5 Things To Keep In Your House To Attract Prosperity And Wealth As Per Vastu And Vedic Astrology
In Vedic traditions, the flow of energy in your home directly influences your finances, health, and overall harmony. Vastu Shastra, often called the yogic science of architecture, combines spatial placement with astrological alignment to invite prosperity. By keeping certain items in the right place, you can align your living space with the vibrations of abundance.
Prashant Kapoor, Celebrity Astrologer and Founder of AstroKapoor, shares five powerful things to keep in your home to attract wealth and positive energy:
1. Kuber Idol or Yantra in the North
Lord Kuber is the treasurer of the gods and a symbol of wealth. Placing a Kuber idol or Kuber Yantra in the North, the direction ruled by Kuber energizes the flow of money and supports wealth accumulation.
2. Flowing Water Feature in the Northeast
A small fountain or water bowl in the Northeast corner attracts opportunities and keeps financial energy circulating. Ensure the water is clean and flowing, as stagnant water can block growth.
3. Tulsi Plant in the East
The holy Tulsi plant not only purifies the air but is also considered a giver of prosperity when placed in the East or Northeast. In astrology, Tulsi strengthens Jupiter's blessings, bringing wisdom and abundance.
4. Citrine or Pyrite Crystals in the Cash Box
According to both astrology and Vastu, citrine and pyrite are 'merchant's stones" that enhance wealth luck. Keep them in your cash box, safe, or business ledger to magnetize money.
5. Grain Jar Filled with Whole Wheat in the Kitchen
A jar filled with whole grains in the kitchen symbolizes food security and financial stability. As per Vedic belief, it invokes Goddess Annapurna's blessings and ensures abundance in the household.

Cheetah travels from MPs Kuno to Rajasthan; brought back home
Agency: PTI Sheopur (MP), Aug 13 (PTI) A free-ranging female cheetah, Jwala, strayed from its home in Madhya Pradesh's Kuno National Park to neighbouring Rajasthan, about 100 km away, and has been rescued from there, officials said on Wednesday. The cheetah crossed the inter-state boundary, moving amidst a human-dominated landscape, during the day time on Monday, a Cheetah Project official said. Considering the safety of the animal and the people, a decision was taken to rescue the cheetah, the official said. 'On August 12, female cheetah Jwala was rescued from Kareera Kalan village in Sawaimadhopur district of Rajasthan, under challenging conditions. With an enormous crowd of onlookers, the cornered animal was rescued after darting," the official said. The animal had to be handled physically by the cheetah monitoring team, by pulling the goat kill made by the feline in an effort to confine it within an enclosure to prevent any conflict, the official said. After the successful rescue, the animal has been shifted to the Kuno National Park (KNP), the official said. The KNP management extends its gratitude to Rajasthan's police and forest department staff for their support in the operation, the official added. At present, the KNP has 26 cheetahs — 9 adults (6 females and 3 males) and 17 Indian born cubs. All are healthy and doing well, an official earlier said. Out of 26 cheetahs, 16 are roaming freely in the wild and they have adapted well to the national park's habitat, learnt to live with co-predators and are regularly hunting, the official added. In addition, two male cheetahs shifted to the Gandhi Sagar Sanctuary from the KNP were also doing well. Eight Namibian cheetahs — five females and three males — were released into the Kuno National Park on September 17, 2022, marking the first-ever intercontinental translocation of these big cats, as part of efforts to reintroduce them in India. Twelve more cheetahs were translocated from South Africa to Kuno in February 2023. Janmashtami 2025 Date: August 15, 16 Or 17? Why There's A Big Confusion This Year!
Janmashtami 2025: According to the Drik Panchang, the festival falls on August 15, the Mithila Panchang places it on August 17, and several other Panchangs cite August 16 This year, there has been considerable confusion surrounding the date of Shri Krishna Janmashtami. Is it on August 15, August 16, or August 17? Various Hindu calendars have listed different dates. According to the Drik Panchang, Janmashtami falls on August 15; the Mithila Panchang places it on August 17; while several other Panchangs cite August 16. Naturally, this has left many devotees unsure of the correct day for the festival. How Is The Date Of Janmashtami Determined? According to texts such as the Shiva Purana, Vishnu Purana, and Brahma Purana, the Janmashtami fast is observed on Bhadrapada Krishna Ashtami Tithi, the eighth day of the waning moon in the month of Bhadrapada. Lord Krishna is believed to have been born at midnight on this Tithi, on a Wednesday, under the Rohini Nakshatra, with the Moon in Taurus. Scriptures recognise two methods for determining the fast: Shuddha and Viddha. This Janmashtami fast is regarded as suitable for all devotees, regardless of their chosen method. Tithi Timing For Janmashtami 2025 This year, Bhadrapada Krishna Ashtami Tithi begins at 11:49 pm on August 15 and continues until 9:34 pm on August 16. Thus, August 16 is considered the most auspicious day for celebrating Janmashtami. On August 16, the Udaya Tithi (Tithi at sunrise) is Ashtami, making it more appropriate. Sunrise on this day is at 5:51 am, confirming that Ashtami is in effect at that time. Although Rohini Nakshatra does not align with Ashtami this year, it begins at 4:38 am on August 17 and ends at 3:17 am on August 18. The Moon enters Taurus at 11:43 am on August 16. This means the combination of Ashtami Tithi and Moon in Taurus occurs on August 16, making it the best match. On August 15, only Ashtami is present and on August 17, only Rohini is present. Only August 16 aligns both Ashtami and Taurus Moon. Auspicious Muhurta For Janmashtami As Lord Krishna was born at midnight, the auspicious time (shubh muhurta) for Janmashtami celebrations this year falls between 12:04 am and 12:47 am on August 16. For those who break their fast immediately after Lord Krishna's birth, it can be done after 12:47 am on August 17. For those who break their fast after sunrise, the suitable time is after 5:51 am on August 17. First Published: News astrology Janmashtami 2025 Date: August 15, 16 Or 17?
