Kissa 47 and a fellow yellow journalist get mysteriously transported to a cruise, he meets his family members who do not seem to recognise him. His father is the cruise's captain, while his mother and sister have adopted a much more glamorous lifestyle and appearance as opposed to their real lives. But when a serial killer is on the loose, Kissa manages to ward him off, only for them to end up on a secluded island haunted by man-eaters. After a series of events and fantasy interventions, Kissa seems to be winning and the director's card also comes up, hinting that all seems to be going towards a happy climax. But it is at this time, the man-eaters come out once again, given Kissa 47 had saved his girlfriend from getting killed, thus overturning the fates of the man-eaters also. Towards the actual climax, with Kissa's family captured by the man-eaters, he must now kill them before the end credits roll, and for that, the only way is to defeat the villains. After a tough physical combat with the man-eaters, Kissa 47 races against time and the end credits to plot several traps to kill the antagonists. But with his smart choices and the typical heroism, Kissa 47 shoots the hero of the sequel, DSP Ragavan (Gautham Vasudev Menon spoofing Kamal Haasan's character from his Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu), thus putting an end to the film and breaking off the possibility of a sequel. He also, on a meta-level, talks to Iruthyaraj, that no matter whether the review is good or bad, it cannot determine a film's outcome and that good films will get celebrated no matter what. This convinces Hitchcock Iruthyaraj that Kissa 47 is the best reviewer to watch cinema and transports him out of the film, where he reunites with his family members who are unaware of what has happened. DD Next Level ends with Kissa 47 and his family coming out of the theatre, where he is surrounded by other reviewers who question him about how he got to watch the film. As he asks them to get to see the film themselves and be the first ones to review, Santhanam walks out of the theatre.

Something terrible to happen on July 5 in......., bone-chilling predictions made by Japanese Baba Vanga…

Something terrible to happen on July 5 in......., bone-chilling predictions made by Japanese Baba Vanga… It is a natural human trait to wonder what life may hold in the future. We all want to know the possibilities of how our lives may develop, what bumps or opportunities may happen down the road, or whether we will have any abrupt major calamities happen to us. The concept of being able to see even a small bit of what the future holds has fascinated mankind since humanity's beginning. There are also many others around the globe who claim to possess the ability to predict events in the future. One such person is Japan's Ryo Tatsuki. Japan's Ryo Tatsuki has made several predictions that have proven true over time. Notably, she had foreseen the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic well in advance. Due to her accurate predictions, she is often referred to as the 'Baba Vanga of Japan.' Ryo Tatsuki is an interesting Japanese manga artist who has prophetic dreams and began documenting them for those interested in the 1980s. These visions formed the basis of her 1999 manga, The Future I Saw—a collection of illustrated predictions. Many of them forecasted actual events: the Kobe earthquake of 1995, the Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami of 2011, and COVID‑19. In her 2021 book The Future I Saw, she cautioned that a disaster could occur in Japan on July 5, 2025. Some people dismiss these ideas, but Ryo has made correct predictions in the past–like the 2011 earthquake and tsunami in Japan–so there is cause for worry, and her warning is already causing concern. Ryo Tatsuki is no ordinary manga artist. She has made predictions based on her dreams. People began to take notice of her work when she wrote a warning in 1999 about a 'great disaster in March 2011', which paralleled the real March 11, 2011, Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami disaster that hit Japan, and which killed over 15,000 people, and caused the Fukushima nuclear crisis. The Future I Saw by Tatsuki is a strange cocktail of images, dreams, and glimpses of future possibilities. Each edition includes new 'visions' that have surprised readers with their accuracy. None of the reports of her past predictions seem coincidental, with strange major events aligning on the same timeline, especially deaths such as Princess Diana, Freddie Mercury, and even COVID-19, none of which had happened yet. For July 5 in the year 2025, she initially wrote that something terrible will happen in Japan. But given that she provided no details or location, the ambivalence of the warning makes it a point of great anxiety for people. In the 2021 edition of The Future I Saw, Ryo Tatsuki included a short but disturbing line: 'On July 5, 2025, a great catastrophe will happen in Japan.' No further elaboration was given. Due to the seriousness and concern for such a message, people on social media have been talking and worrying about this, especially considering numerous previous predictions have come to reality. The new predictions have captured the world's attention, once again highlighting this individual's predictions.
