Incredible moment hero dashes in front of train just in time to save man who collapsed on track

Daily Mail6 days ago
Heart-stopping footage has been released of a hero pedestrian dramatically saving a man's life after he collapsed in front of an oncoming train.
The clip shows the onlooker sprinting towards the train track in the Russian city of Derbent, before incredibly pulling the seemingly unconscious man to safety moments before the train sped through.
It is unclear what made the man tumble, but extreme heat in the area suggests it was a stifling day in Russia 's southernmost city.
The brave onlooker, who had been standing on the opposite side of the track, quickly realized what had happened and instinctively sought to save him.
Sprinting over the track as the train hurtled towards him, the courageous pedestrian saved the man's life by pulling his body to safety, keeping a tight grip on him as the vehicle steamed past with its bulky carriages.
Russian tabloid newspaper, Komsomolskaya Pravda, is now leading a push to find the lifesaver.
They said: 'The hero is being sought so that he can be honored.'

Incredible Bentley TANK uncovered by cops after being abandoned & left to rust in bushes outside garage

AN astonishing Bentley tank has been unearthed from a bush by cops after being abandoned outside a garage. The £200,000 GT Coupe was discovered during a raid on a workshop in St Petersburg, Russia. 2 2 Immigration officers found the luxury vehicle on 30 July when they were looking for illegal workers. Police video footage of the operation shows the hybrid motor parked up among weeds and bushes outside the garage. Officers also discovered 67 hybrid and heavily adapted vehicles on the site either with illegal registration documents or unroadworthy bodywork changes. A police spokesperson said: "Given the nature of the site, special attention was paid to vehicles." The Bentley is believed to be modelled on an earlier "Ultratank" built by Russian petrolhead Konstantin Zarutskiy for his YouTube channel AcademeG. His prototype, with higher tracks, could reach 81 mph, slower than the Bentley's original 200mph but still faster than any other tracked vehicle. This isn't the first time a luxury motor has been seized in a police crackdown on crime. In the UK too, police are frequently confiscating supercars to improve safety in the capital. Last year, Scotland Yard confiscated vehicles including a McClaren, Bentley, Rolls-Royce, Ferrari and Lamborghini. I bought £13,000 Bentley only to learn it was once owned by legendary TV host of classic 1980s game show Westminster local residents complained about cars driving poorly or at high-speed. So the force worked with Westminster City Council and the Motor Insurers' Bureau to remove nuisance drivers who drive around the area more frequently in the summer months. The operation launched on the evening of August 2 and ran across that weekend seizing £6million worth of cars. Officers also made five arrests including for insurance fraud, using a mobile phone at the wheel, not using a seatbelt and driving without due care. Metropolitan Police Special Inspector Geoff Tatman said: "The Met is working to put communities first - listening to and tackling their concerns. "This hugely successful operation has proved we are dealing with those crimes, such as anti-social driving, that is causing most distress to residents and tourists. "This brilliant partnership work between the Met's Vehicle Enforcement Team, Motor Insurers' Bureau and Westminster City Council demonstrates to Londoners we are doubling down on crime on the roads. "It's also testament to the hard work and dedication of the Met Special Constables – volunteer police officers - that play a vital role in our mission to make London safer and kindly give up their free time help serve the community."

Boy, 13, swept into STORM drain after playing outside during flooding

A Maryland boy died after getting swept into a storm drain while playing outside during deadly flash flooding. The unnamed 13-year-old was with a group of friends outside their Mount Airy apartment complex, approximately 40 miles west of Baltimore, when a severe storm hit Thursday. The teen became trapped amid the height of the storm at around 5.20pm, according to the Mount Airy Police Department. Desperate neighbors frantically tried to pull him from the rapidly rising waters but were unsuccessful. 'I flew out of the car, jumped into the water and started yanking on him. We just couldn't get him out,' neighbor Maggie McBain told WBAL. First responders arrived at the scene and found the boy 'waist deep' in water rising 'very quickly', Doug Alexander, the public information officer for the Mount Airy Volunteer Fire Company, told WJZ. 'The pipe is so small, and this is a child's body that fits in there, was pushed in there by the current,' Alexander said. 'The current was extremely strong, according to the guys who were on the scene here. 'I've been in this with the Mt. Airy Fire Department for 58 years, and this is, this is one of the worst situations I've seen.' The operation tragically shifted from rescue to recovery. 'The individual was ultimately recovered from the storm drain but, unfortunately, succumbed to injuries sustained during the event,' Police Chief Michael Ginevra added. 'Our thoughts and prayers are with the victim's family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time. 'We ask the community to keep them in their hearts and to recognize the dedication of the first responders who answered the call without hesitation.' Most of the state was under a flash flood watch Thursday evening and experienced severe storms, reported Fox45. Mount Airy was pelted with five inches of rain in a matter of hours. One neighbor, Chadwick Colson, told the local news outlets he saw some kids playing outside the Mount Airy apartment complex when the rain started. 'Playing around, jumping across the water, because when it rains it really kind of comes through here like a river,' Colson said. He explained that his apartment was flooded with water up to his ankles and that he was worried about having to move. 'I don't know if we can stay here tonight,' Colson said late Thursday. 'One, the apartments flooded, and two, that's 40 feet from my door. You would think it would be some type of metal bars, metal grate, something blocking the hole.' Senator Justin Ready also paid tribute to the rescue workers and expressed condolences to the victim's family. 'Absolutely horrific news in Mt. Airy this evening due to this storm,' he said. 'Our whole community's deepest condolences to the family of this young person. Thank you to first responders for their efforts. This is just awful'
